Abstract

This research aimed to get the moisture content and dose of bokashi gamal accordance with the vegetative growth of the sweet corn  plant (Zea mays saccarata) and the benefit of this study was to provide the information on the effects of agriculture on groundwater levels and bokashi gamal to plants. The research design using factorial completely randomized design. The first factor bokashi gliricidia with 3 levels of treatment was without bokashi gamal (B0), bokashi gamal 20 t.ha-1(B20), and bokashi gamal 40 t.ha-1 (B40). The second factor levels with 3 levels of water treatments, namely, water content 50% field capacity (K50), the water content of 75% field capacity (K75), and water content 100% of field capacity (K100). Treatment was repeated three times to obtain 27 experimental units. Data analyzed by analysis of variance according to the design used and conducted a further test using Honestly Significant Difference (HSD). The results showed the interaction between water content and Bokashi Gamal significantly affected the vegetative growth of the plants sweet corn. The water content of 50-75% and gamal bokashi 20-40 t.ha-1gave the best to plant vegetative growth of sweet corn.

Abstract

 This study aimed to determine the physical properties of the soil under forest land and that under forest land converted into plantations of cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) in Parigimpu'uvillage, West Parigi sub district, ParigiMoutong district. Soil analysis was carried out in the Laboratory of Soil Science of the Faculty of Agriculture, TadulakoUniversity. Survey method used in this research was through observing and determining the research location. Three undisturbed and three disturbed soil samples were collected from each land use (forest and cacao plantation). The undisturbed soil samples were taken from 0 – 20 cm soil depth using soil rings while the disturbed soil sample were obtained compositely from the same depth.  The research results showed that the soil characteristics in the cacao plantation tended to decreased compared to that in the forest land.  Soil bulk density ranged from light to heavy with porosity varied from less to good.  Soil texture was dominated by sand fractions in the forest land with relatively lowsoil C-organic.

Abstract

Kelompok tani yang menjadi mitra dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah Bina Tani. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah seringnya terjadi longsor di areal hutanrakyat dan kebun rakyat yang menyebabkan produktivitas lahan semakin berkurang serta kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat dalam menerapkan teknik konservasi terpadu pada hutan dan kebun rakyat. Program kemitraan masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk melakukan diseminasi teknologi usahatani konservasi lahan terpadu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat. Metode yang diterapkan adalah pelatihan, pelaksanaan demplot pertanian konservasi, pendampingan dan pembinaan yang dilakukan secara partisipatif. Pada kegiatan pelatihan dan demplot diberikan materi mengenai teknik konservasi tanah seperti pembuatan kontur, teras, penggunaan pupuk yang teratur, pembuatan dan pengelolaan drainase, penanaman dalam strip, tanaman penutup tanah dan pemilihan pergiliran tanah yang cocok. Hasil pelaksanaan PKM menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan  diseminasi  sangat dirasakan  manfaatnya oleh masyarakat karena meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam mengurangi risiko bencana (mitigasi) khususnya bagi yang bermukim di kawasan rawan longsor.

Abstract

This research starting in August to November 2014, which is located in the Porame village,Kinovaro District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi province to the altitude of 235 meters above sea level. The Experimental method used was randomized block design in factorial with three replications. The first factor consisted of M0=unmulched, M1=black-silvered plastic mulch, M2=sawdust mulch and M3=rice straw-mulch, whereas the second factor were four NPK Mutiara dosages; P1=NPK dose 100 kg.ha-1 ,P2=NPK dose 200 kg.ha-1, and NPK dose 300 kg.ha-1. Each treatment was repeated 3 times so that overall there are 48 experimental units. The observed variables were the growth parameter root long ,plant height, tuber diameter, soil moisture content, weed dry weight, and yield (number and weight of chilli). The result showed that application of mulches give significant affect of all growth dan yield parameter, and NPK Mutiara fertilizer dosages were significant effect to root long, plant height , number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per plot, fruit weight per hectare and soil moisture content. The best mulch and dose for chilli crops in upland area was black silvered plastic mulch whith NPK Mutiara fertilizer dose 300 kg/ha of 7.32 ton.ha-1

Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that cause erosion, measure the level and how to overcome the dangers of erosion in the Bolapapu watershed. This research was conducted in the Bolapapu watershed which is located in the middle of the Miu sub-watershed and is located in Kulawi District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The results of the research show that in various forms of land use using plant management methods (C) and conservation techniques, namely soil management (P), there are several things that can be concluded: (1) changes in plant management factors on each land unit can prevent the level of danger of erosion and can increase land productivity; (2) conservation measures, namely soil management (P), can change the physical shape of the length and slope of the slope and inhibit the rate of runoff; (3) in land rehabilitation efforts using plant and soil management methods in relation to erosivity which can change the physical form of erodibility; (4) land rehabilitation planning in the Bolapapu watershed can not only reduce the level of erosion hazard or increase land productivity, but can improve the economic conditions of the community through plant management. economically valuable actions through conservation techniques.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effects of swallow bird droppings bokashi on several soil chemical properties such as pH, C-Organic, N, P, K, CEC, and to determine the appropriate dosage of bokashi fertilizer for the growth of ebony seedlings. This research was conducted at Permanent Nursery located at Tadulako University. This study was conducted using a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications, 20 experimental units as: P0 (control), P1 (7 tons/ha), P2 (14 tons/ha), P3 (21 tons/ha), and P4 (28 tons/ha). The results showed that the swallow droppings bokashi fertilizer was able to improve: soil pH 7.18 to 7.55 with a neutral status, P from 41.34 to 65.06 with very high status, K from 46.26 to 53.87 with high status, C-Organic from 5.30 to 10.25 with high to very high status, and N-Total from 0.12 to 0.34 although in low status in the soil. The application of swallow droppings bokashi into the soil was very much needed. C-Organic content in swallow droppings bokashi was 50.23%, N (4.26). The application of swallow droppings bokashi with a treatment of 21 tons/ha (61.25 g/pot) was the best dose for the growth (height) and the increase number of leaves of ebony seedlings.

Abstract

Bawang merah termasuk salah satu komoditi unggulan daerah Sulawesi Tengah. Pengembangan bawang merah oleh petani masih dilakukan secara konvesional dengan penggunaan pupuk anorganik dan pestisida kimia yang tidak sesuai dengan rekomendasi. Untuk mengurangi pemakaian pupuk anorganik dan pestisida kimia sintetik dapat dilakukan dengan penerapan good agriculture practice (GAP). Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh kelompok tani mitra dalam menerapkan teknik budidaya bawang merah sesuai standar GAP adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan petani dalam menyiapkan sarana produksi berbasis organik yang diperlukan dalam budidaya bawang merah yang sesuai dengan GAP. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi masyarakat dalam menerapkan sistem pertanian yang baik (good agriculture practice, GAP) untuk meningkatkan produktivitas bawang merah sebagai salah satu komoditi unggulan daerah Sulawesi Tengah. Metode yang diterapkan adalah pelatihan (training), demonstrasi demplot percobaan, dan pembinaan terhadap kelompok tani mitra yang dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Hasil pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan peserta terutama dalam penyiapan sarana produksi khususnya pupuk organik dan pestisida nabati dan dapat menerapkan teknik budidaya bawang merah sesuai standar GAP yang dimulai dari penyiapan lahan sampai dengan cara budidaya yang baik dan benar sesuai dengan prosedur standar operasional budidaya bawang merah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan keeratan hubungan antara beberapa sifat fisika tanah pada beberapa penggunaan lahan berbeda. Survai tanah stratifikasi dilakukan pada penggunaan lahan sawah, hutan, dan cabai. Analisis sifat fisika tanah dilakukan di Laboratorium Ilmu Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Tadulako. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan penggunaan lahan hutan menjadi pertanian intensif menyebabkan perubahan bobot volume, konduktivitas hidrauik, karbon organik, dan kadar air tanah kapasitas lapang. Keeratan hubungan diantara bobot volume tanah dan kadar air kapasitas lapang maupun bobot volume tanah dan konduktivitas hidraulik tergolong pada kriteria kuat dan sangat kuat. Hubungan diantara karbon organik dengan konduktivitas hidraulik maupun karbon organik dan kadar air kapasitas lapang tergolong kriteria sedang dan kuat.

Abstract

Jagung merupakan komoditas strategis di Kota Palu dengan produktivitas cukup tinggi, namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas pada konsumsi langsung sehingga nilai ekonominya rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan ekonomi produktif melalui pengolahan susu jagung yang difortifikasi dengan daun kelor sebagai sumber gizi tambahan. Program dilaksanakan di tiga BPP (Layana, Duyu, dan Kayumalue) dengan metode penyuluhan, pelatihan, demonstrasi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari kelompok tani dan kelompok wanita tani yang terlibat aktif dalam seluruh tahapan. Produk susu jagung fortifikasi daun kelor diterima baik oleh peserta, dinilai enak, bergizi, dan memiliki potensi sebagai usaha rumah tangga berbasis pangan lokal. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, memperkenalkan teknologi sederhana yang aplikatif, serta membuka peluang pengembangan usaha kecil berbasis diversifikasi jagung.
