This study aims to analyze the influence of learning motivation, family support, and campus visit on the decision to continue studies to higher education among twelfth-grade students of public senior high schools in North Jakarta in the academic year 2025/2026. The transition from secondary to higher education is a critical stage for students, yet many students face uncertainty in determining their educational future. This research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory correlational design. Data were collected through a survey using questionnaires distributed to 220 respondents selected through multistage sampling techniques, including purposive sampling and proportionate stratified random sampling. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The results indicate that learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on the decision to continue studies to higher education, while campus visit also has a positive and significant effect. However, family support has a positive but not significant effect on the decision to continue studies. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.593 indicates that 59.3% of the variation in the decision to continue studies can be explained by the three independent variables, while the remaining 40.7% is explained by other variables outside the research model. These findings provide important implications for schools, particularly in strengthening career guidance and counseling services, as well as facilitating campus visit activities to assist students in making more informed and well-planned decisions about their higher education choices.

This study aims to analyze the potential of leading sectors in Bogor City for 2018–2025. The research is motivated by Bogor City's economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, although its structure is still dominated by the Wholesale and Retail Trade sector. The increase in GRDP has not been able to explain which sectors are base sectors, have competitiveness, and are feasible to be prioritized as regional leading sectors. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data of GRDP at constant prices of Bogor City and West Java Province for 2018–2025. The analysis techniques used include Location Quotient, Shift Share, and Klassen Typology. The results show that based on Location Quotient, there are 14 base sectors and 3 non-base sectors. Based on Shift Share, sectors with relative competitiveness are indicated by positive KPPW values, especially Water Supply; Transportation and Warehousing; Accommodation and Food Services; Education Services; Health Services; and Other Services. The Klassen Typology results show that these sectors are in Quadrant I as advanced and rapidly growing sectors. Based on the integration of the three methods, the leading sectors of Bogor City are those six sectors. The results indicate that the dominant sector is not necessarily the main leading sector.

This study aims to analyze the influence of regional capital expenditure, labor force participation rate (LFPR), and school enrollment rate (SER) on the open unemployment rate (OUR) in 27 districts/cities of West Java Province during 2020-2024. Unemployment remains a serious structural problem in Indonesia, particularly in West Java as the province with the largest population and labor force. This research employs a quantitative approach with panel data regression using the Fixed Effect Model. Data were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Finance across 135 observations. The results indicate that regional capital expenditure has a negative but not significant effect on OUR (p-value 0.9212). LFPR has a negative and significant effect on OUR (coefficient -0.321508; p-value 0.0000). SER has a negative and significant effect on OUR (coefficient -0.376762; p-value 0.0005). The R² of 0.809898 indicates that 80.99% of the variation in OUR is explained by the three independent variables. These findings provide important implications for local governments in formulating more effective fiscal policies and improving human resource quality through education to reduce unemployment.

The results indicate that regional economic growth has a negative and significant effect on unemployment (coefficient -1.877; p-value 0.0028). Investment has a negative but not significant effect (coefficient -0.167; p-value 0.2364). The number of micro and small industries has a negative and significant effect on unemployment (coefficient -2.629; p-value 0.0020). The R² of 0.8666 indicates that 86.66% of unemployment variation is explained by the three independent variables. These findings provide important implications for local governments in formulating more effective economic policies and strengthening the micro and small industry sector to reduce unemployment

This study aims to analyze the influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Domestic Investment (DI), and Provincial Minimum Wage (PMW) on labor absorption in DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten during 2010-2024. These three provinces are strategic economic centers in Java, yet their Labor Force Participation Rates remain below the national average. This research employs a quantitative approach with panel data regression using the Fixed Effect Model. Data were obtained from BPS and BKPM across 45 observations. The results indicate that FDI has a positive but not significant effect on labor absorption (coefficient 258.5232; p-value 0.0782). DI has a positive and significant effect on labor absorption (coefficient 35.06602; p-value 0.0068). PMW has a negative but not significant effect on labor absorption (coefficient -0.431825; p-value 0.2150). The Adjusted R² of 0.9826 indicates that 98.26% of labor absorption variation is explained by the three independent variables. These findings imply that domestic investment plays a more significant role in creating employment opportunities compared to foreign investment and minimum wage policies in the region.
