Abstract

This study explores the practice of Qur’an Journaling on the Instagram account @helmpaperco as a manifestation of Living Qur’an in the digital culture. Utilizing a qualitative approach with etnographic methods, this research finds that digital journaling activities create a reflective and spiritual space that strengthens personal connections with the Qur’an. This practice is characterized by users' emotional and intellectual engagement, as well as thematic and adabi-ruhi interpretations. These findings indicate that social media can serve as an effective medium for contextual and participatory engagement with the values of the Qur’an.

Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji bagaimana akun Instagram @tafsiralmishbah.digital menyajikan konten tafsir Al-Qur’an dengan menerapkan pendekatan Analisis Media Siber (AMS) yang dikembangkan oleh Rulli Nasrullah. Topik ini dipilih karena meningkatnya tren dakwah melalui media sosial serta pentingnya keabsahan dalam penyebaran tafsir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menganalisis empat dimensi utama dalam pendekatan Analisis Media Siber: Ruang Media (Media Space), Dokumen Media (Media Archive), Objek Media (Media Object), dan Pengalaman (Experiential Stories). Temuan menunjukkan bahwa akun tersebut memadukan nilai sosial dalam penafsiran (adab al-ijtima’i) dengan penyajian visual dan fitur interaktif Instagram. Respons pengguna menunjukkan adanya pengalaman religius yang mendalam dan komunitas maya yang saling terhubung secara spiritual. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya menghadirkan konten tafsir yang valid, kontekstual, dan edukatif dalam lanskap digital. Hasilnya menjadi acuan bagi pengembangan dakwah berbasis media sosial yang relevan dan bertanggung jawab di era digital.

Abstract

The main advice of Islam is for sinners to repent immediately because religious arguments explain that repentance is a door of convenience, as well as acting as a procession for eliminating sins. Meanwhile, the problems faced by humans today are increasingly diverse and increasing. This study aimed to discuss repentance as a basis for problem solving. The method used in this study is a qualitative method based on the literature review with the content analysis. Then to explain the verse in this study, it was carried out using the thematic interpretation method (maudhu’i). The result of this study as a discussion that includes the meaning of repentance and the problem solving, verses about repentance related to the problem solving, and the analysis of repentance as a basis for the problem solving. This study concludes that based on the analysis carried out with thematic interpretation steps, it is known that denial and sin cause calamities and problems both on a small and large-scale. Then repentance exists as a purification step for the soul that is offered to eliminate drop calamities and problems and replace them with luck.

Abstract

This article examines one of the manuscripts of the al-Qur'an manuscripts stored in the Great Mosque of the Surakarta Palace, namely the copy of Sayyid Ibrahim bin 'Abdullah al-Jufri. The manuscript has many eccentric aspects that are interesting to study further. This article examines the waqf and ibtidā’ symbols that differ from the mushafs that are circulating and read by people in Indonesia. This research employs qualitative with a library research method, namely conducting a literature review by reading, reviewing and analysing various sources. The data collection methods are observation, documentation, interviews and digitalisation. Meanwhile, the data analysis used is a descriptive-analytical method, namely describing data related to the object of study, the results are then analysed critically. Apart from that, this research also uses a philological method, namely the single manuscript edition method. The primary source for this research is Tuan Sayyid Ibrāhīm al- Jufri's manuscript of the Qur'an, while secondary sources are taken from relevant research literature. The study results show that the manuscript of Sayyid Ibrahim al-Jufri's manuscript of the Qur'an applies the symbolisation of waqf and ibtidā’ with five models, namely " تــــ" (waqf tām), " ک" (kāfīy), "ح" (hasan), "الزم" (lazim), and "نبوي " (Nabawiy).

Abstract

Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah is an Islamic organization founded in North Sumatra in 1930. The main focus of this organization is on Islamic education and preaching, as well as efforts to integrate Islamic teachings with nationalist values. This research uses a qualitative approach based on literature study, by examining relevant texts and literature. Research findings show that Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah seeks to align Islamic teachings with contemporary issues such as education, health and welfare. Theological and sufisme thinking in this organization reflects a response to the challenges of modernity and has made significant contributions to education and preaching, as well as promoting tolerance and moderation in a diverse society.
