Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning Model in improving the writing skills of elementary school students. The study employed a systematic literature review method, examining 15 accredited scientific articles from Sinta-indexed and 3 from Scopus-indexed journals published between 2021 and 2025. The selection process followed the PRISMA guidelines with strict inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis results indicate that the implementation of the CIRC model consistently improves students’ writing skills, ranging from expository texts, narratives, and invitation letters to spelling and creative writing abilities. These improvements occurred through mechanisms such as heterogeneous group collaboration, reading-writing integration, discussions, and peer feedback. The CIRC model also increased students’ motivation, engagement, and confidence in writing. This study concludes that CIRC is an effective and flexible learning strategy for addressing low writing skills in elementary school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan reward and punishment terhadap disiplin belajar siswa sekolah dasar melalui metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menganalisis artikel ilmiah yang diperoleh dari database Google Scholar dan Crossref dalam rentang tahun 2021–2025. Proses seleksi artikel dilakukan menggunakan pedoman PRISMA sehingga diperoleh 15 artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan reward and punishment efektif dalam meningkatkan disiplin belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Reward mampu meningkatkan motivasi, tanggung jawab, dan kepatuhan siswa terhadap aturan belajar, sedangkan punishment yang bersifat edukatif dapat mengurangi perilaku tidak disiplin serta menumbuhkan kesadaran siswa terhadap pentingnya menaati aturan. Selain itu, motivasi belajar dan pembentukan karakter turut mendukung keberhasilan penerapan reward and punishment dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, penerapan reward and punishment yang dilakukan secara tepat, seimbang, dan konsisten dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam membentuk disiplin belajar siswa sekolah dasar.
