Abstract

Empowering appropriate technology is very important to support the sustainability of small businesses in the region. This activity is essential to introduce appropriate technology to high school/vocational school students as young technology drivers. This community service program aims to teach students how to use relevant technology in everyday life. Guiding in completing appropriate technology according to the needs the small business desires properly and correctly. The method for implementing community service activities is carried out by directing the Implementation and completion of the tools used at the regional level. The first stage is developing and applying TTG machines in natural resource management. The second stage is implementing the TTG machine for community empowerment (strategic opportunities and challenges). The third stage is implementing TTG machines to manage abundant natural resource potential. The fourth stage is the promotion of TTG machines for community empowerment in the Implementation of Law No. 6 of 2014. The fifth stage is the design and method of making the TTG machine.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) kue Pudak Di Gresik sangat banyak jumlahnya, namun UMKM tersebut memiliki beberapa permasalahan salah satunya yaitu dalam proses produksinya rata-rata belum tersentuh Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) sehingga pertumbuhannya kurang maksimal karena masih dilakukan secara manual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu merancang desain mesin produksi pudak yang inovatif dengan mempertimbangkan prioritas keinginan konsumen atau pengguna sebagai dasar menentukan urutan spesifikasi mesin untuk meningkatkan kualitas, efektifitas, dan meningkatkan kapasitas hasil produksi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD) untuk menentukan atribut kebutuhan konsumen terhadap mesin produksi pudak dan tingkat kepentingan, serta ditentukan urutan prioritas spesifikasi mesin dengan metode Analytical Hierachy Process (AHP). Hasil penelitian menghasilkan desain mesin pudak yang mampu memenuhi keinginan UMKM dengan prioritas mesin yang tidak mudah rusak dengan bobot prioritas sebesar 0,252 dan atribut respon teknis yang diprioritaskan yaitu mesin memiliki tombol otomatis dengan nilai keterkaitan sebesar 21.

Abstract

Injection molding has become a significant manufacturing technique in producing complex polymer components. Its molding efficiency depends on various process and machine parameters, which determine the quality of the final product in terms of various output responses. It is important to state that proper optimization of different input parameters is essential to achieve the desired quality index. This article presents a review of various techniques used so far to optimize various injection molding parameters, along with their advantages and limitations. It is found in the review that a brilliant technique that can be operated without human intervention has not been developed. The design of the injection machine uses a small scale between 75 gr to 150 gr with a heating variation ranging from 200 0C to 250 0C. When testing the tool, it showed that to achieve the optimal final result of a product, it takes 228 seconds at a hot temperature of 200 0C; if the temperature is increased to 225 0C, it takes 217 seconds, and if it is increased to 250 0C, it takes a shorter time of 208 seconds.

Abstract

Dengan rendahnya tingkat daur ulang saat ini dan peningkatan produksi plastik secara eksponensial, terjadi peningkatan pemborosan bahan plastik, sehingga diperlukan teknologi baru untuk pemurnian limbah. Saat ini di surabaya, hanya sekitar 14% limbah plastik yang didaur ulang, yang sebagian besar dicapai melalui daur ulang mekanis. Metode daur ulang kimia seperti pirolisis dapat meningkatkan tingkat daur ulang ini secara signifikan, karena dapat memanfaatkan campuran limbah plastik tidak seperti daur ulang mekanis. Pirolisis menawarkan alternatif yang ramah lingkungan untuk insinerasi dan penimbunan sampah yang tidak efisien. Saat ini, tantangan utama untuk pirolisis limbah plastik adalah tidak tersedianya dan kualitas bahan baku yang tidak konsisten, pemilahan yang tidak efisien dan karenanya mahal, tidak adanya pasar yang menyatakan kurangnya produk standar, dan peraturan yang tidak jelas seputar pengelolaan limbah plastik. Solusi yang mungkin dapat mencakup kerja sama yang erat antara penyedia bahan baku dan konverter untuk memastikan kuantitas dan kualitas bahan baku yang stabil. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk melaksanakan pelatihan dan pengenalan bagi siswa SMA Wachid Hasyim 5 Surabaya tentang proses kondensasi pada pengolahan limbah plastik menjadi bahan bakar minyak menggunakan sistem pirolisis dengan kapasitas 10 liter.

Abstract

Packing mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting didalam perusahaan dimana produk yang dihasilkan harus bisa dikemas disuatu wadah, untuk menjamin keselamatan produk dari jatuh sewaktu pengiriman atau penyimpanan dari ketinggian maka produk box speaker harus diberikan tambahan menggunakan packing foam, penelitian ini desain keseluruhan menggunakan Solidwork dikarenakan sangat mudah didalam melakukan modifikasi, material foam untuk box speaker dengan ketebalan 40.0 mm tetapi pada bagian packing foam atas dan bawah ada groving 15.0 mm ketebalan berkurang menjadi 25.0 mm, dimensi yang terbentuk untuk membuat packing didapatkan dari assembly packing foam dengan box speaker, material packing menggunakan double flute jenis C mendapatkan hasil panjang 580.0 mm, lebar 530.0 mm dan tinggi 850.0 mm, dan pada dimensi luar packing mendapatkan hasil anjang 600.0 mm, lebar 550.0 mm dan tinggi 876.0 mm. Kata Kunci: Box speaker, Double flute, Foam, Packing dan SolidWork

Abstract

Mitra PKM ini adalah Ibu Popy Dwi Novitasari dan Ibu Feri Retno Nurhayati. Pemilik usaha kue bolen pisang raja “Nona Perry” diambil dari kedua nama tersebut. Usaha tersebut di jalan Lempung Baru No 1, Lontar Kecamatan Sambikerep, Surabaya Jawa Timur, 60185. Prioritas permasalahan yaitu:1) Belum ada pengelolan penyimpanan bahan baku pisang raja untuk produksi yang baik 2) Inkonsistensi produksi karena produksi masih terbatas pada pesanan, 3) Belum ada diversifikasi produk, Kue Bolen “Nona Perry” hanya mempunyai 2 variasi rasa yaitu rasa coklat dan keju, 4) Belum ada pembrandingan, walaupun sudah ada merk “Nona Perry” untuk produk bolen tersebut tetapi penguatan brand image “Nona Perry” masih perlu ditingkatkan. 5) Segmen Pasar masih terbatas pada pesanan para kolega dan teman sejawat, 6) Belum adanya promosi secara masif hanya terbatas pada grup WA dan Instagram.7) Mitra masih minim pengetahuan tentang modal kerja dan perhitungan laba rugi, 8) Tenaga kerja yang keluar masuk, 9) Mitra masih minim pengetahuan tentang pengolahan limbah produksi dan green economy, 10) Mitra masih minim pengetahuan untuk berinovasi tentang pengolahan produksi lanjutan. Luaran yang ditargetkan 1) laporan kemajuan dan laporan akhir, 2) video kegiatan, 3) poster kegiatan PKM tersertifikasi Hak Cipta, 4) Konferensi Nasional ke-11 PKM-CSR tahun 2025.

Abstract

A paper company produces many kind of papers where notebooks are its main products. The production approach is make to order. At the completion of the production processes indicates delays due to long lead times. Long lead time of production reduces the company's flexibility and speed of response to customers. The company should shorten the lead time. Shortening lead time, the speed customer response will be faster, the productivity will be increasing and utilization of production resources will more effective. This study propose the use of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method to overcome it. VSM will identify wastes that can be eliminated, so the company can reduce production costs, meet customer demand, and also increase the company's revenue and market share. The observation identifies wastes in the HC Folio production processes, such as waiting, transportation and unnecessary inventory. Based on the significant wastes, it proposes some improvements to repair the transportation and waiting wastes. To handle work in process parts, the study recommends to implement of rails and trains. It will reduce production time that decreases from 66,828 hours 49 minutes 48 seconds to 30,938 hour 56 minutes 24 seconds.

Abstract

Abstract A brick building material widely used in the public good urban and rural areas, the bricks used for building construction as non-structural and structural materials in the residential home building or home .As simple non-structural typically used in multi-storey buildings for insulation between rooms, or as a garnish. Community many brick-making business either continuous or seasonal production in the dry season only, that is where the problems that had been there are no standard composition of raw clay bricks. Then conducted the research as an evaluation of the composition of the constituent raw material clay, and performed statistical improvement in the manufacturing process. In the process of the experiments conducted by Taguchi approach. Taguchi experiments carried out by determining the best levels of the factors related to the quality of the bricks will be improved. From research by several factors that are taken, the most dominant factor that can increase the hardness of the brick is a mixture of the composition, the composition of the standard mixture of 90% clay, 5% bran, 5% fine sand has a hardness (voltage crushed) 57 s / to 80 kg / cm 2. By changing the composition of a mixture of 85% clay, 5% bran, 10% fine sand can increase the hardness of 89 s / d 105 kg / cm 2, and at this composition when water reproduced or softer then the resulting brick hardness can be increased again until 145 kg / cm 2.

Abstract

Abstract The effort of searching about cheaper fuel alternative and environment friendly was solution for problem in rare fuel. This paper examine potential energy from renewable source. Design in reactor with 16m3 capacity for retain feces from 200 human. Based on calculation from the design, this reactor can produce biogas about 4m3/day. Air methane affected by ratio input of C/N (human fecess), time of residence, pH, temperature, and toxicity. Digester temperature about 25–27oC and pH 7–7,8 produced biogas with composition of methane air about 77%. For using this gas we need level of pressure 4 mm H2O and biogas level at 0.23 m3/hour. Beside this if we want for household activities for example cooking we need biogas 0.30 m3/hour with level pressure at  75 mmH2O. The analysis for effect on environment from mud that produced from reactor shown decreasing at COD about 90% from  new material condition. The comparing of  BOD/COD about  0,37 smaller than normal condition from liquid waste that have BOD/COD=0,5. And the other benefit we get analysis of composition N, P dan K shown same result that we get at fertilizer.

Abstract

Manufacturing organizations faces many changes along with the occurrence of environmental changes, it comes from internal and external sources. Innovation become one of the keywords to help the organizations be more competitive, such as doing product development. First, digging through from the survey, the customer’s needs as the initial planning phase, concept development, system level design, detail design, test and reparation details among the beginning of production. During the product development process, the Organization has not identified the potential waste in detail yet at each stage of product development. Moreover, the repair process becomes less effective. By using this concept, it will help in potential waste identify. The results showed that the stage of concept development had the highest frequency, for instance the common of lacking information related to the customers need products information which will be developed. Then, frequency is happened on the stage of the testing, and refinement, detail design, system level design and planning. Through the concept of lean VSM can be known by using a value of VA 53%, NVA 29% and 18% Waste, time to market can be shortened 18% or 47 days from early 262 days be 215 days.
