Abstract

Crossroad is an intersection of two or more roads that joins or crosses each other and often run into traffic conflicts. The intersection of Cempaka Road – Teratai Road is one of a intersection without traffic signs. Traffic conflicts, such as traffic jams during the peak hour, have happened frequently in this intersection. This study’s objective is to calculate the performance of this intersection based on Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia, MKJI) 1997. The study took three days to finish; Saturday (28/10/2017), Sunday (29/10/2017), until Monday (30/10/2017), with observation hours happening during morning (07.00-09.00 WIB), noon (11.00-14.00 WIB) and afternoon (16.00-19.00 WIB). Based on the conducted surveys and traffic calculation, traffic peak hours happen on Monday from 16.45 to 17.45 WIB with the value of Q = 2984,5 smp/hr, C = 3170 smp/hr, Ds = 0,94, DTI = 12,70 s/smp, DTMA = 9,08 s/smp, DTMI = 19,91 s/smp, DG = 4,02 s/smp, D = 16,72 s/smp, and QP = 36 - 70%.. Due to the calculated Ds having a value higher than the value stated by MKJI which is 0,75, a planning and regulation needs to be done for the intersection of Cempaka Road – Teratai Road. In order to make the value of Ds for this intersection lower than 0,75, a lane (B) prohibiton and a widening of the major lanes from 7,7 m and 7,6 m into 9,7 m and 9,6 m respectively were done and then the Ds value for Cempaka Road – Teratai Road intersection finally reaches the intended target with the value being 0,69.Keywords: Intersection without traffic sings, traffic flow, capasity, degree of saturation

Abstract

Data dari Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia Sektor Kampar mencatat adanya 1.013 kasus kecelakaan dalam rentang tahun 2017-2020. Besarnya angka kejadian kecelakaan mengakibatkan kerugian baik secara moriil dan materil. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mencarilokasi rawan kecelakaan dan mengidentifikasi karakteristik kecelakaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam menentukan lokasi kecelakaan adalah metode Average Crush Frequency (ACF) dan Equivalent Property Damage Only (EPDO). Empat lokasi yang diperoleh, yaitu;Jl.Umum Pku-Bangkinang KM 40, Pekanbaru-Taluk Kuantan KM. 20-21, Jl.Umum Pasir Putih Km 7, Pekanbaru-Taluk Kuantan KM. 31-32. Permasalahan keselamatan lalu lintas di jalan Pekanbaru-Bangkinang KM 40 adalah waktu kecelakaanterjadi pada siang dan malam hari dengan tipe kecelakaan rear end. Beberapa kendala yang terjadi diantaranya, tidak ada rambu peringatan, marka jalan kurang jelas, tidak ada PJU. Permasalahan keselamatan lalu lintas di jalan Pekanbaru-Taluk Kuantan KM. 20-21 terjadi pada siang dan malam hari dengan tipe kecelakaan rear end. Penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan dikarenakan tidak adanya rambu hati-hati, tidak adanya rambu peringatan daerah rawan kecelakaan. Pada Jalan Pasir Putih KM 07 waktu kecelakaan terjadi pada siang hari, dengan tipe kecelakaan head on. Penyebab kecelakaan tidak ada rambu peringatan, kenderaan yang parkir sembarangan, tidak jelas marka jalan, tidak ada paku jalan.  Pada Jalan Pekanbaru-Taluk Kuantan KM. 31-32 waktu kecelakaan terjadi pada siang hari, dengan tipe kecelakaan rear End. Penyebab kecelakaan diantaranya yaitu adanya rambu hatihati, tidak adanya rambu peringatan daerah rawan kecelakaan, tidak ada Penerangan Jalan Umum (PJU).

Abstract

Indragiri Hilir is one of regency in Riau Province which have the most coconut plantations. Increasing of coconut production will be in line with the waste produced. The utilization of waste from coconut plantations, especially coconut shells, has not been carried out optimally in Harapan Tani Village, Kempas District, in Indragiri Hilir Regency. This is due to the lack of knowledge about the utilization of waste from coconut shells. In fact, if the waste is processed, it can become a product with high economic value, namely charcoal briquettes. So an efforts to increase public knowledge is needed to be carried out through community service activities, namely by socializing and training to produce charcoal briquettes from coconut shell waste. From the activities that have been carried out, there is a high interest from participants in participating in the training and there is an increase in participant knowledge of the benefits of coconut shell waste charcoal briquettes and participants are able to make briquettes from coconut shells independently.
