Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describing the development of quiz game learning media for Javanese script reading skills in fifth grade students of Mangkubumen Kidul elementary shool, Laweyan District, Surakarta. This research is a called RnD (research and development) and get to the stage of development. The research subjects were in fifth grade students of Mangkubumen Kidul elementary school, totaling 8 students. Sources of data come from students and teachers. Data collection techniques using interviews and document analysis. Validation techniques are carried out by material expert, media expert, and practitioner expert. The results of this product was in the good category with the precentage the material expert of 88,54%, the media expert of 98,75, and the practitioner expert of 85,22%. The process of creating learning media using Construct2 to build the program and Adobe Photoshop CS6 and CorelDRAW X5 to make a graphic design. The final result of this research is a product quiz game learning media for Javanese script reading skills that can be access on the device or smartphone.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of motivation to learn Civics in online learning material relationship symbols with meaning sila Pancasila on the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Tegalrejo No.98 Surakarta. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection in this study using a questionnaire, interview of teachers and learners, as well as the observation of teachers and learners. Data analysis in this research using data analysis Miles, Huberman and Saldaña. Data analysis includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study prove that the learning motivation of students of class IV SD Negeri Tegalrejo No.98 Surakarta, categorized into three categories. Category learning motivation high by 16.7%, medium category of 77,8%, and the low category of 5.5%. Motivational aspects of learning that are considered to determine the level of motivation of students learning is an aspect of the ARCS-V (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction, and Volition). The conclusion of this research, it was found that the level of learning motivation of students of class IV SD Negeri Tegalrejo No.98 is moderate. This is because the level of motivation to learn is also affected by the challenges in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' descriptive essay writing skills. This type of research is qualitative research and was conducted on fourth grade students of SDIT Islamy. The subject selection technique used purposive sampling and took 20% of the class IV population. Data collection techniques using tests, observations, interviews. Aspects of descriptive essay writing skills are the involvement of the five senses, the suitability of the content with the title, organization, effective sentence mastery and vocabulary selection, and spelling. The results showed that the percentage of sensory involvement aspect was 0%, content conformity with title was 83%, organization was 0%, sentence mastery and effective vocabulary selection was 0%, spelling was 0%. The biggest percentage result is from the aspect of conformity of the content to the title, while the lowest aspect is from the involvement of the five senses, organization, effective sentence mastery and vocabulary selection, and spelling. Based on the previous explanation, it was concluded that the analysis of the descriptive essay writing skills of the fourth grade students of SDIT Islamy was in the very poor category. The theoretical implication of this research is to increase knowledge about the analysis of descriptive essay writing skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the students' reading comprehension ability in class V SDN 01 Karangmojo. This study is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects of this research were 5 fifth grade students of SDN 01 Karangmojo. The subject selection technique is done by criterion based selection. Research data were collected through test data collection techniques, documentation and interviews. This research uses the validity test with the triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The results showed that the reading comprehension ability of fifth grade students of SDN 01 Karangmojo based on Barrett's taxonomy is literal and reorganization comprehension are the most dominant indicator of reading comprehension ability. This means that students are able to find the meaning of words, determine main ideas, choose important paragraphs, and capture information that is implied in the reading. Low reading comprehension skills are in inferential and evaluative comprehension. Students are quite able to evaluate the content in the reading but have not been able to draw conclusions, assess ideas and express reasons for choosing these ideas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the misconceptions of science material theme VI heat and its transfer in fifth grade elementary school students. This type of research is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in the form of four-level diagnostic tests and interviews. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, namely all fifth grade students of SDN 1 Krasak Boyolali. The results showed that students of SDN 1 Krasak Boyolali had misconceptions on all subconcepts of the science material theme VI of heat and its displacement. The conclusion of this study is that the misconceptions that occur in students are 29.33% in the low category. The lowest misconception with a percentage of 23.32% is in the subconcepts of conductors and insulators. The highest misconception lies in the sub-concept of the difference in temperature and heat with a percentage of 36.65%. Factors that cause misconceptions in students come from wrong preconceptions, low interest in learning and improper reasoning.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the integrated content of TPACK with STEAM in thematic books. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. The data is the form of content in thematic books. The validity of the instrument used in this study is to use expert validity calculations or Gregory and data validated by increased persistence and theoretical triangulation. Integration TPACK and STEAM in the Science aspect appears 28 items with the provision that 9 items on integration of Science with Content Knowledge and 19 on integration between Science and Pedagogical Knowledge and are the most frequent occurrences. Integration between Engineering and TPACK appears 5 items. Furthermore, content that integrates Art with TPACK is 18 items with the provision that integration between Art and Technological Knowledge is 14 items and Content Knowledge is 4 items. The integration between Technology and TPACK doesn’t appear in content class V thematic books both from teacher or student books, considering there no indicators state that the content in the book contains Technology. The Mathematics aspect did not appear with the consideration that there was no content of Mathematics subject on the theme 1 Organ Gerak hewan dan manusia.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the content of basic science process skills in the lesson plan of learning at SD Negeri Tegalrejo No.98 Surakarta. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study used document studies and interviews. This research data is in the form of content contained in the lesson plan. The validity of the instrument used is the Gregory validity test or expert validity calculations which produce valid data with increased persistence and theoretical triangulation. The results of the analysis of lesson plans the fourth grade students SD Negeri Tegalrejo No.98 Surakarta conclude that there is content related to basic science process skills in the lesson plan of learning by involving students but it is not optimal and still needs improvement. The content analysis of basic science process skills in the lesson plan was found as much as 51% contained in the communication indicator as the largest number with 38 content and stated in the sufficient category. The indicator with the second number, namely observing has a percentage of 24% or as many as 18 content with low categories. The content of basic science process skills in the third order is found in the predictive indicator as much as 11% with 8 content categorized as very low. Furthermore, the indicator grouping is in fourth place as much as 9% with 7 content that is categorized as very low. The fifth order is the indicator concludes with a percentage of 5% with 4 content categorized as very low. Meanwhile, the basic science process skills measuring indicators in the fourth grade lesson plan were not found at all. So that the total content of basic science process skills found in the lesson plan is 75 content.

Abstract

Permainan tradisional Nusantara kaya akan nilai budaya dan edukasi, namun kurang optimal dalam pemanfaatannya sebagai media pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengkaji strategi optimalisasi permainan tradisional Nusantara bagi guru SD di Indonesia. Artikel ini merupakan kajian literatur terkait permainan tradisional Nusantara dan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian ini yaitu kajian literatur dengan mencari referensi teori yang relevan dengan kasus atau permasalahan yang ditemukan. Hasil kajian literatur ditemukan berbagai strategi optimalisasi permainan tradisional Nusantara, antara lain integrasi dengan materi pelajaran, modifikasi aturan dan permainan, pemanfaatan media pembelajaran, dan penyelenggaraan festival permainan tradisional. Implementasi strategi tersebut menunjukkan hasil positif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan motorik kasar dan halus, kerjasama tim dan komunikasi, dan pengetahuan budaya dan nilai-nilai luhur. Kesimpulan hasil kajian literatur yaitu optimalisasi permainan tradisional nusantara dapat menjadi solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar di Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengkaji dampak literasi informasi terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa sekolah dasar; dan (2) mengidentifikasi program literasi informasi yang diterapkan di sekolah dasar guna meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan partisipan terdiri dari 63 siswa dan 3 guru kelas V yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa telah mencapai standar literasi informasi di sekolah dasar. Indikator dengan persentase tertinggi adalah keterampilan dalam mencari dan mengakses informasi, sebesar 21,00%, sementara indikator dengan persentase terendah adalah pengorganisasian serta pengolahan informasi sebesar 19,94%. Selain itu, berbagai program literasi informasi yang diterapkan di sekolah dasar terbukti berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa.
