Abstract

This research aims to determine the use of learning media and constructivism learning theory during the learning activities. This research uses descriptive qualitative research metods and case study approach. Sources of data in this study was fifth grade teachers and fifth grade students of SDN Tunggulsari II Surakarta. The data collection technique was done by observing, interviewing and studying documents. The data were analyzed using the data analysis model of Miles and Huberman.The result of this study indicate that during online learning activities the teachers continues to use learning media to help provide teaching materials. The media used by the teachers was simplified and adapted due to the condition and facilities that student have. Constructivism learning theory during the learning includes the appearance of student looking for, exploring, and discovering new knowledge by themselves.The series of learning activites during the online learning implemented by the teacher was accordance with  2013 curiculum learning. The learning process that carried out by the teachers also reflects to tematic learning. The result of this study can also be used to increase teacher insight of the use of media during online learning and constructivism learning theory can be applied during learning to make student more active.

Abstract

This study aimed to: 1) describe the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) with comic media to enhance problem-solving skills in fraction story problems; 2) improve problem-solving skills in fraction story problems through the PBL instructional model. This research used a Classroom Action Research methodods. The subjects were teachers and 34 fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data validity was using triangulation. The data analysis technique was interactive analysis. The result showed that the average problem-solving skill score increased in each cycle. In the pre-action phase, it was 66,76, in cycle 1 it was 75,15, and it became 87,74 in cycle 2. Classical completeness also increased, from 41% in the pre-action phase to 53% in cycle 1, and 88% in cycle 2. The study concluded that: 1) the PBL model assisted by comic media was effectively imlemented; 2) the problem-solving skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Jajar Surakarta improved using the model and media. Theoretical implications provided information using PBL models with comic media in teaching mathematical. Practical implications showed that applying PBL with comic media was effective and had a positive impact.This study can be a reference for other researchers.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the character of social care and mutual cooperation of students through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in Pancasila Education subjects for grade V students of SD Negeri Dukuh 02 in the academic year 2024/2025. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which is implemented in two cycles. The research subjects were 17 students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used Miles and Huberman's interactive data analysis technique with the steps of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The Problem-Based Learning Model was implemented through several stages, namely orienting students to the problem, organizing students to learn, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and presenting discussion results, and analyzing and evaluating problems. The results showed that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model steps was effective in improving students' social care and mutual cooperation character. The social care character increased from 71.38% in Cycle I to 82.90% in Cycle II, while the mutual cooperation character increased from 74.04% to 81.88%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' collaboration and creativity through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in Civics Education for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Danukusuman in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in three cycles and involving 20 students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and assessment of students’ creative products. The Project Based Learning model was implemented through several stages: determining essential questions, planning the project, creating a schedule, monitoring progress, assessing the outcomes, and evaluating the process. The findings show that the application of this model effectively enhanced students’ collaboration and creativity. The collaboration dimension improved from 66.6% in Cycle I to 80% in Cycle III, while the creativity dimension increased from 66.9% to 78.9%.
