Abstract

Tilapia is a freshwater animal that is always in contact with the aquatic environment so that it is easily infected by bacteria through water. This study aims to identify the types of bacteria that cause diseases that attack Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) kept in Dimembe District, North Minahasa Regency. This study uses a descriptive exploratory research method. The results of the study found sixteen isolates and identified them as bacteria that cause Tilapia disease in North Minahasa Regency, including Aeromonas sp. (4 isolates), Plesiomonas sp. (5 isolates), and Enterobacter sp. (1 isolate). based on morphological characteristics (colonies and bacterial cells) and biochemical (catalase, oxidase and motility tests). It was found that periodic and continuous fish disease surveillance is needed to monitor the spread of fish diseases, especially Tilapia disease in North Minahasa

Abstract

This study used catfish Clarias gariepinus as an experimental animal, which given supplementation of curcumin and thyroxine hormone. The results showed that during the reproductive period there was an increase in body weight of female catfish in line with the development of the gonads. Through the histology of the gonads, it appeared that oocyte development occurs over time.  The results of liver histology showed a high activity of hepatocyte cells as indicated by the formation of vacuoles, as the storage site for vitellogenin, in their cytoplasm. Supplementation of curcumin and thyroxine was able to increase the specific growth rate of catfish, and the catfish group that given the combination treatment of curcumin supplementation (5 g.kg-1 of feed) with thyroxine hormone (0.1 mg.kg-1 of feed) showed the more optimal results.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the occurrence of various difficulties in the learning process, namely teachers have not used a variety of learning methods according to students' learning styles so that students' interest in learning is still lacking. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data sources in the study were outstanding biology students in class XI. The sources in the study were 3 outstanding students who obtained the highest scores in Biology subjects in Class XI A-XI G of SMA Negeri 3 Manado. Based on the data obtained through research and data validity tests using data triangulation, it can be concluded from the results of the study which show that outstanding students in Biology subjects in Class XI A-XI G of SMA Negeri 3 Manado have a combined learning style of visual, auditory and kinesthetic (VAK). However, among these learning styles, the most dominant is the kinesthetic learning style, from 21 students it was found that 3 students had a tendency towards a visual learning style, 5 students had a tendency towards an auditory learning style, 10 students had a tendency towards a kinesthetic learning style and 3 students had a combination of learning styles, namely: 1 student had a visual kinesthetic learning style, 1 student had an auditory kinesthetic learning style, and 1 student had a visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning style.

Abstract

Abstract

Tonsealama is a village that has the potential to develop an environmentally friendly organic-based agribusiness farmer group business that has maximum agribusiness products and high economic value. The livelihood of the villagers is dominated by farmers and farm laborers and only a small part is engaged in services. The development of agribusiness entrepreneurship of raw chilli bara F1 variety for women's farmer groups in Keroit village is deemed necessary to be developed, in order to utilize idle land and organic household waste products. This is also a business opportunity to increase household economic income and the welfare of women's farmer groups and their members. Based on the above, the Community Partnership Program for Women Farmers Group in Tonsealama Village was implemented. This program includes the use of agricultural technology products in the form of ULiBiCo (Unima Liquid Biofertilizer Combination) and Effective Microorganism (EM4) applications that help the decomposition process of chicken manure waste into quality organic fertilizer, and combined with the use of silver black plastic mulch technology (MPHP) and bioinsecticide-based pest control, it turns out to be able to provide good yields in the cultivation of cayenne pepper plants of the bara F-1 variety. The morphological character of the first harvest obtained is the quality of the cayenne pepper fruit, which has a sharp fruit, with a length of ± 3 cm, a diameter of ± 0.4 cm, shiny red skin, spicy taste, and can be harvested at the age of 78 - 100 days after planting (HST), the average yield of this cayenne pepper is 0.85 - 1.0 kg per plant, with a weight per fruit ranging from 0.9 - 1.8 grams and has a potential yield of 8.9 - 10 tons / ha.
