Abstract

Pregnancy is a crucial period time of life. One of the contributing factors in pregnancy is mother’s nutritional need, one of which is protein intake. A pregnant woman’s protein need must be fulfilled for the health of both mother and baby. A more active lifestyle of a pregnant woman will also induce more baby’s brain development than a less active one. To analyze the correlation between protein intake and daily activity with infant birth weight in third trimester pregnant women. Analytic observational using prospective cohort design.Independent variables are protein intake and daily activities.Protein intake data is acquired from 2x24 hours food recall, daily activity is measured using Baecke questionnaire and infant birth weight is measured using a baby scale.Sample size of this study is 109 women achieved using simple random sampling. Statistic test used was chi square test.Mean number of pregnant women’s protein intake per day is 0,68±0,469gr.Bivariate test result shows a significant correlation between protein intake and infant birth weight(p=0,000) and a sighificant correlation between daily activities and infant birth weight(p=0,000). There is a correlation between protein intake with infant birth weight in third trimester pregnant women; and there is a correlation between daily activity with infant birth weight in third trimester pregnant women.

Abstract

Supplementary food distribution for pregnant women still depends on the local policy. This program is funded using Health Operational Funds and distributed in form of milk, eggs, raw materials such as green beans and others. The field constraints of this program were acceptability and willingness of pregnant women to process the raw materials. This study aims to address the problems of providing supplementary food for pregnant women who suffer from chronic energy malnutrition and anemia by making the formulation of high protein biscuits and Fe using soybean flour substitution catfish eggs and flour as a source of protein and Fe.  Biscuits produced is expected to be one of the snacks and nutritions for women who suffer from chronic energy deficeincy. The ingredients were flour, fish powder, soy flour, eggs,  milk powder, sugar, and maize flour. The method used was pure experimental approach completely randomized design with three times repetition. The formulation of the biscuits proportion between fish and soy flour as much as 2:1, 1:1, and 1:2. Proximate test shows that the proportion of fish and soy flour 1:2 has the highest energy value (496.81 kcal) with a value of 17.74% protein. Organoleptic test indicates that the most favorable taste and tekstur was the formulation with the proportion of fish flour and soy flour 1:2. The formulation of high protein and Fe biscuits for women with chronic energy malnutrition and anemia in Boyolali favoured by third trisemester pregnant women is the one with the proportion of 1:2.

Abstract

The tendency to eat in response to stress known as emotional eating (EmE). Individuals with EmE usually has been change their dietary pattern towards more unhealthy snacking which contribute to overweight. This study aims to examine the interrelationship between EmE, snacking behavior and nutritional status among adolescents. This was an analytic observational with a cross sectional design study. It was conducted in Surakarta, on August 2019. Total 140 adolescents aged 14-17 years were selected. The data ofEmE were measured by Emotional Eater Questionnaire (EEQ), data of snacking behaviour measured by food frequencies questionnaire (FFQ),and BMI were measured using weight scale and microtoice. Data wereanalyzed by descriptive, bivariate and binary logistic using SPSS v.23. There was significantly difference of EmE and snacking behavior in underweight, normal, and overweight adolescents. We found that underweight (4.17±3.16) and normal individuals (4.97±4.19) were not an emotional eater, and less sweet snacks and sweet drinks consumption while overweight individuals were an emotional eater (14.26±6.04) and eat more sweet snacks, and sweet drinks (p<0.001) during negative emotional states. It was shown that emotional eating and snacking behavior were found higher in overweight than underweight and normal individuals.

Abstract

UKM Murni Snack adalah UKM di Kabupaten Sukoharjo Jawa Tengah yang bergerak di bidang makanan ringan. UKM ini kurang memiliki daya saing, karena kondisi dari tahun ke tahun relatif sama. Padahal persaingan usaha makanan, semakin hari semakin ketat. UKM ini memiliki permasalahan antara lain label kemasan yang masih sederhana, kemasan produk masih biasa, dan keadaan UKM belum bisa berkembang. Pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan beberapa metode yaitu sosialisasi kegiatan; introduksi label, kemasan dan hand sealer; pelatihan kewirausahaan serta kegiatan pendampingan. Tim pengabdi melakukan kegiatan yang terdiri dari perbaikan label kemasan, mengintroduksikan jenis kemasan yang bersifat marketable dengan menggunakan kemasan standing pouch, mengintroduksikan alat berupa hand sealer, dan kegiatan pelatihan kewirausahaan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat sudah dapat memberikan perbaikan kondisi UKM, pengetahuan UKM meningkat dan pemasaran menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

Kemasan merupakan hal yang penting di dalam mengemas suatu produk. Kemasan dapat menjaga supaya produk berada dalam kondisi aman, terlihat lebih cantik dan menarik,  sehingga produk dapat memikat konsumen atau pembeli. Kondisi persaingan antar produsen makanan yang semakin besar, menyebabkan nilai estetika dari sebuah kemasan akan menjadi daya tarik tersendiri. Nilai estetika kemasan merupakan salah satu cara untuk menjaring konsumen. Permasalahan yang dihadapi UKM Suki adalah kemasan produk yang tidak menarik dan belum menunjukkan informasi mengenai kripik bangsreng. Kegiatan Pengabdian Mayarakat melalui Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini mempunyai tujuan untuk memperbaiki desain kemasan Kripik Basreng UKM Suki agar dapat lebih menarik, bagus dan marketable. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode pendampingan di dalam proses perbaikan desain kemasan yang digunakan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan dan introduksi kemasan yang lebih marketable dapat meningkatkan image  produk Kripik Basreng UKM Suki. Produk dapat bersaing di pasaran, sehingga produk dapat dipasarkan lebih luas.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya akan sumber daya alam dan perekonomiannya bergantung pada sektor pertanian sehingga dikenal sebagai negara agraris. Agraris adalah kondisi dimana sebagian besar mata pencaharian penduduk suatu negara adalah bertani. Industri buah mangga adalah salah satu industri yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan dalam sektor perkebunan. Hasil IFE menunjukkan terdapat 3 aspek kekuatan, 3 aspek kelemahan dan hasil EFE terdapat 3 aspek peluang dan 3 aspek ancaman. Matriks SWOT digunakan untuk penentuan alternatif strategi dan Matriks grand strategy merupakan alat analisis yang digunakan untuk merumuskan kuadran pada suatu alternatif strategi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari Matriks grand strategy menunjukan posisi koordinat pada kuadran I (satu). Sumbu horizontal (X) menunjukkan pada posisi 2.04, sedangkan sumbu vertikal (Y) pada posisi 0.51. Kuadran I merupakan kuadran yang menerapkan strategi S-O. Kuadran I S-O menunjukkan beberapa strategi yang dapat diterapkan, yaitu 1) diversifikasi produk mangga untuk meningkatkan daya saing, 2) Pengembangan pasar melalui ekspansi 3) Penetrasi pasar secara online dan offline.

Abstract

The development company is one of the important factors underlying the creation of a successful business so that it can maintain its productivity in the long term. Likewise, MSMEs need to design a business strategy to support the progress of their business during increasingly competitive business competition. This study aims to identify business implementation, analyze business potential, and formulate strategic priorities in Gula Aren Temon SMEs. The research method used is a qualitative method with analytical tools in the form of BMC, VRIO, SWOT, and QSPM. The results of the study show that the nine building blocks of the BMC analysis describe the interrelated elements of Gula Aren Temon SME’s business implementation. The VRIO analysis results show that most of the resources owned by the business are at competitive parity. The results of the SWOT Analysis show that there are nine alternative strategies, while the priority chosen strategy to implement is to maximize the quality of service and products to maintain relationships with consumers and other partners. The strategy was chosen based on the highest TAS score, namely 6,280.

Abstract

In 2023, the global prevalence of anemia among female adolescents is projected to reach 32.8%, indicating a persistently high prevalence. The primary cause of anemia is iron deficiency, and its common signs and symptoms include weakness, fatigue, lethargy, tiredness, and a lack of energy which can significantly impact the well-being of individuals. Young women with anemia may experience growth retardation, increased susceptibility to infections, reduced physical fitness, and difficulties in concentration and learning. One strategy to address this issue is the development of a creative nutritional education media that can improve adolescents' knowledge about anemia. Therefore, this study aims to develop a Snakes and Ladders game-based nutritional education media, specifically designed for adolescent females who are at a higher risk of developing anemia. The research follows a research and development approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Both qualitative and quantitative data analyses were employed to analyze the media validity. Quantitatively, the educational media received positive validation scores, with media experts providing an 84,4% rating, material experts rating it at 83,8%, and linguistic experts at 85,2%. The young female respondents in the media trial phase achieved an average knowledge scores of 88% regarding anemia. In conclusion, the nutrition education media based on the popular Snakes and Ladders game is both feasible and effective as an educational tool for anemia education. Further development of the educational media should consider targeting a broader audience, such as pregnant women and nursing mothers

Abstract

Preeclampsia (PE) is a health problem that often occurs during pregnancy. Pregnant women with preeclampsia are at risk for premature delivery, babies born with LBW, and increased maternal and infant mortality. This study aimed to measure the effect of physical activity and iron and folic acid intake on the risk of preeclampsia in pregnant women. A cross-sectional study was conducted in the Tangerang Regency in July 2022. 130 pregnant women aged ≥ 20 weeks were obtained using multistage sampling. Data were collected using the SQ-FFQ (the Semi-quantitative Food Frequency) Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) and Physical Activity using a validated PAL (physical activity level) questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using Spearman’s rank and Multiple Linear Regression tests. Results: There was an association between iron and folic acid micronutrient intake and preeclampsia incidence in pregnant women (p<0,05). Furthermore, simultaneous physical activity and iron and folic acid intake increased the risk of preeclampsia in pregnant women (p<0,05) by 10,7%. In conclusion, lack of physical activity and consumption of nutritious foods, especially those containing iron and folic acid, can increase the risk of preeclampsia during pregnancy.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui tingkat keterlibatan konsumen, perbedaan antar merek jamu tradisional, dan tipe perilaku konsumen dalam proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian jamu tradisional di Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Metode deskriptif analitis digunakan sebagai metode dasar penelitian. Teknik survei digunakan dalam pengumpulan data. Pasar Jamu Nguter Sukoharjo dipilih secara purposive sebagai lokasi penelitian. Sebanyak 100 konsumen yang diambil sebagai responden secara purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan analisis desain inventaris keterlibatan, analisis uji Anova satu arah, dan model tipe perilaku konsumen. Hasil penelitian diketahui konsumen memiliki tingkat keterlibatan yang tinggi dalam proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian. Perbedaan antar merek jamu tradisional di Kabupaten Sukoharjo adalah signifikan. Tipe perilaku konsumen jamu tradisional adalah perilaku pembelian kompleks. Konsumen melakukan pencarian informasi terkait jamu tradisional dan menilai terdapat perbedaan yang jelas dan nyata di antara merek-merek jamu tradisional.
