Abstract

Arthritis Gout is a metabolic disease characterized by deposition of urate in the joints ofarthritis that was painful. One of the factors that can affect is the food consumed and therisk increases in women after menopause. The aim of research to determine therelationship of diet with high levels of uric acid in postmenopausal women who suffer fromgout arthritis in Tikala Baru health center.Sort of observational research using crosssectional design. Primary data was collected through interviews and observation usingquestionnaires, secondary data taken from health centers. Of the 39 respondents oftenconsume types of foods containing purine source'm ie chicken, fish, spinach, tempe, tofu,spinach and beans. Frequency of purine food source for the highest weekly thatconsumes 3x per week in which there were 14 (35.9%). Protein intake more there were34 people (87.2%) and purine intake were 5 people (12.8%). There is a significantrelationship between the frequency of consuming food containing sources of purinesbeing per week with uric acid levels (ρ <0:01) in postmenopausal women at healthcenters Tikala Baru Manado and there was no correlation between the characteristics ofthe study subjects (intake of protein, and purine) with uric acid levels

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a collection of symptoms in a person due to impaired body incontrolling blood sugar levels. Number of patients with diabetes mellitus from 8.4 millionin 2004 to about 21.3 million in 2030. This was due to the intake of food that has been inexcess of the needs, especially the intake of carbohydrates and fats. The study aims todetermine the intake of carbohydrates and fats consumed by people with diabetesmellitus (diabetes). This type of research is descriptive. This study was conducted in Mays/d June 2015. Sampling using consecutive sampling with a sample of 30 people.Carbohydrate and fat intake data was obtained using a 24 hour recall form. Examinationof blood sugar levels is done by using the blood sugar measuring device Autochek. Thedata is processed carbohydrate and fat intake using nutry survey and analyzed innarrative form. The results showed that carbohydrate intake of 30 samples averaged 164grams per day with less intake category as much as 93%, more intake category as muchas 7%. While fat intake of 30 samples averaged 42.9 grams per day with less intakecategory and more each as much as 50%. On average the eating habits of people withdiabetes do not consume enough carbohydrates but high in fat

Abstract

The main risk factors that lead to the occurrence of non-communicable diseases arehypertension, high blood glucose, obesity and abnormal blood fats. The prevalence ofmetabolic syndrome adult population ≥15 years in the province of North Sulawesi of 28%,exceeding the national prevalence rate of 18.8%, the lowest in Bolaang Mongondow16.6% and the highest at 36.2% Tomohon.The research objective is to make religious leaders as promoters of nutrition programmedin delivering nutrition promotion related dietary risk factors which increased the risk ofmetabolic syndrome through education and counseling efforts. Benefits of the research isto increase the level of acceptance, community participation and increasing the role ofreligious leaders in the effort to control the risk factors for metabolic syndrome throughpromotion of nutrition and health implications for disease.This type of research is the study design quasy Experiment Preeksperiment using preand post test one group design. A sample size of 40 people, the sampling technique isbased on systematic random sampling.The conclusion of this study is special maid church can be used as a promoter of nutritionin delivering nutrition promotion related metabolic syndrome risk factor control.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is a baby receiving only direct breastfeeding from biological mother, breast milk or dairy milk until the baby is 6 months old. Non-exclusive breastfeeding is not only breastfed babies but also get other foods other than breastmilk like formula milk. North Sulawesi Province exclusive ASI coverage in 2014 amounted to 38.5% decreased 2015 only 26.3%. The purpose of this research was to know the nutritional status of 4 - 6 months old baby who got exclusive breastfeeding and non exclusive breast milk. The type of research used is descriptive research. The study was conducted for 1 week from 30 May to 6 June 2017 at the Kolongan Community Health Center, Kalawat District, North Minahasa Regency The sample of the study was 4 - 6 months old baby with total sample of 53 babies. Research respondents were infant mothers. The sampling method uses accidental sampling. Data obtained through interviews and direct measurement of nutritional status (BB / U) using baby scales (baby scale). The result of the research is the number of baby samples 4 - 6 months as many as 53 babies. Exclusive breastfeeding of 16 infants. non exclusive breastfeeding of 37 babies, divided into infant formula, breast milk and formula mixture 17 infants. Nutritional status of infants 4 - 6 months total of 53 babies, malnutrition less 4 babies (7.5%), good nutrition 32 babies (60,5%), and 17 more infants (32%).

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) notes that the world's population suffering from hypertension is among those in low- and middle-income developing countries. Indonesia is in a row of 10 countries with the highest prevalence of hypertension in the world. This study aims to determine the level of nutritional knowledge, consumption of fruits and vegetables, and nutritional status of hypertensive patients in the work area of ​​Ranomuut Puskesmas Manado. The type of this research is analytical descriptive with crossectional design. With an average rating of 125 people / month. The samples taken were 42 patients with hypertension. The instrument used in this study is a nutritional knowledge questionnaire, Form Spring Food Frequency Questioner (FFQ). Digital tension meter, scales and Mikrotoa. Data analysis using Fisher Exact Test to know relation of independent and bound variable. The results of this study indicate that there are 14.2% of people with good nutritional knowledge and 42.9% moderate knowledge level and 42.9% less nutritional knowledge level. And there are 52.4% of people who consume good fruit and most there is 61.9% of people less vegetable consumption. And most hypertensive patients have obesity nutritional status. There was no significant relationship between nutritional knowledge level and nutritional status (p = 0.115). There was a significant relationship between vegetable consumption and nutritional status (p = 0.039). There was a significant relationship between fruit consumption and nutritional status (p = 0.049).

Abstract

Obest or obesity is the term used to show the accumulation of body fat that exceeds the normal limit. Excessive accumulation of body fat can often seem reluctant easily. People who are overweight are more receptive than normal weight people to external hunger cues, such as food taste and smell, or time to eat. Fat people tend to eat if they feel like eating, not eating when they are hungry. The type of research used was analytic observational research with cross sectional design. The population in this study were all students at Tomohon Christian High School 1 which was 1063 students. The sample was calculated in Slovak with a total of 43 students. Primary data is data about diet and the level of nutritional knowledge collected directly during the research. In this study most have a moderate level of knowledge with a total of 20 people (46.5%), a good level of knowledge of 20 people (32.6%), and less knowledge level of 9 people (20.9%).The results of the analysis using statistical test fisherexacttest with a value of p <0.05, which means there is a significant relationship between intake of levels of nutritional knowledge with obesity.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a group of chronic disease which is characterized by increased levels of glucose in the blood due to disorders of the body's metabolism system, in which the pancreas organ incapable of producing the hormone insulin according to needs of the body. Nutritional counselling with quality local food based diit can help control blood glucose levels. This research aims to identify the difference in blood glucose levels and the value of quality diit type II diabetes mellitus patients before and after given nutritional counseling with quality local food based diit. This type of research is Pre Experimental research using one group pretest-posttest design. The number of samples is determined by purposive sampling counted 31 people. Data analysis using Wilcoxon and T-test analysis. The Wilcoxon analysis with significance level of 95% can be seen to produce significant difference in pre-post glycemic index component with p=0,000 (p<0,05) and diversity of pre-post food with p=0,002 (p<0,05). In the result of T-test for pre-post blood glucose variable, there was no significant difference p=0,105 (p>0,05). However, there was a range of decreased glucose levels before and after in 22 respondents with an average decrease of 11.42 mg/dL. Conclusion there was no difference of blood glucose level before and after nutrition counseling with quality of diet based on local food.

Abstract

Nutrition is an important part of growth and development, because there is a connection and is related to health and intelligence, malnutrition. Stunting is a linear growth disorder that can affect the increased risk of illness, death, and impaired late motor development, and stunted mental growth. The type of this research is analytic observational with cross sectional study approach. The population in this study were all children under five in the work area of Kawangkoan Health Center in Minahasa Regency. Children under five 2-5 years. The respondent is mother. The number of samples of this study amounted to 41 people with a sampling technique that is using simple random sampling technique. The results of research on the level of maternal knowledge of 41 respondents were 39.0% who lacked knowledge, and 41.5% had sufficient knowledge, while 19.5% had good knowledge. the rate of exclusive breastfeeding is 41.5% which is less than exclusive breastfeeding, while 39.0% is good, 19.5% is enough to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Toddler respondents who have normal height category are 46%, and category is very short, 31.7%, while the short category is 22.0%. kawangkoan health center.

Abstract

Obesity is a problem worldwide because of its increasing prevalence in adults and adolescents. Riskesdas results showed an increase in the prevalence of over nutrition in children aged 16-18 years, for the fat category from 1.4% in 2010 to 7.3% consisting of 5.7% fat and 1.6% obesity in 2013. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of nutritional knowledge and eating patterns with the incidence of obesity in students of Biaro 1 Vocational School. This research is an analytic observational descriptive study with cross sectional design, with a sample of 36 people who met the inclusion criteria. Data was collected through interviews using nutritional knowledge questionnaires and semi-FFQ forms to determine dietary patterns, and measurements of abdominal circumference for obesity data. Univariate analysis was performed descriptively and the bivariate analysis used was the correlation test with Kendall's tau-b with a value of α = 0.05. The results of this study showed that the level of nutritional knowledge of 36 respondents was mostly lacking at 50.0%, the respondents' eating patterns were mostly not good at 80.6%, and obesity status with an average abdominal circumference size of 80-85 cm was 55.7%. Statistical test results show that there is a relationship between the level of nutritional knowledge and eating patterns with the incidence of obesity in students of State Vocational School 1 Biaro (p <0.05).
