Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explain what are the factors that influence the acquisition of locative particles ni and de in class 2019 students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP Riau University. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The sample in this study was Class 2019 students consisting of 3 (three) male students and 3 (three) female students. From the results of research using interviews, obtained several factors that affect the acquisition of locative particles ni and de such as motivation, formal study and environment.Keywords: Acquisition, Locative Particle, Motivation

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a correlation study between Japanese language extracurricular activities (X) and a lot of learning (Y) using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. In this study, there was a significant influence on Japanese language extracurricular activities on students' interest in learning Japanese in class. Where students who take part in Japanese language extracurriculars have a positive attitude during the learning process, such as being able to answer questions from the teacher, do assignments and are always present when learning Japanese in class.Key Words: Influence, Japanese language extracurriculars, interest in learning

Abstract

Abstract: This research contains explanations and elaborations regarding the obstacles or challenges faced by Japanese language teachers or instructors, when using the revised 2013 curriculum during online learning when the co-19 pandemic occurred. This research was conducted with the aim of identifying what problems teachers face while implementing the revised 2013 curriculum in schools when teaching online using the 5M scientific approach in the learning process and describing how teachers solve problems that occur in implementing the revised 2013 curriculum at the implementation of Japanese language online learning at a senior high school level. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach method, conducted with full interviews with respondents to find out firsthand the complex problems experienced in social situations that occurred when respondents were carrying out the process of learning Japanese during a pandemic. From interviews obtained data that has been processed and analyzed, and some results can be drawn that the obstacles experienced by teachers include not being able to control students directly when observing scientific approaches, problems implementing strategies to encourage students to ask questions, obstacles when associating, obstacles guiding students to analyze the data and several other obstacles which will be explained in more detail in the results and discussion chapter. The obstacles experienced by teachers in implementing high school Japanese online learning in Kab. Kuantan Singingi is a new situation for teachers. Even so, the teacher still tries to address obstacles so that the learning process continues to run well.Key Words: Challenges, 2013 Curriculum, Japanese Language Online Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This research contains trends or tendency in the implementation of research by students of the Japanese Language Study Program at the University of Riau, graduating in 2018-2022. The problems that will be discussed in this study, are the tendency of student thesis seen from the point of view of the chosen research methods and the length of time the thesis is being worked on. The purpose of this research is to describe the trend or any tendency of conducting educational research for students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, University of Riau, that are graduating in 2018-2022. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The sample used in this research is the graduate student thesis in 2018-2022, totaling 47 theses. The data analysis technique is described using descriptive statistical analysis using relative frequency distribution tables (percentage distribution) and using the mean formula to find the average length of time students are writing their thesis.Key Words: The Tendency, Research Methods, The Length of Time the Thesis is Being Worked on

Abstract

Kanji learning is difficult if the teaching medium used is not interesting and relevant to technological advances. This research aims to describe the stages in developing middle-level Kanji teaching media with the help of Instagram social media to increase students' interest in learning middle-level Kanji. The research subjects were students studying Kanji in the third semester of the Japanese Language Education Study Program at FKIP, Riau University. The method used in this development research is the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In this research, development was only carried out until the teaching media design stage. Teaching materials for 45 intermediate-level kanji were uploaded to an Instagram account. Each post contains one kanji accompanied by a mnemonic illustration, the meaning of the kanji, how to read onyomi, how to read kunyomi, a video of the writing sequence, and is equipped with examples of vocabulary and the application of the kanji in simple sentences. The results of the development of teaching media in this research were: 1) analysis found that the average score of students was low because the teaching media was less interesting and difficult to remember. 2) produce an Instagram-based teaching media design containing illustrations and video tutorials related to Kanji teaching with interesting visualizations. The conclusion of the research is that the presence of interesting visual-based teaching media and the help of social media such as Instagram are needed to increase understanding of intermediate-level Kanji teaching material. Keywords: Kanji, intermediate level, teaching media, Instagram, development.   Abstrak Pembelajaran Kanji sulit dilakukan jika media ajar yang digunakan kurang menarik dan relevan dengan kemajuan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tahap-tahap dalam pengembangan media ajar Kanji level menengah berbantuan media sosial Instagram untuk meningkatkan minat peserta didik dalam pembelajaran Kanji level menengah. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik yang menempuh pembelajaran Kanji di semester tiga Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang di FKIP Universitas Riau. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian pengembangan ini adalah model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu analisis (analyze), desain (design), pengembangan (develop), implementasi (implement) dan evaluasi (evaluate). Pada penelitian ini pengembangan baru dilaksanakan hingga tahap desain media ajar. Materi ajar sebanyak 45 Kanji level menengah diunggah ke sebuah akun Instagram. Setiap post memuat satu Kanji dilengkapi dengan ilustrasi mnemonik, makna Kanji, cara baca on’yomi, cara baca kunyomi, video urutan penulisan serta dilengkapi dengan contoh kosakata dan penerapan Kanji tersebut dalam kalimat sederhana. Hasil dari pengembangan media ajar pada penelitian ini adalah 1) ditemukannya analisis bahwa nilai rata-rata peserta didik rendah karena media ajar yang kurang menarik hingga sulit diingat. 2) dihasilkannya desain media ajar berbasis Instagram yang berisi ilustrasi dan video tutorial terkait pengajaran Kanji yang visualisasinya menarik. Simpulan dari penelitian adalah bahwa diperlukan kehadiran media ajar berbasis visual menarik serta bantuan media sosial seperti Instagram untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dengan terhadap materi ajar Kanji level menengah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Japanese Club terhadap minat belajar bahasa Jepang siswa SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasi dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan angket sebagai instrumen penelitian. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 siswa yang mempelajari bahasa Jepang sebagai mata pelajaran lintas minat dan mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Japanese Club. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di sekolah memperoleh nilai rata-rata 82 dan berada pada kategori sedang. Sedangkan minat belajar bahasa Jepang siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata 82 dan berada pada kategori sedang. Adapun korelasi Product Moment antara partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Japanese Club dan minat belajar bahasa Jepang siswa SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru diperoleh hasil sebesar 0,634. Korelasi dalam pernyataan tersebut adalah korelasi kuat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang Refleksi Mahasiswa dalam Pelaksanaan Project Based Learning pada Mata Kuliah Tadoku melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan teori Project Based Learning, hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan project based learning pada mata kuliah Tadoku 2 sudah sesuai dengan 6 tahapan PjBL yaitu penyajian masalah, pembuatan rencana, penyusunan jadwal, monitoring pembuatan proyek, pelaksanaan asesmen dan evaluasi. Penyajian masalah pada proyek yaitu mengambil isu buku cerita dari ide teman, karena banyak ide dari bacaan yang berbeda-beda. Selain itu ada juga yang bersumber dari sumber lain seperti berita dan televisi. Selanjutnya sebelum mengerjakan proyek dilakukan pertanyaan awal kepada dosen. Pemahaman mahasiswa tentang pembuatan rencana pada refleksi mata kuliah Tadoku 2 yaitu mahasiswa memahami tujuan proyek yaitu lebih giat dalam membuat buku cerita bahasa Jepang, adanya pembagian tugas dalam mengerjakan proyek, adanya target pengerjaan proyek yaitu seminggu sekali, dan mendapatkan informasi dari berbagai sumber seperti buku tadoku, IRG dan Margoto. Pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap penjadwalan pada refleksi mata kuliah Tadoku 2 yaitu mahasiswa memiliki jadwal penyelesaian proyek yaitu seminggu sekali dan waktu pengerjaan proyek 10-15 menit. Pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap monitoring pembuatan proyek pada refleksi mata kuliah Tadoku 2 yaitu dosen dan mahasiswa lain memberikan pendapat terhadap pengerjaan proyek buku cerita dari kelompok lain melalui kontrol setiap minggu, terdapat keterlibatan anggota kelompok yang aktif berkontribusi dan sebagian yang kurang aktif diberikan motivasi dan saran untuk menyelesaikan tugasnya. Pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap pelaksanaan penilaian pada refleksi mata kuliah Tadoku 2 yaitu terdapat kriteria penilaian proyek seperti alur cerita, struktur bahasa dan pesan cerita, diskusi kelompok merupakan penilaian dari dosen di depan kelas dan terdapat waktu penilaian proyek yaitu pada saat UAS. Pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap evaluasi pada refleksi mata kuliah Tadoku 2 yaitu terdapat refleksi diri setelah presentasi dengan cara meningkatkan kerjasama kelompok bagi semua yang aktif, mahasiswa mengoreksi kembali kesalahan jika ada sampai selesai dan dosen memberikan kesimpulan di akhir pembelajaran tentang buku cerita.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to provide education, build motivation, and enhance the understanding of agricultural vocational high school (SMK Pertanian) students and teachers in Pekanbaru regarding employment opportunities in Japan through the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program. This initiative was undertaken in response to the Japanese government's decision to open up job opportunities for foreign workers. This policy remains relatively unknown among prospective graduates of agricultural vocational schools in Indonesia. The methods used in this activity included seminars, material presentations, interactive discussions, and questionnaires to assess participants' understanding and responses. The results showed that most participants lacked sufficient knowledge about job opportunities in Japan but demonstrated high enthusiasm to learn more. Based on the evaluation, the activity was considered successful in broadening participants' insight into career prospects in Japan and encouraging them to better prepare for the global job market.
