Abstract

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the hospital workload to increase which causes employees who work in hospitals to experience stress because they are always required to always provide the best service under any conditions. Based on this, efforts are needed in order to improve employee performance by using factors that affect employee performance. This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation, work environment, and organizational culture on employee performance at the Grhasia Mental Hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This research is quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were employees with the status of State Civil Apparatus who worked in the Grhasia Mental Hospital with 84 research samples that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Based on the results of the Correlation Pearson test, it shows that there is a relationship between work motivation, work environment, and organizational culture on employee performance at the Grhasia Mental Hospital during the Covid-19 Pandemic with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between work motivation, work environment, and organizational culture on employee performance at the Grhasia Mental Hospital during the Covid-19 Pandemic. For this reason, hospitals need to maintain motivation, work environment and organizational culture properly so that the performance of employees is maximized.

Abstract

Background: Hospitals are complex healthcare institutions, which provide diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services to individuals in need. Its main focus is on patient safety and risk management, including occupational safety and Health. Occupational safety and health measures aim to protect workers and visitors from potential accidents in the workplace. Clinical laboratories in hospitals are one of the areas with the highest OHS risks, which have a key role in creating a safe environment for both patients and workers. This study aims to understand laboratory activities, identify hazards and risks, assess risks, evaluate risks, and provide risk control recommendations. Methods: This study used qualitative methods with in-depth interview techniques and observation using HIRARC form sheets. The research design used was a case study approach. Interview informants were selected through snowball sampling technique. Results: The results of the study are in accordance with the AS/NZS 4360: 2004 standard on the HIRARC form to conduct risk assessments on microbiology, clinical chemistry and immunology, hematology, and hospital blood bank service activities. This risk assessment is used to provide risk control recommendations, which are based on the Occupational Health Safety Administration's OHS risk control hierarchy. The most dominant risk controls carried out are engineering controls and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Conclusion: OHS risk analysis in the laboratory activities of PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Hospital shows satisfactory results, but still requires increased compliance in the use of PPE, updating laboratory SOPs, as well as monitoring and rearranging workspace and environmental cleanliness.

Abstract

Background: Kasus COVID-19 di Indonesia masih terus ada dan mengalami pasang surut, salah satunya di Kabupaten Klaten. Keterbatasan petugas kesehatan dan rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam menerapkan protokol kesehatan menjadi salah satu penyebab masih adanya kasus COVID-19 di Kabupaten Klaten. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan peran kader kesehatan dalam membantu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan bekerjasama dengan Puskesmas Trucuk 1 dan Puskesmas Trucuk 2. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 60 orang perwakilan seluruh Desa di Kecamatan Trucuk. Metode: Metode yang digunakan Focus Group Discussion, workshop serta pelatihan yang dilakukan pada bulan November-Desember 2021. Hasil kegiatan yaitu ada peningkatan pemahaman peserta setelah dilakukan kegiatan workshop dan pelatihan. Hasil: Pelatihan dengan praktik simulasi menambah wawasan peserta dalam melakukan edukasi kepada masyarakat. Kesimpulan: Peran kader kesehatan dapat menjadi solusi dalam menyadarkan masyarakat.
