Abstract

Interaksi antarindividu dalam aktivitas sosial dan ekonomi membutuhkan transportasi. Transportasi merupakan salah satu sektor yang penting di kota. Pembukaan jalur-jalur transportasi darat baik kereta api, trem, maupun pengangkutan di jalan raya menjadi semakin dibutuhkan. Oleh karena itu, permasalahan yang dikaji adalah bagaimana kondisi jaringan transportasi darat (kereta trem, kendaraan bermotor, dan kendaraan tradisional) di Surabaya tahun 1900-1942. Metode sejarah digunakan untuk melakukan penelitian dengan tahapan heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan penulisan. Sumber-sumber yang digunakan merupakan sumber sezaman barupa arsip maupun berita di media massa sezaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem transportasi darat di Kota Surabaya masa kolonial akhir telah tertata dengan baik dan mengikuti alur sistem yang ada di Belanda. Faktor-faktor pendorong dalam perkembangan dan kemajuan transportasi di Surabaya didukung oleh setidaknya kebijakan umum pemerintah kolonial dalam mengelola arus mobilitas manusia dan angkutan komoditas barang. Perkembangan moda dan jenis transportasi berpengaruh terhadap semakin cepatnya perpindahan manusia dan barang di kota. Berbagai fenomena tersebut membuktikan bahwa Surabaya sebagai pusat aktivitas di Jawa Timur memerlukan jaringan transportasi yang efektif dan teratur.

Abstract

The past is present today through cultural heritage (historical heritage sites), but some ordinary people do not know the importance of the value of these objects, as evidenced by the trade in fragments of artifacts. This action is driven by economic motives and has no knowledge of historical objects. The main problem is how to build knowledge and awareness of historical heritage objects? The answer to this problem can be the elements used as initial capital to develop village tourism. The main value of the development of village tourism is the creation of public spaces where people can relax and gather at leisure. The development of village tourism should not be driven by economic motives that are often echoed by various parties. The methods used to elaborate are observation, in-depth interviews to find collective memory, and counseling or workshops. The findings obtained from observations, interviews, and literature studies are the use of historical sites as a destination for village tourism must be supported by the prerequisites for development, namely the knowledge of local communities on the site will foster awareness of historical heritage, uniformity of perception about the function of the site not for religious purposes, and participation community in site preservation.abstrakMasa lalu adalah masa kini yang hadir melalui warisan budaya (situs peninggalan sejarah), tetapi sebagian masyarakat awam tidak mengetahui pentingnya nilai benda-benda ini, terbukti dari adanya perdagangan serpihan artefak. Tindakan ini didorong oleh motif ekonomi dan tidak memiliki pengetahuan pada benda-benda sejarah. Pokok permasalahan adalah bagaimana upaya membangun pengetahuan dan kesadaran pada benda-benda peninggalan sejarah? Jawaban persoalan ini dapat menjadi unsur-unsur yang digunakan sebagai modal awal mengembangkan wisata desa. Nilai pokok pengembangan wisata desa adalah penciptaan ruang publik tempat bersantai dan berkumpul bagi anggota masyarakat setempat pada waktu senggang. Pengembangan wisata desa tidak harus didorong oleh motif ekonomi yang seringkali digaungkan oleh berbagai pihak. Metode yang digunakan untuk menguraikan adalah observasi, wawancara mendalam untuk menemukan memori kolektif, dan penyuluhan atau workshop. Temuan yang diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur adalah pemanfaatan situs sejarah sebagai destiasi wisata desa harus didukung oleh prasyarat pengembangan, yakni pengetahuan masyarakat lokal pada situs akan menumbuhkan kesadaran pada peninggalan sejarah, penyeragaman persepsi mengenai fungsi situs bukan untuk kepentingan religi, dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pelestarian situs.

Abstract

Candisari Village is one of the villages in Sambeng Lamongan District. Candisari village has the potential for the development of tourism with historical branding. The village has a collective memory of the community which, if recorded and retold, will be interesting for educational materials, culinary tourism, forest land in some parts can be developed into an outbound arena, as well as other community activities ie, having a typical papaya production called calina, a sugar cane processing factory brown sugar, and one of the KKN BBM programs that started with the planting of oyster mushrooms and hydproponic vegetables. The various potentials are at least a capital for Candisari Village in arranging it as a Tourism Village. While the main problem in the development of Candisari tourism village at present is the absence of branding and the lack of facilities or publications to introduce it to the community. The purpose of this activity is to improve and develop the potential of Candisari tourism villages to be more productive and bring economic benefits to the village community. The solution used is making brands and making marketing publications through websites and social media. At the end of the activity, the Candisari tourism village community experienced an increase in the quality of life, one of which was the village's potential and tourism.abstrakDesa Candisari merupakan salah satu desa yang terdapat di Kecamatan Sambeng Lamongan. Desa Candisari memiliki potensi untuk pengembangan wisata dengan branding sejarah. Desa memiliki memori kolektif masyarakat yang kalau dibukukan dan diceritakan ulang akan menarik untuk bahan edukasi, wisata kuliner, lahan hutan yang dibeberapa bagian bisa dikembangkan menjadi arena outbond, serta aktifitas masyarakat lainnya yakni, memiliki produksi khas buah pepaya yang disebut calina, pabrik pengolahan tebu menjadi gula merah, dan salah satu program KKN BBM yang mengawali dengan penanaman jamur tiram dan sayur hidproponik. Berbagai potensi tersebut setidaknya menjadi modal bagi Desa Candisari dalam menata sebagai Desa Wisata.Sedangkan persoalan utama dalam pengembangan desa wisata Candisari saat ini adalah masih belum adanya branding dan belum adanya sarana atau publikasi untuk mengenalkan pada masyarakat. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan dan mengembangkan potensi desa wisata Candisari agar lebih produktif dan mendatangkan keuntungan secara ekonomi bagi masyarakat desa. Solusi yang digunakan adalah pembuatan brand dan pembuatan publikasi pemasaran melalui website dan media sosial. Pada akhir kegiatan, masyarakat desa wisata Candisari mengalami peningkatan kualitas hidup salah satunya dengan keberadaan potensi dan wisata desa.

Abstract

Abstract This paper examines the biography of Kyai Achjat Irsjad during his leadership in initiating and directing the NU Blambangan in 1944-1963. Kyai Achjat Irsjad's decision to establish the NU Blambangan was intended for the development of NU in the southern Banyuwangi. This study specifically writes about the arena of character, spiritual, and intellectual forging of Kyai Achjat Irsjad within the family, Islamic boarding schools and NU organizations. From the forging arena, Kyai Achjat Irsjad played a progressive role as a social, political and religious activist in Banyuwangi. The method used in this research is the Historical Method. The research data obtained from the Pegon Community, the memories of Kyai Achjat Irsjad's children, as well as supporting data in the form of scientific works. The results of the study found that Kyai Achjat Irsjad played an important role, some of which were in increasing access to education, performing the first edition of the Qur'an at the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, and strengthening the existence and influence of NU in southern Banyuwangi in the community.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the development of advertising from year to year on the Staatsspoorwegen (SS) Eendaagsche Expres train service. Apart from that, it will also explain SS's efforts to operate the Eendaagsche Expres train. An explanation of the operational and advertising developments of Eendaagsche Expres can be achieved using historical research methods, including: heuristics or collections of written sources in the form of archives and images; source verification; interpretation; and historiography or historical writing. By using this method, the results were obtained that at the end of the 1920s to the beginning of the 1940s there was a trend in the use of advertising designs that was different from before. Like there is a visualization of ornaments or a picture of a train. Then there is also the evolution of the elements in the advertisement itself. The advertising analysis used in this research focuses on the development of headlines, body copy and slogans. The development of advertising design also occurred in the Eendaagsche Expres advertising publication, which experienced rapid development until the end of its operational period in 1942.

Abstract

The Ijuk Nganten tradition is a form of intangible cultural heritage that continues to be preserved by the people of Sraturejo Village, Baureno District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java. This ritual involves the symbolic cleansing of newlywed couples by washing their hands, faces, and feet at the sacred site known as Sumur Nganten (Bridal Well), followed by prayers for blessings, fertility, and household harmony. Although performed in a simple manner, the ritual holds deep cultural and spiritual meaning, rooted in local oral traditions and communal belief systems. This study employs the historical method, beginning with heuristic investigation through data collection from local oral sources—including village elders and cultural custodians—as well as limited written documents and popular media. The gathered sources were then subjected to source criticism, interpretative analysis, and synthesized through historiographical construction to explore the socio-cultural and historical functions of the ritual. The findings suggest that Ijuk Nganten originated from a collective memory involving the legendary figure Akuwu Lembu Amisena and his consort Nyi Lebdasari, who underwent ritual purification at the site after reclaiming political authority during the Singhasari–Majapahit era. Today, the tradition serves not only a spiritual purpose but also reinforces environmental ethics, ancestral veneration, and communal identity. It remains a vital cultural expression, consistently practiced even by residents who have migrated outside the region, demonstrating its enduring significance amid social transformation.
