Abstract

Self-efficacy has an important role to strengthen one's belief in completing assignment. This research focused on lack of self-efficacy in primary school students. The purpose of this research is to describe the potentials and urgency of self-efficacy seen from the perspective of students’ self-abilities and interests in the fifth grade of primary schools. The subjects of this research were 108 students and 14 teachers in primary schools in Seyegan Sub-district, Sleman, Yogyakarta, which implemented the 2013 Curriculum. The object of this research was response self-efficacy. Moreover, a descriptive quantitative approach was adopted as the research method. The instruments of this research were a questionnaire and an open interview guidelines Data collection technique used a non-test method using questionnaire and an open interview guidelines. The findings revealed that: [1] students in the fifth grade of primary schools had started to show self-efficacy; [2] students were able to value themselves; [3] self-efficacy could develop into potential characters. Self-efficacy of students was able to be developed starting from primary schools.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the need for reflective modules in building literacy skills of primary school students. The research used a quantitative descriptive method. The population was the fifth-grade primary school students that implement the 2013 curriculum with A accreditation—the data collection technique used non-test with observation instruments, questionnaires, interview guidelines, and literature review. The sample was taken using a purposive random sampling technique. The sample in this study was 126 students. The results showed that students and teachers need a reflective module to build numeracy literacy. The reflective module has the potential to build numeracy literacy skills. Literacy skill is closely related to reflective thinking processes, in which reflective thinking is a critical thinking process for making an assessment. Self-assessment aims to measure the extent of an individual's abilities to encourage the individual to develop self-potential.

Abstract

Literacy activities in Indonesia are intensively developed to form literate citizens. Literacy is defined as a basic ability to develop individual potential in achieving goals. One of the literacies developed is numeracy literacy, which was coined in 2017. Numerical literacy is a branch of mathematical literacy. This ability guides individuals to recognize the role of numeracy competencies in everyday life. The knowledge of numeracy literacy is an urgent need for students. The student at least has received numeracy literacy development. This study aims to describe numeracy literacy in the field and compare numeracy literacy targets with reality in the area. The research method is descriptive quantitative. The data collection technique used a test with a research instrument of numeracy literacy skills and used non-test data, namely observation, and open interview guidelines. The research findings show that the students' numeracy literacy skills are still in the poor category. Numeracy literacy has not been developed in the implementation of the Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS). Basic literacy activities have not been implemented properly.

Abstract

Peserta didik sebagai kegiatan inti dalam pendidikan. Apabila tidak ada peserta didik maka tidak ada kegiatan pendidikan. Pada era persaingan sekarang ini peserta didik sebagai unsur utama yang harus di kelola dengan baik. Penurunan jumlah peserta didik akan berdampak pada keberlanjutan suatu sekolah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni menganalisis kemerosotan jumlah peserta didik di sekolah dasar negeri melalui analisis SWOT. Data dikumpulkan studi literature dan wawancara. Metode analisis data yang digunakan analisis SWOT meliputi kekuatan (strength), kelemahan (weakness), peluang (opportunities), dan ancaman (threats). Berdasarkan analisis SWOT, maka kemerosotan jumlah peserta didik sekolah dasar negeri di Kabupaten Magelang harus segera ditangani. Jika dibiarkan maka minat masyarakat terhadap sekolah dasar negeri semakin menurun yang mengakibatkan terjadinya regrouping sekolah. Hal ini mendorong sekolah untuk melakukan strategi peningkatan jumlah peserta didik melalui berbagai kebijakan seperti program sosialisasi PPDB, program beasiswa, program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, program pelatihan guru professional dan program kelompok kerja guru.

Abstract

Mathematics is the study of interconnected values and concepts. This study is motivated by the problems of students in learning mathematics unit length conversion material class IV MI Islamiyah, learning unit length conversion material unsatisfactory learning outcomes due to lack of learning media that can attract students' attention. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes using the demonstration method through rule conversion media in the material of converting units of length in class IV MI Islamiyah. This research is a Classroom Action Research consisting of 2 cycles. The research subjects were grade IV MI Islamiyah students totaling 15 students. This research data use formative tests and observation sheets. The analysis technique used is the quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results showed an increase in observation of teacher activeness from cycle I to cycle II by 65% and 92% (an increase of 27%) and observation of student activeness by 46% and 89% (an increase of 27%). 43%), and the average student score was 71 (46%) to 81 (80%). Based on these results, it can be seen that the use of rule conversion media can improve the test scores of grade IV MI Islamiyah students on the material of length unit conversion.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve or help students in mastering the understanding of fractional numbers, especially in addition and subtraction of fractional numbers through a cooperative model, namely the Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) type. This research is a form of classroom action research with two cycles. The participants or research subjects were our grade V students of SD 95 Pekanbaru which amounted to 33 children. The data collection techniques are observation, interview, documentation, and test. The results of the data analysis were that there were only 14 students or equivalent to 42.43% of students who reached the KKM limit in the initial condition before the research was carried out which was then able to change in cycles 1 to 19 students or around 57.57% which then also rose to 23 students or equivalent to 69.7%. From this description, it can be concluded that the use of the RTE type is able to help students understand and even improve their understanding of the addition and subtraction of fractions. The observation results also illustrate that students' cooperation attitude and responsibility attitudes changed for the better as solid teamwork in the rotation occurred in accordance with the RTE-type learning steps.

Abstract

Riset ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif metode belajar blended learning untuk pembelajaran tematik dalam meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa. Hasil observasi pembelajaran pada prasiklus siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar secara mandiri karena kurangnya motivasi dari guru dan kebingungan dalam memahami dan mencari referensi materi pelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan variabel blended learning untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar. Dari pelaksanaan tindakan siklus II diketahui adanya peningkatan kemandirian belajar melalui pendekatan Blended Learning dapat dilihat dari (1) Kriteria kemandirian belajar yaitu Skor rata-rata aspek percaya diri 81,43; aspek disiplin 81,07 ; aspek inisiatif 79,64 ; dan aspek tanggung jawab 82,14. Skor rata- rata setiap aspek sudah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal yaitu 75. (2) dimana nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari siklus I (sebelum tindakan) yaitu 62,14 dan pada siklus II adalah 77, 14. (3) Ketuntasan belajar juga meningkat dari siklus I yaitu 42,86% menjadi 85,71% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian pembelajaran tematik dengan pendekatan blended learningdikatakan berhasil. adapun kelebihan dan kelemahan pembelajaran blended learning, kelebihan pendekatan ini diantaranya siswa lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran, pembelajaran lebih bervariasi dan menarik dengan berbagai platform pendukung pembelajaran, dan kemandirian belajar siswa meningkat. Sedangkan kelemahannya seperti apabila guru tidak meguasai platform prndukung pembelajaran maka tidak akan tercapai tujuan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan karakter rasa ingin tahu menggunakan modul reflektif berbasis ramah anak untuk siswa kelas V SD. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Prosedur penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi atau pengamatan dan refleksi. Variabel penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah karakter rasa ingin tahu, sedangkan variabel tindakan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan modul reflektif berbasis ramah anak. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Tegalrejo 1 Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan observasi. Validitas data yang digunakan adalah validasi isi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif, analisis deskriptif dan uji standar gain. Nilai rerata saat pretest adalah 78,5 sedangkan setelah menggunakan modul reflektif berbasis ramah anak nilai rerata meningkat menjadi 87,33. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan modul reflektif berbasis ramah anak dapat meningkatkan karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa kelas V SD.

Abstract

Abstract The learning process of elementary school students (SD) can be carried out using folklore. However, the folklore used for learning is not adapted to the characteristics of elementary school students. Folklore with content of violence, war, robbery, theft and so on is not appropriate to be a material for student learning. The role of the teacher is needed, to be careful in choosing the appropriate folk tales for their students. Teachers must innovate and modify folklore into teaching materials that suit the characteristics of students. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research related to folklore that is appropriate for elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the themes of folklore for learning in elementary schools. The method used is descriptive analytic. The data source is the Bengkulu 2 folklore book by Naim Emel Prahana. The research succeeded in finding the themes of Bengkulu folklore. The themes are about patience, wisdom, intelligence, steadfastness, self-sacrifice, guarding the tongue, respecting others and mutual cooperation. Based on the results of the research found, it can be concluded that there are five stories of Bengkulu folklore that are suitable for learning and three stories that are not suitable for learning elementary school students. Keywords: Character; Folklore; Theme Abstrak Proses pembelajaran siswa sekolah dasar (SD) dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan cerita rakyat. Namun, cerita rakyat yang digunakan untuk pembelajaran kurang disesuaikan dengan karakteritik siswa SD. Cerita rakyat dengan konten kekerasan, peperangan, perampokan, pencurian dan sebagainya tidak tepat untuk menjadi bahan pembelajaran siswa. Peran guru sangat dibutuhkan, untuk berhati-hati dalam memilih cerita rakyat yang sesuai untuk siswanya. Guru harus berinovasi dan memodifikasi cerita rakyat menjadi bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian terkait cerita rakyat yang tepat untuk siswa SD. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis tema-tema cerita rakyat untuk pembelajaran di SD. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif analitik. Sumber data buku cerita rakyat Bengkulu 2 karya Naim Emel Prahana. Penelitian berhasil menemukan tema-tema cerita rakyat Bengkulu. Adapun temanya tentang kesabaran, kebijaksanaan, kecerdasan, sikap tabah, rela berkorban, menjaga lisan, menghormati orang lain dan gotong-royong. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang ditemukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa cerita rakyat Bengkulu terdapat lima cerita yang sesuai untuk pembelajaran dan tiga cerita yang kurang sesuai untuk pembelajaran siswa SD.

Abstract

Learning independence is one of the essential things in the learning process. The demand for independent learning is enormous in the learning process at school, especially in mathematics. If responded to appropriately, these demands can help future students' psychological development. The purpose of this study was to measure the content validity of the mathematics learning independence scale to obtain instruments that are right on target. This study uses a type of quantitative research. A sample of one hundred and twenty-six students was obtained from public elementary schools in Tlogowungu District, Pati Regency. Data analysis uses the equation CVR (Content Validity Ratio), CVI (Content Validity Index), and CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis). The results showed that 26 of 30 items were declared valid and had a CVI value of 0.911. In contrast, for CFA, the relationship for the three indicators of learning independence was relatively high,> 0.5. This indicates that the three indicators are related; they can both measure the learning independence variable. So, the three indicators can measure learning independence variables well.
