Abstract

Trans Metro Pekanbaru (TMP) is public transportation that has been operating since 2009 in Pekanbaru. It has function to reduce the problems related to public transport and traffic that appear because of the development of the city itself. During the time, the changing of passenger quantity, service quality and operation could happen anytime. Therefore, this research was done to find out the effectivity of Trans Metro Pekanbaru corridor II that serves the transportation from Terminal Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki (BRPS) to Kulim with the load factor as the indicator. The aim of this research is to determine the value of load factor and analyze the characteristic of Trans Metro Pekanbaru route that refer to the changing of load factor value, especially to the corridor of Terminal BRPS- Kulim. The results of this research were TMP busses of Corridor II which were not effective yet if we concern from the number of passenger, because the most of  the load factor on this corridor has not appropriate the standard load factor value yet, based on the SK Dirjen No. 687 at 2002 (70%), so it was not optimal in serving the movement of passengers. Based on the result of the analysis, the characteristics of Trans Metro Pekanbaru Corridor II has value load factor greater than 70% were in the holiday period from Terminal Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki to Kulim was the Kantor Pos shelter - Metro Plaza 1 shelter that is a transit shelter in the city center and shelter at the shopping center. From the results of statistical tests that have been performed, the selection mode equation Trans Metro Pekanbaru is :    Y = 5.75 - 0.061 X1 + 0.008 X2 + 0.000 X3 + 0.005 X4. Attributes considered is the waiting time (X1), speed (X2), rate (X3) and the convenience vehicles (X4).  Keyword : Trans Metro Pekanbaru, load factor, regression, stated preference

Abstract

Menggala sand is one of the natural sand obtained from the mound excavation located in the Province of Riau, and if the terms of the costs of using natural sand is certainly cheaper than the fine aggregates quarry result, it is not required additional costs for the fragmentation. Use of Menggala sand still limited and not optimal so that there should be research on the use Menggala sand as fine aggregate against asphalt concrete wearing course (AC-WC) with reference to the Specifications of Bina Marga 2010 3rd Revision. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics (properties) of natural Menggala sand whether it meets the requirements to be used as a mixture of AC-WC and influence the use of Menggala sand on performance or quality AC-WC through an examination of the characteristics of Marshall. Specifications of Bina Marga 2010 3rd Revision restricting the use of natural sand 15% of the total weight of the mixture of aggregate. Given the low cost of natural sand use in this study tested levels of sand with a variation of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. The results showed that a mixture of AC-WC with Menggala sand as fine aggregate eligible VMA (voids in mineral aggregate), VIM (voids in the mix), VFA (voids filled with asphalt), stability, Flow and Index of Retained Strength (IRS ) determined by the Specifications of Bina Marga 2010 3rd Revision to 20% sand content with optimum bitumen respectively - were based on variations in the sand content of 6.3%, 6.33%, 6.15%, 6.1% and 5.925%.Keywords: Menggala sand, Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course (AC-WC), Spesification of Bina Marga 2010, and Marshall characteristic

Abstract

Trans Metro Pekanbaru (TMP) is a kind of ‘bus rapid transit’ in Pekanbaru. TMP has been operating since 2009 and there are many obstacles during the operation.  As time passes, the changes in the quantity of the passenger, quality of service and operation may possibly happen. Therefore, this research is conducted to determine the effectiveness of Trans Metro Pekanbaru (TMP), especially on Perum Pandau Permai – Pelita Pantai corridor with load factor as an indicator.  Bus TMP survey conducted by the method of observation and questionnaire. Observations adapted to the SK Dirjend Perhubungan Darat No. 687 at 2002. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed using Stated Preference Techniques. The survey observations were made in the TMP Buses that operate on the corridor I the number of surveyors is 11 people. While the questionnaire survey conducted by the two surveyors with the deployment of a random sample.  The obtained results of this research are the route characteristic of Trans Metro Pekanbaru corridor I is adequately effective based on the number of passengers, due to the load factor in this corridor is partially meet the load factor standard of SK Dirjen No. 687 at 2002 (70%) so it is fair optimal in serving the passenger movement. Based on the analysis, the value of load factor in corridor I have more than 70% in the afternoon, either on holiday or working days which obtained between Pelita Pantai towards Perum Pandau Permai route from BNI to Mekar Sari stations. From the results of statistical tests that have been carried out in this study, obtained the equation Y=7,932 – 0,045X1 – 0,031X2 + 0,000X3 + 0,015X4 for model selection with Trans Metro Pekanbaru attributes considered is the the waiting time (X1), speed (X2), rate (X3), and the comfort of the vehicle (X4).  Key words: Bus Rapid Transit, Trans Metro Pekanbaru, Load Factor

Abstract

The road pavement that was inundated by peat water would be easily damaged since asphalt is quickly oxidized by acid in peat water. This damage could also occurred due to inundated by rain. The road pavement submerged by rainwater will make aggregate and asphalt easily separated. This study aims to determine the impact of peat water and rain on the characteristic of AC-WC asphalt through Marshall tests using asphalt penetration 60/70. The tests were carried out using the Marshall tests based on the Indonesian Standard from Bina Marga 2018. The specimens were soaked for 24, 48, 72, and 96 hours in the temperature of 60°C. The tests results shows that immersion in the peat water and rain could decreased the stability of asphalt value as soaking time increased. Based on the results, it is shown that the asphalt has stability values of 1103.68 kg, 948.81 kg, 854.48 kg, and 780.55 kg, respectively, after soaked in peat water for 24, 48, 72, 96 hours. Also, it is shown that the asphalt has stability values of 1206.43 kg, 1185.68 kg, 978.94 kg, dan 889.85 kg, respectively, after soaked in rain water for 24, 48, 72, 96 hours. In peat water, the asphalt has RSI value of 95.83%, 82.38%, 74.19%, 67.77%, respectively, after soaked for 24, 48, 72, 96 hours and in rain water, the asphalt has RSI value of 97.18%, 95.51%, 78.85%, 71.68%, respectively, after soaked for 24, 48, 72, and 96 hours. It was obtained that asphalt soaked in rain water has a better RSI value than asphalt soaked in peat water and it is complied with the requirement of Bina Marga 2018 (90%).Keywords: Rain, peat water, AC-WC

Abstract

Jalan Kaharudin Nasution – Marpoyan has a length of 6.76 Km. This road has an important role in the process of moving human and goods traffic inside and outside the city of Pekanbaru. In maintaining the good condition of this road, goverment must do a road management program so that the road condition is always maintained. Knowing the current condition of the remaining structural life (RSL) of pavement can be used in preparing the types of road preservation works. This study uses data from the Riau Province National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) in the form of average daily traffic data (LHR) and deflection data. The results of the analysis showed that the condition of the Kaharudin Nasution-Marpoyan national road was 16.18% in good condition; 82.35% moderate condition; and 1.47% in a slightly damaged condition. While the road handling activities required are 41.17% of the length of the road requiring routine maintenance, and 58.82% of road segmen needs overlay.
