Abstract

Mathematics learning in basic education institutions is minimal in the use of learning media, and student's interest in mathematics is very low. The learning process using media is very influential in supporting students' interests and learning outcomes. This research aims to develop a Kalibataku fraction board media to increase interest and learning outcomes in mathematics learning about fractions. This research was carried out using the method of Research and Development (R&D) and using the ADDIE model. The research subjects involved were grade V students, totaling 7 students 2 experts, and 1 class teacher. The research instrument for collecting data uses questionnaires and tests. Data analysis uses ADDIE steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research results show that the media developed is suitable for use based on expert validation results. There is an increase in student interest and learning outcomes after using the developed Kalibataku fraction board media. Also received a positive response from educators who categorized the media as suitable for application in learning.

Abstract

Publikasi jurnal ilmiah nasional maupun internasional menjadi tonggak penting dalam karier akademik bagi peneliti di berbagai bidang. Publikasi jurnal ilmiah dalam dunia pendidikan memiliki peran yang sangat penting. Salah satu upaya yang bisa dilakukan sebagai pengelola jurnal yaitu peningkatan mutu jurnal ilmiah di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan melakukan program peningkatan kualitas Jurnal Biology, Medicine & Natural Product Chemistry. Penelitian diawali dengan pengumpulan dan analisis data dari wawancara, notulensi rapat, korespondensi, dan dokumen formal yang terkait jurnal Biology, Medicine & Natural Product Chemistry, serta catatan dari asesor jurnal di sepanjang perjalanan jurnal tersebut. Dari analisis tersebut ditentukan program/langkah-langkah untuk peningkatan kualitas jurnal. Paper ini membahas tentang mispersepsi dalam peningkatan mutu jurnal, hambatan dalam peningkatan kualitas, dan program-program untuk mengatasinya. Dalam paper ini dibahas juga kemungkinan-kemungkinan solusi ke depan dan tantangannya. [Publication of national and international scientific journals is an important milestone in the academic career of researchers in various fields. Publication of scientific journals in the world of education has a very important role. One of the efforts that can be done as a journal manager is to improve the quality of scientific journals in Indonesia. This study aims to design and implement a program to improve the quality of the Biology, Medicine & Natural Product Chemistry Journal. The study began with the collection and analysis of data from interviews, meeting minutes, correspondence, and formal documents related to the Biology, Medicine & Natural Product Chemistry journal, as well as notes from journal assessors throughout the journal's journey. From this analysis, programs/steps are determined to improve the quality of the journal. This paper discusses misperceptions in improving journal quality, obstacles to improving quality, and programs to overcome them. This paper also discusses possible future solutions and challenges.]

Abstract

Perkembangan kognitif merupakan aspek yang penting dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir anak, salah satunya yaitu mengenal konsep lambang bilangan dan kemampuan berhitung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan mengenal konsep lambang bilangan 1 – 10 dan kemampuan berhitung melalui permainan tradisional congklak pada anak usia 5 - 6 tahun. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode Literature Review. Metode Literature Review ini dapat mengakses berbagai sumber, termasuk buku, internet, dokumen, dan situs web yang memiliki reputasi baik. Hasil penelitian bahwa permainan tradisional congklak terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal konsep bilangan pada anak. Aktivitas bermain congklak melibatkan penghitungan jumlah biji congklak yang harus dipindahkan dari satu lubang ke lubang lainnya, sehingga secara langsung melatih anak untuk memahami konsep bilangan secara konkret. Selain itu, permainan ini memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dan kontekstual, sehingga anak lebih mudah memahami hubungan antara angka dan jumlah secara intuitif. Selain membantu mengenal konsep bilangan, permainan congklak juga berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung anak. Proses permainan melibatkan operasi penjumlahan, pengurangan, dan penghitungan langkah secara bertahap. Aktivitas ini secara tidak langsung melatih anak untuk berpikir logis dan melakukan perhitungan secara mandiri.

Abstract

Lack of social attitudes that students have will have an impact on students' unfavorable affective. This research aimed to analyze the role of teachers in developing students' social attitudes. This research was a qualitative research with a theoretical approach. The population in this study was all students of grade V at SD 2 Tenggeles, totaling 19 students. The data collection technique was carried out in 3 stages, namely observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used a variety of techniques (triangulation) and was carried out continuously to completion. The results of the analysis of students' social attitudes during the learning process found the findings of several aspects of social attitudes in students including honesty, discipline, responsibility, caring, polite and self-confidence. Social attitudes are observed through student activities in learning such as being honest in doing assignments independently and being responsible for assignments that have been given by the teacher which must be done in a timely manner. It can be concluded that the social attitude of students at SD 2 Tenggeles is fairly good. Thus, the role of the teacher in shaping students' social attitudes is very important to be applied in the daily life of students in the school, family, and community environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan penyesuaian mahasiswa magister Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI) dalam field study pada mata kuliah Islam dan Ilmu Sosial Humaniora. Field study menjadi bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan teori dan praktik, namun mahasiswa sering kali menghadapi berbagai hambatan di lapangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama yang dihadapi mahasiswa meliputi kesenjangan antara teori yang diajarkan dengan kondisi lapangan, faktor sosial dan budaya, serta kurangnya kesiapan mahasiswa S1 dan pengalaman mahasiswa dalam berinteraksi dengan masyarakat setempat. Selain itu, faktor personal seperti manajemen waktu dan adaptasi terhadap lingkungan sosial turut memengaruhi proses penyesuaian. Studi ini menyarankan perlunya penguatan kesiapan mahasiswa melalui pelatihan berbasis keterampilan sosial, penyesuaian kurikulum dengan kebutuhan lapangan, dan dukungan supervisi yang berkelanjutan. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi pengelola program magister PGMI untuk meningkatkan efektivitas field study dalam mengembangkan kompetensi mahasiswa.

Abstract

This Study evaluated mental workload of Rapid Response Team ((RRT) Regional Disaster Management Agency in Special Region of Yogyakarta as funeral team along COVID-19 pandemic. Mental workload is formed due to differences between individual abilities and performance demands of a task within a certain time. NASA TLX is the most widely used mental workload measurement, capable of being used in several levels of workload and sensitive to low workloads. The Rapid Response Team is a team to ensure that the disaster management process carried out quickly, accurately, skilled personnel to back up the medical team who continue to work hard so that the handling of the pandemic virus is better, and the virus does not spread. In this study, the subject of research is the funeral team of Rapid Response Team ((RRT) Regional Disaster Management Agency in Special Region of Yogyakarta Indonesia. Sampling data was collected online and offline using the Goggle Form in the range March-April 2021. There are 28 team members of the RRT who filled out the questionnaire. Workload assessment using the NASA-TLX and OWL methods falls within the range of medium (45.58458; 0.610535), high (74.73789; 0.739889), and very high (87.7969; 0.879976), with an average workload value of high (75.9935; 0.748672). Based on statistical tests using paired t-tests and one-way ANOVA, both methods are declared to be equivalent. The dimension that predominantly contributes to workload according to the NASA TLX method is Effort, followed by Mental Demands. Meanwhile, the factor that predominantly forms the workload according to the OWL method is S2 (Environmental Workloads, sub-factors: improper temperature, chemical exposure), followed by S3 (Body Motion and Postural Workloads, sub-factors: stooping, standing). The research findings offer manual guidance for workload identification, particularly utilizing OWL, serving as the foundation for workload assessment for teams involved in COVID-19, particularly in Indonesia. Additionally, this study also demonstrates that the OWL method possesses the same level of reliability as the NASA-TLX method.

Abstract

The Role of Technology in Enhancing Students' Digital Literacy. Objective: To ascertain the function of technology integration in augmenting digital literacy proficiency and to explore the mediating influence of heutagogy in elucidating the correlation between technology integration and digital literacy. Methods: A quantitative method was utilized to examine data from student responders in the "Islamic Religious Education" curriculum at five campuses in Yogyakarta. Data was gathered using internet surveys. The PLS-SEM model was employed to examine direct and mediated effects, as well as multigroup analysis to investigate any discrepancies in test outcomes. Findings: The inclusion of technology does not immediately influence students' digital literacy. Heutagogy effectively facilitates the impact of technology integration on enhancing digital literacy. The incorporation of technology intended to improve digital literacy among final-year students exhibits a detrimental effect, which can be mitigated through heutagogical intervention. Conclusion: The findings corroborate prior research emphasizing the significance of policy context, culture, and student demographics as determinants affecting the efficacy of technology integration in enhancing digital literacy. Keywords: digital literacy, heutagogy, higher education, learning, islamic religious education, technology integration.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v14.i3.2024116

Abstract

Pembelajaran fisika pada abad ke-21 perlu dikembangkan secara kontekstual agar relevan dengan permasalahan nyata di lingkungan peserta didik. Namun, pemanfaatan kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran fisika, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan arsitektur rumah Joglo pada materi pemanasan global, masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan booklet fisika berbasis kearifan lokal arsitektur rumah Joglo pada materi pemanasan global serta mengetahui kelayakan dan respon peserta didik terhadap produk yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model 4D yang dibatasi sampai tahap develop melalui uji coba terbatas. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, validasi ahli, serta angket respon peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi produk, guru fisika, serta angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa booklet yang dikembangkan memperoleh kategori sangat baik berdasarkan penilaian ahli dan guru fisika, serta mendapatkan respon setuju dari peserta didik pada uji coba terbatas. Dengan demikian, booklet fisika berbasis kearifan lokal arsitektur rumah Joglo pada materi pemanasan global dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar alternatif dalam pembelajaran fisika di SMA/MA.

Abstract

Abstrak: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Guide Inquiry dan Problem Based Learning terhadap peningkatan  berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di Gugus Wijayakusuma. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan kuantiatif, dengan jenis quasy eksperimen. Variabel x1 adalah model pembelajaran guide inquiry dan variabel X2 adalah model problem solving problem dan variabel Y adalah kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa kelas V di Sekolah dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan pengamatan. Adapuan analisis data menggunakan teknik uji homogenitas, uji normalitas, uji independen sampel t test. Hasil penelitian (1) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran guide Inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran IPA materi panas dan perpindahannya berdasarkan hasil uji independen sampel t-test dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai t-hitung 3,389 > t-tabel 1,697, (2) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learningterhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V Pada mata pelajaran IPA materi panas dan perpindahannya berdasarkan hasil uji independen sampel t-test dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai t-hitung 3,389 > t-tabel 1,697, (3) terdapat perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran guide inquirydan problem based learningdan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V berdasarkan hasil uji independen sampel t-test dengan nilai means pada kelas eksperimen 1 adalah 72,64  dan kelas eksperimen 2 adalah 77,56. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran pembelajaran problem based learning lebih unggul digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA dalam meningkatkan berfikir kritis siswa di kelas V sekolah dasar.Kata Kunci: guide inquiry problem based learning, kemampuan berfikir kritis

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to (1) Describe the parents' perceptions of the implementation of learning from home by students, (2) To analyze the role of parents in learning assistance for students, (3)  To analyze the factors that support and hinder parents in learning assistance for fifth-grade students of SDN Tegalarum 1 during the Covid-19 pandemic.Supporting factors for learning assistance by parents for learning from home: (1) the use of WhatsApp as a communication medium and a learning medium (2) The role of schools in providing guidance and consultation services for students and parents. As for the obstacles faced by parents during learning assistance at home: (1) cellphones are often brought to work while children at home do not have cell phones; (2) some parents don't have Android phones; (3) Many parents find it difficult about learning materials when accompanying children to learn; (3) additional internet quota fees; and (4) additional work for parents in accompanying children to learn.
