Abstract

The research aims to find out tourism potential and what strategy for involving young generation in managing tourism at the village of Tenganan Pegringsingan. The research was located at the village of Tenganan Pegringsingan. The scope of research was reinterpretation, Think Global and Act Locally, institutionalization, and institutional, type of data being used was qualitative data, source of data being used was primary and secondary data. Data sampling method being used was observation, interview and documentation study. Informant determination in this qualitative study was using Purposive Sampling. Data analysis being used was descriptive qualitative. The first to be done was conducting observation to social phenomenon, and then conducting categorization toward obtained information, next was explaining categorization, and then explaining the relation of categorization and drew general conclusions. Based on the result obtained, natural potential possessed by the village of Tenganan consists of vast rice fields, suitable to be used as trekking path across rice fields, and green forest which has been managed as ecotourism and existing trekking path. Existing cultural potential among others was, such as “Nyakan Suci, Neduh, Mekare-kare, Muhu-muhu, Mesanggah Gedebong, Mesanggah Bongkot, Munjung, Metruna Nyoman, Maling-malingan” and other traditions. This cultural potential becomes the attraction for tourists to visit the village of Tenganan. The strategy for involving young generation which including role reinterpretation attempted through internal and external of young generation. Next the slogan of Think Global and Act Locally, through global thinking and acting locally, and institutionalization covering tourism spirit of young generation, spirit to mastering internet in developing tourism network and spirit to carry forward the tradition of the ancestors. Next is institutional which including the strengthening of organization based on culture namely Sekaha Truna and Deha. The extension of Sekeha Truna Truni based on the necessity, based on Tourism Management such as Sekaha Truna and Truni. So, the role of young generation in tourism management is very important for regeneration of tourism management at the village of Tenganan in the future. Abstract

The reseach is held in The Samsara Living Museum in Jungutan Village, Bebandem Distict, Karangasem regency which displays the cycle of Balinese life starting from the fetus in the womb, born, alive, die and cremation. Unfortunately, the collection to display is very limited compared to other museums around. The research followed qualitative approach whereas data collected by observation and interview with informan. Finally, this research found out two conclusions such as (a) The name of Samsara is taken from the phase of reborn and ready to begin another cycle after previous life. Based on this principle, human is suggested to live with care and love but avoid himself to do bad things because the world imply cause-result effect; (b) Realizing the display is limited compared to museum in general, narrative skill is a way to attract more visitors to come. Since it is cultural-based museum, some visitors not knowing well the ritual on display. Here, the guide explained them carefully through suggestive-narrative where the explanation leads listeners to fell involved in the activity and added another meaning, that is cultural meaning. It is delivered slowly to convince visitors so that limited display does not a problem at all.

Abstract

Cultural tourism is a type of tourism that specifically conserves the various resources it uses, namely tourism that develops culture in a sustainable manner. Bali has wealth in the form of a variety of cultural arts, customs and traditions, and religious procedures and their existence as a legacy from the past. Cultural arts in Bali can live and develop influenced by various religious ceremonial activities. This study analyzed the reconstructing the cycle of life as a cultural tourism attraction in the Samsara Living Museum. This study aims to find out the destination branding and the life cycle of the Balinese people which are appointed as the concept of this samsara living museum. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and literature study. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative. This study concludes that the Samsara Living Museum has sparked destination branding and has implemented the reconstruction of the Balinese life cycle as a cultural tourism attraction. Abstract

Natural tourist attraction is a tourist attraction in the form of diversity and uniqueness of natural wealth which includes natural tourist attractions based on the potential diversity and uniqueness of the natural environment that exists in the sea and land. Duda Timur is one of the villages that has a variety of natural potential that can be developed, namely in the natural attractions of land areas in the form of plantations, hills and rivers, the purpose of this study is to identify the potential possessed by the village that can be developed as a nature-based tourist attraction. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, in-depth interviews and literature studies. The data analysis used was descriptive qualitative. The result of this research is that Duda Timur Village has tourism potential that can be developed, namely Jagasatru Waterfall, Beji Dedari and Bukit Putung

Abstract

Penglipuran Village Festival is a cultural festival held as a form of community commitment to preserve traditions and culture in Penglipuran Village. This study analyzes the event marketing process in organizing Penglipuran Village Festival IX and how Penglipuran Village Festival IX became a promotional medium for Penglipuran Tourism Village after the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used qualitative descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques carried out in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. Data is analyzed based on the event marketing process and 7P marketing mix, namely product, price, place, promotion, process, people, and physical evidence. The results of this study show that the implementation of the Penglipuran Village Festival IX event is in accordance with the event marketing process based on the model of Lynn Van Der Wagen (2010). 7P as an element of the marketing mix has also been fulfilled in Penglipuran Village Festival IX. The main target of Penglipuran Village Festival IX is foreign tourists and quality domestic tourists. The presence of the Penglipuran Village Festival IX event with various interesting programs can be a turning point in tourism recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

East Duda Village is a village located in Selat District, Karangasem Regency, Bali which is culturally and spiritually filled with the potential for plantations, waterfalls, rolling hills and other tourist attractions. Most of the people make their living as farmers, especially as salak farmers. Apart from that, the economic growth of East Duda Village is also influenced by the tourism sector. The aim of this service is to empower local communities in managing the potential of their villages to support tourism. The implementation methods used in this community service are discussion, interviews, presentations and community service methods. The results of the community service carried out are producing village promotional videos, teaching children in elementary schools, entrepreneurship seminars for MSMEs, Cooking Classes for PKK mothers, Launching Arak Poleng and Community Service in the village environment.

Abstract

Ossotel Legian is a four-star hotel. Employees are a valuable asset owned by Ossotel Legian. The problems encountered are the lack of manpower when the room occupancy rate is above 60%, and the slow taking of work in completing the work that causes performance to decline. This problem will be discussed using the SWOT analysis technique. This research is qualitative research supported by the types and sources of data, namely qualitative and quantitative data as well as primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the SWOT analysis technique, namely analyzing internal factors (Strengths & Weaknesses) and external (Opportunities & Threats) with the help ofthe  Internal-External Matrix and SWOT Matrix. The results of this study show that the strategies that can be applied at Ossotel Legian are SO Strategy: Strategy to Increase Employee Creativity, WO Strategy: Strategy to Increase Employee Motivation, ST Strategy: Strategy to Increase Cooperation among Employees, and WT Strategy: Employee Development and Training Strategy and Improvement Strategy Employee welfare.

Abstract

The Denpasar Tourism Development Master Plan Regional Regulation for 2018-2029 No. 3 of 2019 and The Yogyakarta Tourism Development Master Plan Regulation for 2015-2025 No. 3 of 2015 serve as guiding documents for the future trajectory of tourism development in their respective regions over the next decade. These regulations are instrumental in ensuring that the progression of tourism aligns with predetermined visions and objectives. This study adopts a comparative approach, which involves analyzing and contrasting the two regulations to draw insights. Comparative analysis is employed as a method to scrutinize data and derive new insights. The findings from this analysis reveal both similarities and disparities between the two regulations. Commonalities include shared objectives, legal underpinnings such as UU 1945 article 18, paragraph 6, adherence to Law no. 10 of 2009, regulatory types, timeframes, and general provisions. However, distinctions emerge in discussions about general and specific differences. Regarding tourism development objectives outlined in each regulation, such as those Denpasar Regional Regulation No. 3 of 2019, article 13 and Yogyakarta Regional Regulations No. 3 of 2015, article 7, both emphasize similar goals: fostering the growth of the creative economy, enhancing employment opportunities, boosting regional income, and safeguarding the environment. The effective implementation of these regulations of expected to yield positive outcomes for all stakeholders involved in tourism development.

Abstract

With the existence of competition between hotels, management must be able to compete to provide satisfaction for guests to come to stay at the hotel they manage. One of the factors that influence guest satisfaction is the quality of service and facilities. This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality and facilities partially and simultaneously and to determine the influence of service quality and facilities on guest satisfaction at the Mercure Bali Legian Hotel. The sample collection method used was purposive sampling. The population in this study were guests staying at the Mercure Bali Legian Hotel, while the sample used in this study was 70 respondents. Data collection techniques by means of observation, distribution of questionnaires and documentation, and data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression. The results of this study show that partially service quality has a positive and significant effect on guest satisfaction at the Mercure Bali Legian Hotel. Partially, facilities have a positive and significant effect on guest satisfaction at the Mercure Bali Legian Hotel. Simultaneously the quality of services and facilities has a positive and significant effect on guest satisfaction at the Mercure Bali Legian Hotel. The influence of service quality and facilities on guest satisfaction at the Mercure Bali Legian Hotel is 34.6%, while the remaining 65.4% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

Dewasa ini kunjungan wisatawan mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan pengembangan desa wisata yang membawa dampak bagi masyarakat sekitar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dampak yang muncul akibat pengembangan desa wisata terhadap lingkungan, sosial budaya serta ekonomi masyarakat di Desa Wisata Penglipuran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengembangan desa wisata memberikan dampak yang positif dan negatif terhadap lingkungan, sosial budaya dan ekonomi masyarakat setempat. Pengembangan desa wisata penglipuran berdampak terhadap kualitas lingkungan dan sumber daya alam yang terjaga dengan baik disamping adanya dampak negatif akibat mobilitas serta aktivitas wisata di Desa Wisata Penglipuran. Ditinjau dari aspek sosial budaya, pengembangan desa wisata berdampak terhadap struktur populasi masyarakat, pelestarian kesenian dan kebudayaan melalui Penglipuran Village Festival serta pemeliharaan bangunan tradisional. Dampak negatifnya yaitu perubahan pola pikir dan perubahan gaya hidup masyarakat lokal. Dampak yang dirasakan dari aspek ekonomi yaitu adanya peluang usaha, kesempatan kerja dan peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat dan daerah. Namun, bersamaan dengan hal tersebut muncul ketergantungan terhadap industri pariwisata terlebih juga adanya dampak yang disebabkan oleh pandemi Covid-19 bagi perekonomian masyarakat lokal.
