Abstract

This article examines the importance of education in shaping students’ character through the internalization of Pancasila values, particularly the second principle, “Just and Civilized Humanity,” and the third principle, “The Unity of Indonesia.” According to Law No. 20 of 2003, education aims to develop students’ potential to possess intelligence, personality, noble character, and social skills. This study employs a qualitative method to understand the implementation of Pancasila values in a socialization activity themed “Stop Bullying and Practice Caring for Others,” conducted by students of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung on November 7, 2025, at Babakan Bandung Public Elementary School, involving classes 6A and 6B. A series of activities were carried out, including an initial survey, delivery of material on bullying, ice-breaking sessions, Q&A, and the creation of a “Tree of Emotional Expressions” as a medium to express the emotional impact of bullying. The results indicate an increased student understanding of the importance of mutual respect, empathy, and maintaining unity in social life. The implementation of Pancasila values is shown to effectively promote positive character formation while minimizing bullying behavior. This article concludes that value-based education grounded in Pancasila is highly relevant in the era of globalization, with recommendations to expand similar activities to other schools and involve families and communities to strengthen character development comprehensively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and implementation of Pancasila values, particularly Belief in the One Almighty God and Just and Civilized Humanity, which were actualized through a short (one-day) intervention program for students at Al-Ghifari Elementary School. This study is based on a community service program implemented over a limited period. The method used is descriptive qualitative, focusing on pre- and post-evaluation of the one-day activity. Data were collected through direct observation during the program implementation and reflections from educators. The results of this short activity indicate that the values of Belief in the One Almighty God were internalized through interactive education sessions based on religion and tolerance. Meanwhile, the values of Humanity were actualized through educational game simulations that emphasize the importance of honesty, justice, and empathy among students. Despite the short (one-day) program, there was an increase in students' enthusiasm and initial understanding of these values, which are important foundations for character building.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of digitalization in the zakat payment system at BAZNAS Bandung City and its impact on management efficiency and community engagement. The rationale behind this investigation stems from the necessity for zakat organizations to embrace technological advancements to enhance transparency, accountability, and service accessibility. The methodology used is qualitatively descriptive, involving interviews, observations, and documentation from BAZNAS stakeholders and digital service users. The findings indicate that the deployment of the BAZNAS Digital Office framework and additional digital platforms has facilitated zakat payments, expanded the scope of collection, and improved transparency in distribution processes. Moreover, digitalization has encouraged the involvement of non-civil servant communities in consistent and effective zakat practices. Nevertheless, challenges remain, including limited digital literacy, technical malfunctions, and concerns regarding data security. In summary, the digital transformation of zakat at BAZNAS Bandung City represents a significant step toward contemporary, efficient, and accountable zakat administration. Enhancing human resource capacity and system security is crucial to maintaining public trust. Practically, this study underscores the importance of collaboration between zakat institutions and the technology sector to strengthen the social impact of zakat in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines how muamalah principles are implemented in the daily operations of a sharia hotel in Indonesia. Using a qualitative descriptive-analytic approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature reviews, including DSN-MUI Fatwa No.108/2016. The findings show that the hotel applies sharia-compliant service contracts by strictly verifying marital status, preventing unlawful activities, and ensuring transparency in every transaction. Ethical values such as amanah and ihsan are reflected in the staff’s polite yet firm attitude when communicating rules to guests. However, challenges remain, including limited guest understanding of sharia regulations, insufficient supporting facilities, and occasional security issues. The study concludes that although the hotel has generally upheld muamalah principles, improvements in guest education and sharia-based facilities are still needed for more optimal implementation.

Abstract

The values of Pancasila in daily life can foster good character and strengthen communal harmony. Indeed, Pancasila's values have proven effective in nurturing mutual respect, reinforcing a sense of unity, and cultivating the habit of deliberation in decision-making. The practical application of these values encourages the emergence of a just societal environment. On this occasion, we, Group 2 from the Pancasila Education course at Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University Bandung, carried out an assignment to actualize Pancasila values at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Perguruan Islam on October 28, 2025, with the material on "The Importance of Pancasila Values in Daily Life." To understand their significance more deeply, we focused on three main foundations that shape the nation's morality and identity: Belief in the One and Only God, a Just and Civilized Humanity, and the Unity of Indonesia. This involved raising awareness that actions such as helping parents, assisting friends, and praying before studying are part of applying these three points of Pancasila in everyday life.

Abstract

The practice of offering cinema ticket discounts has become a common marketing strategy in Indonesia’s entertainment industry, particularly through digital platforms and membership programs. This study examines cinema ticket discount practices from the perspective of Islamic economic law, focusing on the concepts of maslahah (public benefit), mudharabah (profit-sharing), and their implications for consumers and producers. Using a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, the study analyzes discount mechanisms, pricing structures, and their impact on stakeholders through the lens of Islamic legal principles. The findings indicate that offering cinema ticket discounts can be justified in Islamic law when they fulfill the criteria of maslahah by providing accessibility to entertainment, supporting economic circulation, and ensuring fairness in transactions. However, certain practices, such as extreme price manipulation, misleading marketing, and exploitation of consumer behavior, raise concerns regarding gharar (uncertainty) and dharar (harm). The mudharabah framework provides insights into the profit-sharing dynamics between cinemas, distributors, and digital platforms, emphasizing the need for transparent and fair partnerships. This study recommends that discount practices be regulated to ensure compliance with Islamic principles of fairness, transparency, and shared benefit, while maintaining industry sustainability and consumer protection.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of online almsgiving (sedekah) on the Dompet Dhuafa platform from an Islamic sharia perspective using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method supported by in-depth interviews. The findings show that online almsgiving complies with sharia principles based on the Qur’an, Hadith, and fiqh rules that permit the use of technology as a means of worship. The system operates through an integrated digital platform with transparent mechanisms, oversight by a Sharia Supervisory Board, and independent audits with an unqualified (WTP) opinion. Online almsgiving significantly increases the number of donors due to accessible features, wide outreach, and efficient processes. Challenges include varying levels of digital literacy, technical limitations, and public concerns regarding sharia validity. These are addressed through continuous education, enhanced security, maximum transparency, and hybrid service models. The study concludes that digital transformation in almsgiving demonstrates Islam’s adaptability while upholding sharia values and optimizing the potential of Islamic philanthropy for greater social impact in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid growth of multi-level marketing (MLM) companies in Indonesia, including those claiming to adopt a sharia-based system, raises questions regarding the conformity of their business mechanisms with Islamic economic law principles. This study aims to analyze the level of sharia compliance in the network marketing practices of PT Bandung Eco Sinergi Teknologi (PT BEST). A qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method is employed to examine PT BEST’s business system based on muamalah principles and the provisions of DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 75/DSN-MUI/VII/2009 on Sharia-Compliant Multi-Level Direct Selling. Primary data were collected through interviews with distributors and management, observations of training and marketing activities, and documentation studies of company regulations and bonus schemes. The findings indicate that PT BEST has made efforts to implement a sharia-compliant network marketing model by providing real and beneficial products and explicitly avoiding riba-related practices. However, several aspects still require improvement, particularly the balance between product sales and member recruitment, the transparency of bonus distribution, and the effectiveness of sharia supervision. The study concludes that PT BEST’s business system partially fulfills sharia principles and offers recommendations for strengthening more ethical, transparent, and equitable network marketing practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the wak?lah bil ujrah contract in the practice of photo or greeting delivery services (jastip) conducted by the Instagram account @Babangkiwill_, with a focus on the conformity of the contract elements to the principles of fiqh mu??malah. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method through observation of the account’s activities, interviews with service providers and users, as well as documentation of posts and digital transactions. A literature review of classical fiqh sources and previous research is also used to strengthen the analysis. The findings indicate that this jastip practice essentially meets the characteristics of a wak?lah bil ujrah contract, particularly in the aspects of delegated authority and compensation. However, it still requires clarity regarding the service object, transparency of the ujrah (fee), and avoidance of gharar and tadl?s to ensure compliance with sharia principles. This study demonstrates that classical contracts can adapt to the digital creative economy, as long as sharia principles are upheld.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program launched by the Indonesian government in early 2025 is a strategic policy aimed at addressing malnutrition and stunting among school-aged children, pregnant women, and toddlers through the free distribution of nutritious food. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the program using the perspective of Maqasid al-Shariah, which emphasizes the protection of life and intellect, distributive justice, and the trustworthy management of resources. The research employs a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis is conducted descriptively by comparing implementation practices with the principles of Maqasid al-Shariah. The results show that the Free Nutritious Meal Program has a positive impact on maintaining health and supporting children’s cognitive development. However, challenges remain, including unequal distribution across regions, menu variations that are not aligned with local preferences, inconsistent portion sizes, and suboptimal supervision. The aspect of justice in target determination requires improvement to align with Islamic principles of fairness. The study recommends improving governance through a systematic monitoring system, cross-sector coordination, menu adjustments based on local wisdom, and the consistent application of halal certification. With optimal implementation of Maqasid al-Shariah principles, the program has the potential to become an effective, just, and sustainable social policy.
