Abstract

Salah satu kendala dari pengembangan budidaya bawang merah ini adalah kebutuhan umbi bibit yang tidak seimbang dengan ketersediaan umbi bibit bawang merah. Saat ini tersedia benih dari biji (True Shallot Seeds, TSS yang dijual secara komersial, namun jumlah umbi yang dihasilkan dari TSS masih sedikit. Pembentukan umbi dapat dimanipulasi dengan penggunaan retardart paclobutrazol (PBZ), akan tetapi keberhasilannya tergantung dari konsentrasi dengan saat aplikasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi dan waktu aplikasi paclobutrazol serta interaksinya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) asal TSS. Penelitian di Rumbuk, Kecamatan Sakra, Kabupaten Lombok Timur yang berlangsung selama 5 bulan mulai bulan Juli hingga November 2022. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial 2 faktor. Faktor pertama, yaitu konsentrasi paclobutrazol dengan 4 konsentrasi dan faktor kedua yaitu waktu aplikasi paclobutrazol dengan 3 aras waktu. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Analisis of Variance (Anova) dengan taraf 5%, selanjutnya perlakuan yang berbeda nyata diuji lanjut menggunakan uji BNJ 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa interaksi antara konsentrasi dan waktu aplikasi berpengaruh nyata pada laju pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman dan diameter umbi. Pada konsentrasi terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah, kecuali pada berat basah tanaman dan berat kering setiap umbi. Waktu aplikasi pengaruh nyata hanya pada diameter umbi.

Abstract

Desa Buwun Mas merupakan salah satu desa yang terdapat didaerah pesisir Kecamatan Sekotong, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Kegiatan budidaya rumput laut di Desa Buwun Mas Sesungguhnya telah dilakukan sejak puluhan tahun lalu, namun beberapa tahun belakangan kegiatan budidaya mengalami kemunduran. Faktor utama penyebab kemunduran kegiatan budidaya ini ialah adanya perubahan iklim global. Berdasarkan kenyataan tersebut maka, tim pengabdian menawarkan solusi untuk membangkitkan kembali kegiatan budiaya melalui penerapan teknologi bondre sebagai teknologi budidaya sepanjang tahun. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan Pengabdian Ipteks Bagi Masyarakat ini ialah metode partsipatif dengan melibatkan semua anggota kelompok. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan pemahaman masyarakat menjadi lebih baik tentang teknologi bondre yang diterapkan. Selain itu, masyarakat secara mandiri sudah dapat menentukan waktu yang tepat untuk menerapkan teknologi bondre berdasarkan karakteristik lokasi budidaya untuk mendukung keberlanjutan produksi rumput laut.

Abstract

One of the problems that exist in the Mertak Village community, especially Berami and Montong Gerantung hamlets, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara is the lack of public awareness of the utilization of livestock manure into organic fertilizer and its use in agricultural cultivation. This program aims to provide counseling and assistance to the people of Mertak Village to utilize livestock manure as organic fertilizer which has a sale value and can be used as a substitute for rare chemical fertilizers. The method we use is self-approach to the local community, after approaching the community we conduct training and assistance in making organic fertilizer from livestock manure, ending with socialization regarding the use of cow manure into organic fertilizer and its application in agricultural cultivation. Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of NPK Phonska dosage and Petrobio biofertilizer on growth and yield of long bean plants. The research was conducted from January to April 2024 at Kelayu Utara, Selong District, East Lombok. The experiment was designed according to a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) design with 2 factors: NPK Phonska fertilizer at five levels and Petrobio biofertilizer at two levels, thus there were 10 treatment combinations, which were 3 times. The data were analyzed using ANOVA at the 5% level, then further tested using an Significant Difference (LSD) test of 5% significance level. The results showed a significant interaction between NPK Phonska fertilizer dosage and Petrobio biofertilizer in influencing plant height at 35 days after planting (DAP) and the number of leaves at 21 DAP. NPK Phonska fertilizer, as a single factor, significantly affected plant height at 21 and 28 DAP, the number of leaves at 21, 28, and 35 DAP, flowering time, the number of flowers, the percentage of flowers turning into pods, pod weight, pod length, and pod diameter. Petrobio biofertilizer, as a single factor, significantly affected plant height at 21 DAP, the number of leaves at 28 DAP, and flowering time. In this study, the best NPK Phonska fertilizer dosage for growth and yield of long bean  plants was 16 g/plant.

Abstract

Desa Mertak adalah salah satu desa di Lombok Tengah yang terletak dalam Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Mandalika. Mayoritas masyarakat di desa ini menghasilkan hidupnya sebagai petani dan nelayan, dan beberapa di antaranya adalah peternak lebah tanpa sengat. Kegiatan peternakan lebah tanpa sengat yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat di Desa Mertak belum optimal dan hanya berdasarkan pengalaman. Tujuan dari pengenalan ini adalah untuk mengajar dan menerapkan teknik peternakan lebah tanpa sengat kepada masyarakat di Desa Mertak, Kecamatan Pujut, Lombok Tengah. Metode dari kegiatan sosial ini adalah sosialisasi dan praktek pemisahan koloni. Masyarakat mengklaim telah memperoleh pengetahuan tentang lebah tanpa sengat, yang dapat memberikan pendapatan tambahan selain pertanian dan perikanan. Harapannya adalah semakin banyak orang yang beternak lebah tanpa sengat dengan benar dan dapat memisahkan koloni, sehingga meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat.

Abstract

Food insecurity remains a significant challenge in many rural areas, including in Segala Anyar Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok. This village is characterized by dryland farming systems that heavily rely on the rainy season, causing agricultural activities to halt during the dry season. This condition directly affects food availability and household income. Meanwhile, Segala Anyar Village has considerable yard space (home gardens) that has yet to be optimally utilized. This community engagement program aimed to optimize yard utilization through a microfarming approach as a strategy to achieve community-based food self-sufficiency. The activity was carried out from April to June 2025 using participatory and applicative methods. The participatory method was applied in identifying land potential and planning the program with local residents, while the applicative method involved hands-on training in organic home garden cultivation and growing media preparation. The results of the program indicated an increase in community knowledge and skills in managing yard space, along with the formation of a microfarming working group to support program sustainability. The microfarming approach proved to be a strategic solution for addressing food access disparities in dryland farming areas and promoting sustainable food self-sufficiency at the household and community levels

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide assistance in the development of horticultural cultivation in Dusun Mongge 2, Sukadana Village. The activity is a follow-up to the horticulture training conducted in early October 2023 at the Sukadana village office. The assistance is carried out in the form of hands-on gardening practices by local residents, particularly housewives, with the hope of improving household food security and creating home-based business opportunities. Support was provided in the form of horticultural seeds (eggplant, tomato, chili, bitter melon, zucchini, golden mama, etc.), polybags, soil, rice husks, manure, and plant protection nets. The assistance process is conducted periodically and includes technical education on cultivation, management of growing media, and the use of organic waste (livestock manure) as fertilizer. This approach aims to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers while improving soil fertility and crop quality. Preliminary results show good plant growth and enthusiastic participation from the residents. It is hoped that this activity will not only strengthen household food security but also serve as an alternative source of income, particularly for housewives without permanent employment.

Abstract

Sweet corn (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt) is an important crop in Indonesia but remains vulnerable to pest attacks that lower its productivity. Excessive reliance on chemical pesticides raises environmental and resistance concerns. This study aims to explore the diversity of predatory insects as natural enemies of pests in sweet corn fields in Telagawaru Village, Labuapi Sub-district, West Lombok. The research was conducted from November 2024 to January 2025 in two cultivation sites. A descriptive method using field surveys and laboratory identification was applied. Observations were carried out using purposive sampling within five 5×5 m blocks per field, at five intervals between 30–50 days after planting. Pitfall and yellow pan traps were used for 24-hour sampling. Data were analyzed using Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H'), evenness index (E), and dominance index (D). Results revealed 1,234 predator individuals from five orders, 19 families, and 31 genera. H’ was 1.909 (moderate), E was 0.2327 (low), and D was 0.2129 (low). It can be concluded that sweet corn fields in the study area have moderate predator diversity with low dominance. Further long-term monitoring is recommended to support ecological pest control strategies by understanding predator dynamics across environmental and agricultural factors.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efek pemberian pupuk NPK dan pupuk kotoran sapi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil panen tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini berupa percobaan factorial yang dilakukan di desa Sukadana, Kecamatan Pujut, Lombok Tengah. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah pupuk NPK dengan dosis 100% dosis anjuran, 75% dosis anjuran dan 50% dosis anjuran. Faktor kedua adalah Pupuk Kotoran Sapi dengan dosis 5 ton/ ha, 10 ton/ ha dan 20 ton/ha. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam dengan a= 5% dan selanjutnya di uji lanjut dengan uji beda nyata jujur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengurangan pupuk NPK tidak berdampak signifikan, namun dosis 75% dosis anjuran memberikan rata-rata terbaik pada parameter pertumbuhan yaitu jumlah ruas, tinggi tanaman dan jumlah tangkai bunga. Aplikasi Pupuk Kotoran Sapi memberikan perbedaan hasil yang signifikan pada parameter berat buah, jumlah buah dan diameter buah per tanaman. Dosis 20 ton/ha memberikan hasil terbaik. Hasil Anova tidak menunjukkan adanya interaksi antar factor.

Abstract

Mongge-2 Hamlet, one of the hamlets in the Penyangga Village area. Services activity accompanied by assistance in processing livestock manure to produce organic fertilizer to support sustainable integrated farming system in this hamlet. The aim is to empower the community with productive activities through optimizing the potential of natural resources and human resources by involving relevant stakeholders. This service activity will be carried out in 2023, starting with a location survey activity. The next activity is coordinated to determine target communities to be given regular counseling and assistance to produce solid organic fertilizer and how to apply it in the field. After the outreach and mentoring activities are carried out, monitoring, reporting and publication are carried out. The organic fertilizer produced is applied to garden and agricultural cultivation around Mongge-2 Hamlet. This organic fertilizer is expected to play a role in improving the soil and is expected to reduce the use of synthetic fertilizers and increase the fertility of the media used. so that agricultural products are healthier for consumption. Further research needs to be carried out to determine the content of the organic fertilizer produced and its effect on the growth of agricultural cultivation of certain commodities.
