Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describing the development of quiz game learning media for Javanese script reading skills in fifth grade students of Mangkubumen Kidul elementary shool, Laweyan District, Surakarta. This research is a called RnD (research and development) and get to the stage of development. The research subjects were in fifth grade students of Mangkubumen Kidul elementary school, totaling 8 students. Sources of data come from students and teachers. Data collection techniques using interviews and document analysis. Validation techniques are carried out by material expert, media expert, and practitioner expert. The results of this product was in the good category with the precentage the material expert of 88,54%, the media expert of 98,75, and the practitioner expert of 85,22%. The process of creating learning media using Construct2 to build the program and Adobe Photoshop CS6 and CorelDRAW X5 to make a graphic design. The final result of this research is a product quiz game learning media for Javanese script reading skills that can be access on the device or smartphone.

Abstract

This research aims to (1)  know the differences in reading comprehension skills between students taught using the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) learning strategy and the Preview Question Read Summarize Test (PQRST) learning strategy; (2) know the differences in reading comprehension skills between the student who has high reading interest and low reading interest; (3) know the interaction between learning strategies and reading interest on students' reading comprehension skills. The study population was all grade IV students of Laweyan District Elementary School, Surakarta 2019/2020 Academic Year. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique. Samples obtained from this technique are SD Negeri Pajang 1 No.93 and SD Karangasem No.61 as the experimental class while SD Bratan III and SD Pajang IV as the control class. The results showed that first, there are differences in the reading comprehension skills of students taught using the Directed Reading Thinking Activity learning strategy and students who were taught using the Preview Question Read Summarize Test; second, there are differences in reading comprehension skills between the student who has high reading interest and students who have low reading interest; third, there is no interaction between learning strategies and reading interest in reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

AbstractThe reign of Paku Buwana II marked the beginning of the long journey of Karawitan Karaton Surakarta. One important phase in this journey was the era of Paku Buwana X and Paku Buwana XI. During the reign of Paku Buwana X, karawitan inside the karaton (palace) thrived and even became the focal point or center of karawitan, being recognized for its complex and refined style, its unique performance style, and its extraordinary allure in terms of its inventiveness, garap, and presentation. The height of its golden era during the time of Paku Buwana X was marked by the special attention given to various kinds of garap gending, instrumental playing patterns, and the development of wilet. After Paku Buwana X’s death, Paku Buwana XI was seemingly powerless to maintain the former glory of karawitan Karaton Surakarta throughout his reign. This was due to the declining social, political, and economic situation inside the karaton, as well as other external factors. The policies of the Dutch colonial government reduced the area over which the karaton had power, lowered its level of autonomy, restricted the king’s movement, and enforced a new political contract before Paku Buwana XI took to the throne, all of which were external factors that caused the life of karawitan in the karaton to deteriorate. Keywords: Karawitan Karaton Surakarta, Paku Buwana X, Paku Buwana XI. AbstrakMasa pemerintahan Paku Buwana II merupakan awal perjalanan panjang kehidupan Karawitan Karaton Surakarta. Salah satu fase penting dalam perjalanan tersebut adalah masa pemerintahan Paku Buwana X dan Paku Buwana XI. Ketika Paku Buwana X berkuasa karawitan karaton berkibar bahkan dijadikan kiblat sebagai pusat sumber garap karawitan yang rumit dan halus,  memiliki ciri khusus dalam penyajiannya serta memiliki daya tarik yang luar biasa dalam hal penciptaan, garap, maupun penyajian. Puncak kejayaan dan keemasan pada masa pemerintahan Paku Buwana X ditandai dengan adanya perhatian khusus terhadap berbagai garap gending, pola permainan instrumen, serta pengembangan wilet. Pasca mangkatnya Paku Buwana X, Paku Buwana XI seakan tidak berdaya mempertahankan kejayaan karawitan selama memerintah di Karaton Surakarta. Hal in dikarenakan situasi sosial politik dan perekonomian internal Karaton mengalami kemunduran, di samping faktor-faktor dari luar karaton. Kebijakan pemerintah kolonial Belanda yang mengurangi daerah bawahan (manca negara), pengurangan otonomi, pembatasan ruang gerak raja, serta adanya kontrak politik yang baru sebelum Paku Buwana XI naik tahta diduga merupakan faktor-faktor eksternal yang menyebabkan kehidupan karawitan karaton mengalami kemerosotan. Kata kunci: Karawitan Karaton Surakarta, Paku Buwana X, Paku Buwana XI

Abstract

The spreading of Islamic faith in Java uses many ways or methods to propagate Islamic faith. One of the medium which is support the spreading of Islam in Java is ‘Gamelan Sekaten’. It is kind of an ensemble which is played on the occasion of Muhammad’s birthday and played as long as 1 week in ‘Bangsal Pagongan’ in front of the Great Mosque Surakarta. Before Javanese people knowing and converting into Islamic faith, Javanese people have been converted into Hindu & Buddhist faith. This psychological social condition of Javanese people becomes the obstacle for the nine muslim saints, Wali Sanga, to spread Islamic faith. Sunan Kalijaga suggested using ‘gamelan’ as the attractiveness of spreading Islam. The ‘Gamelan Sekaten’ which is used as a medium of spreading Islam in Java strongly assumed that this medium has value or element of Islam. The setting of Javanese people in that time still had a strong faith toward Hindu & Buddhist faith, so it required a tool, in this case is a ‘gamelan sekaten’, to facilitate the nine muslim saints in spreading Islamic Faith. This religious proselytizing strategy which is use ‘gamelan sekaten’ as a medium appears to be very interesting & effective to gather people. Begins with feel interest to ‘gameln sekaten’, finally, Javanese people know and convert into Islam as their faith. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan mode pembelajaran kuantum berbantuan media audio-visuaI untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar ski tembang doIanan di kelas V SD Negeri 02 Karangasem Kecamatan Petarukan Kabupaten PemaIang. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil pembelajaran dalam praktek menyanyi tembang doIanan siswa yang masih berada di bawah KKM. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 02 Karangasem Kecamatan Petarukan Kabupaten PemaIang. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 02 Karangasem yang berjumlah 37 siswa yang terdiri dari 23 perempuan dan 14 laki-laki. Penelitian ini menggunakan bantuan media audio visuaI. Modus penelitian ini menggunakan langkah-langkah yang membentuk siklus dengan urutan pIanning, action-observing, dan refIecting. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah materi pelajaran, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif menggunakan tes hasil belajar. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji validitas konstruk dan uji validitas isi dengan melakukan expert judgement bersama guru sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan sebesar 27,52% (8 siswa). Sedangkan skor rata-rata cIass pada siklus pertama adalah 71,89 (belum mencapai tujuan KKM dan Iearning). Pada siklus II dapat dikatakan terjadi peningkatan sebesar 13,76% (4 siswa). Rata-rata cIass pada siklus II adalah 83,17 (telah mencapai tujuan KKM dan Iearning). Teknik pengumpulan data untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif menggunakan tes hasil belajar. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji validitas konstruk dan uji validitas isi dengan melakukan expert judgement bersama guru sekolah. Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the form of the error, (2) the cause of the error, and (3) the teacher's efforts to overcome the misuse of Indonesian spelling in the essays of fifth grade students of SD Negeri Bumi 1. 67 Surakarta. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a sample of students' narrative essays. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using document analysis and interviews. The data validity test used theory and source triangulation techniques, and referred to PUEBI and KBBI. The data analysis technique uses interactive analysis which includes four stages, namely: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) drawing conclusions. Percentage of errors in using letters (39.04%), writing words (44.52%), using punctuation marks (10.52%), and writing absorption elements (5.48%). The causes of misuse of Indonesian spelling in student essays include: (1) students do not understand spelling rules and are not aware of mistakes in writing, (2) teachers have not implemented certain strategies, models, or media. The teacher's effort to overcome this is by providing direct corrections and providing training to students to become accustomed to writing.

Abstract

Abstract. This aim of this research is to describe the ability to video-based storytelling skills in grade V SDN Wirotaman in the academic year 2020/2021. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source of this research is the fifth grade students of SDN Wirotaman as many as eight children as the research sample taken by using purposive sampling technique. The technique of collecting data was carried out by interviews, and document analysis by testing the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman data analysis models. The results of this study indicate that students are able to tell interactive video-based stories by fulfilling the specified indicators. The results of this study also encourage teachers to determine effective strategies, models, and methods so as to improve students' video-based storytelling skills.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the differences in the ability to write non-fiction text between students who are taught using the Think Talk Write model and the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model; (2) determine the differences in the ability to write non-fiction text between students who have high motivation and low motivation; (3) determine the interaction between learning models and learning motivation on the ability to write non-fiction text. This type of research is a Quasy Experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The data collection technique consisted of a test of the ability to write non-fiction texts and a learning motivation questionnaire. The prerequisite test for data analysis consisted of a normality test, a homogeneity test and a balance test. The data analysis technique was done by using Two Way Annova. The conclusions of this study: (1) there are differences in the students' abilities in writing non-fiction text which are taught using the Think, Talk, Write (TTW) and Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC) learning models (p = 0.000 <0.05); (2) there is a difference in the ability of students with high learning motivation and students with low reading interest in writing non-fiction texts (p = 0.000 <0.05); (c) there is an interaction between learning models and learning motivation on students' ability to write non-fiction text (p = 0.047 <0.05).

Abstract

Pembelajaran inovatif yang bersifat konstruktivisme serta mengarah pada pembelajaran yang bermakna, menjembatani interaksi guru dan peserta didik merupakan konsekuensi logis dari efek lompatan teknologi digital dan teknologi informasi yang menghasilkan akses serba cepat di era disrupsi. Aksara Jawa adalah bagian dari kebudayaan lokal yang harus dilestarikan di era disrupsi sebagai salah satu kekayaan budaya lokal yang sarat dengan nilai-nilai dan ajaran moral. Implementasi model dan media pembelajaran inovatif merupakan salah satu upaya upaya pelestarian kebudayaan lokal yang berupa aksara Jawa di ranah pendidikan dasar. Penelitian yang dilakukan di dua sekolah dasar dengan menggunakan model dan media pembelajaran inovatif menghasilkan peningkatan ketrampilan membaca dan menulis aksara Jawa. Penelitian yang dilakukan di SD Negeri 1 Boyolali pada uji pratindakan diperoleh hasil rata-rata kelas 50,75 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 12,50%. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat menjadi 68,09 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 56,25%, dan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat menjadi 79,14 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 87,50%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media Pop Up Book dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca aksara Jawa pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Boyolali. Dengan tindakan yang sama, penelitian di kelas VA SD Muhammadiyah Wonogiri mendapat nilai rata-rata 27,04 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 19,23% pada uji pratindakan, siklus I rata-rata 68,21 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 70,83%, siklus II nilai rata-rata 81,25 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 91,67% sehingga didapat kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran make a match dapat meningkatkan ketrampilan menulis aksara Jawa siswa kelas VA SD Muhammadiyah Wonogiri. Dari dua penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model dan media pembelajaran inovatif dapat meningkatkan ketrampilan membaca dan menulis aksara Jawa di era disrupsi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the development of learning media for reading Javanese scripts based on edutainment video for fifth-grade students of Mijen Public Elementary School, Surakarta. This type of research is research and development. The development based on the Borg and Gall development research procedure which has been simplified by the Puslitjaknov Team. The subject were fifth-grade students at Mijen Public Elementary School, Surakarta. Sources of data come from students and teacher. Data collection techniques using interviews and document analysis. Validation techniques are carried out by material expert, media expert, and practitioner expert. The making of learning media using Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop. The results showed that the development was declared very feasible. The feasibility level of this learning media based on the assessment of: 1) material expert obtained a total score of 70 with an average 3.5; 2) media expert obtained a total score of 69 with an average 3.45; 3) practitioner expert obtained a total score of 155 with an average 3.875.
