Abstract

STEAM merupakan aktivitas yang berkenaan dengan integrasi sains, teknologi, teknik, seni, dan matematika sedangkan berpikir kritis pada anak usia dini merupakan salah satu keterampilan dasar yang dimiliki oleh anak yang dapat membantu anak dalam mengenal diri dan lingkungannya, serta mengembangkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah yang dihadapainya Fakta yang dijumpai dilapangan, tema yang digunakan setiap sekolah masih belum dekat dengan anak, sehingga pada saat proses pembelajaran anak bingung dengan materi yang diberikan oleh gurunya. Jenis metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan kualitatif. Dalam penelitian yang akan dilakukan nantinya, peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi / observasi, wawancara, dokumen dan triangulasi.Secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa peran guru dalam mengimplementasikan pendekatan pembelajaran STEAM pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada anak di TK Tunas Rimba 1 sudah berjalan dengan presisi ( 60%) walaupun kenyataannya masih dalam adaptasi dengan pendekatan yang digunakan sebelumnya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh terbatasnya ruang kelas yang dimiliki oleh TK Tunas Rimba 1, serta terbatasnya alat dan bahan untuk proses pembelajaran. Dalam hal ini tidak membatasi para guru untuk tetap totalitas dalam mengajar serta membimbing anak-anak. bahwa peran guru dalam mendampingi serta menstimulasi dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada anak usia 3-4 tahun sudah berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini disebabkan pada saat proses pembelajaran guru selalu mendorong anak untuk aktif, kreatif, memberikan kesempatan untuk menuangkan pendapatnya, serta menuangkan idenya.

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of interest in learning and student learning achievement, the lack of use of STEAM-based learning media in learning so that learning is less interesting so that it affects student learning interest. This study aims to describe how interest in learning and learning achievement of elementary school students is influenced by STEAM-based robokid learning media. One group pretest-posttest design is used in this type of quantitative descriptive research. In this study, questionnaires, interviews, and observations were used to collect data. In this research using data analysis techniques in the form of Paired samples t-test and N-gain score test. In the paired samples t-test, the results of data analysis of learning interest and learning achievement show sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05. Interest in learning gets an average N-Gain Score of 0.7014 on the N-Gain Score test, while learning achievement gets an average N-Gain Score of 0.4029. It was concluded that STEAM-based robokid learning media can improve the learning achievement of elementary and high school students. So that robokids learning media can be used by teachers in learning.

Abstract

This research addresses the challenges in enhancing early childhood education (ECE) quality standards through the application of School-Based Management (SBM). Despite widespread recognition of the importance of SBM in educational settings, many schools, especially in early childhood education, struggle to meet established quality standards due to limited decision-making autonomy, inadequate leadership, and insufficient community involvement. The research problem revolves around the gap in understanding how SBM can be effectively applied to improve ECE standards, particularly in decentralized school systems. The study aims to investigate the key factors influencing the successful implementation of SBM in early childhood education, focusing on leadership engagement, teacher involvement, community participation, and alignment with quality standards. Using a qualitative literature review approach, the analysis synthesizes data from academic articles, reports, and case studies published in the past decade. Key factors identified through thematic content analysis highlight the importance of decentralized decision-making in improving educational outcomes. The findings suggest that SBM can lead to measurable improvements in educational practices, resource allocation, and community engagement when implemented effectively. Specifically, leadership autonomy, teacher involvement in decision-making, and active community participation are critical drivers for enhancing ECE quality. These results provide actionable insights for policymakers and school administrators to tailor SBM implementation strategies, ensuring that they align with both local needs and established national and international quality standards. This study contributes to the academic understanding of SBM’s role in early childhood education, offering practical recommendations for policy reforms and school management practices aimed at improving ECE quality through decentralization.
