Abstract

In recent years, wireless technology as a communication system has not been developed not only limited to the use of electronic devices, but also directed to the mobility of humans and vehicles that they use daily. This technological development used as a solution to solve problems in the public transportation system and accidents, because private vehicles, public transportation, and driving from one point to another have become an inseparable part of human daily life. The technology is called VANET (Vehicular Ad hoc Network). VANET as a method to overcome this problem must be supported by a routing protocol that has good performance for sending data. Some examples of these routing protocols include DSDV, DSR, AOMDV, and ZRP. The protocol must also be shipped with a supported network interface. The network interfaces that usually used on VANET are IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.11p standards. This study measure it using test parameters which are end-to-end delay, throughput, and packet delivery ratio. The results of the study show that the IEEE 802.11p standard has better performance rather than IEEE 802.11, produces better end-to-end delay values ​​with 40.99ms, 47.58ms, 49.52ms, and 5037.61 ms consecutively on the DSR, DSDV, AOMDV, and ZRP protocols. In addition, the resulting throughput value for the IEEE 802.11p standard is also greater than that of the IEEE 802.11 standard, with values ​​of 2029.05Kbps, 1556.67Kbps, 1541.88Kbps, and 0.71Kbps consecutively in the DSR, AOMDV, DSDV, and ZRP. On the performance of packet delivery ratio, the results obtained better values ​​for the DSDV and AOMDV protocols with 99.91% each on the IEEE 802.11 standard, and DSR and ZRP with values ​​of 99.97% and 68.75% on the IEEE standard 802.11p.

Abstract

Aquaculture is a commodity that is quite important to meet the fulfillment of Indonesian market in addition to fishery. Water quality in a pond farming is an aspect that we need to pay attention to that for the sustainability of the biota inside. The application of pond farming in a highland cities, low air temperature, frequently become an obstacle. Besides that, 24 hours water quality check is a challenging things for pond farmers. This research is using Internet of Things with the support of communication protocol ZigBee which can make an easier way for pond farmers to access the current condition of their ponds. With expectations shrimp farmers can increase their income and didn't suffer a loss because of problems they faced. In its implementation a sensor node that contain of temperature sensor and a turbidity sensor is placed on the object of research which is home-base shrimp pond farming. Then the obtained data is sent to the node gateway and then the data will be forwarded to ThingSpeak webserver. From the testing that has been done using communication protocol ZigBee, the data transmission is quite good. In a tests that held indoors, an average delay is 1.8 s, packet loss to 0%, and the average throughput is 211.023 kbps.

Abstract

Currently, internet of things (IoT) based technology has been widely applied to monitor temperature and humidity in mushroom cultivation house. Sensors like the DHT11 are involved to sense temperature and humidity. After the data is obtained, then the data is sent to the base station for temporary storage. The base station then forwards the data to a database located in the cloud so that the data can be stored. Users must be connected to the internet first when they want to access data. Internet connection is a must for internet of things based systems. If the mushroom cultivation house location is in a location or area that does not have an internet connection, then the IoT-based system cannot work. This is a problem for this system. Based on these problems, this research tries to overcome these problems by making a prototype of a temperature and humidity monitoring system based on fog computing on mushroom cultivation house. This prototype is made similar to an IoT-based system, but the data can still be accessed even without an internet connection. This can happen because the database and web server are placed on the fog node (Raspberry pi 3) which is on the local network. The result of this research is that the system can be accessed on a local network without involving an internet connection and runs like a cloud-based system. Also, performance testing shows that 25 to 50 meters is a good distance to transmit data.

Abstract

The increasing demand for drinking water is corresponding to the increasing amount of refill drinking water depot industry. However, the refill drinking water depot industry currently still manually records their water sales. Sales recording can be seen the parameter of the amount of water discharge. The amount of water discharge can be found by making a monitoring system. The monitoring system can be built with Internet of Things (IoT) technology. In the application of IoT, a communication protocol between entities is needed to exchange data. In this study, AMQP protocol was used. AMQP is a reliable messaging protocol with acknowledgment as a guaranteed messaging feature. The implementation of AMQP protocol is divided into three parts; producer, broker, and consumer. Producer acts as component that sends data. Consumer acts as component that receives data. Broker acts as communication intermediary between producer and consumer. In this study, producer is implemented using raspberry pi device. The implementation of the broker uses AMQP cloud service, while the consumer is implemented on client's laptop. From the results of the conducted performance test, the results obtained are with packet loss parameter of 0% and delay parameter of 63.06 ms, which are in the very good category of the test parameter. As well as the jitter parameter of 0.32 ms which is included in the good parameter category.

Abstract

The chicken coop environment is very dangerous in the event of a fire because the materials for making chicken coops are all combustible materials, besides the location of the chicken coop which is relatively far from residential areas, so a tool is needed that can contact the owner of the cage. In the event of a fire, the cage environment does not have supporting facilities to warn the chicken coop owner so that research is implemented to assist farmers in anticipating the event of a fire. Researchers make a plan for a tool that can provide early warning when the chicken coop detects a fire by utilizing network technology in the form of a gateway that is able to manage data and a link to be distributed to smart phones. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded as follows, the sensor node is able to retrieve temperature and smoke data that has been designed by implementing the LM35 sensor module and the MQ-2 sensor module with the NodeMCU intermediary, the sensor node used is good enough to be used in temperature data collection. and smoke. In the process of sending data packets using the LoRa communication module, it is able to run well by running two nodes as multipoints in the process of sending data from the sensor node to the gateway. In the process of sending messages from the gateway, it has been running well, as evidenced when the gateway receives a message from the sensor node, the message will be directly forwarded to the telegram application by displaying a message that there is a fire at point one and point two. On the performance of sending data packets with the parameters of packet loss, delay and jitter, the results show that sending using variations in the distance between the sensor node and the gateway is very influential. Based on the performance test parameters, the best value is obtained at a distance of 50 meters and the bad value is at a distance of 200 meters because it is known that the value of packet loss, delay value and jitter value is greater than at a distance of 50 meters. The performance of a system by utilizing the LoRa communication protocol greatly affects the distance used, the parameter value decreases when the distance used is greater.

Abstract

The rapidly increasing use of the internet today will of course have a major impact on the performance of a web server. The web server cannot respond quickly so that it can hamper the communication process. The availability of a web server that is not supported by a method can hamper the performance of a server, due to the accumulation of requests on the server which can cause network failure. For this reason, a dynamic web server implementation planning process was formed by implementing a docker system with the failover method to be able to dynamically take over the connection when one of the servers is down is proposed to overcome this problem. Based on the research on the implementation of dynamic web servers by implementing Docker, it can be concluded that the implementation of dynamic web servers with Docker as containerization management on virtual networks. With the facilitation of the web server image, it can be used to run an open source service as a web server by implementing the PHP language to be displayed on HTML pages that are directly connected to the data base as storage media. With loadbalancing and failover mechanisms in the docker environment, it is very helpful in distributing web server services from node manager to node worker as a backup server in the event of a system failure on one of the servers. Then the dynamic web server in failover testing has the lowest average response time at node worker 2 with a value of 18.90ms, the time obtained is certainly influenced by the delay time interval that has been determined during load testing of the web server service.

Abstract

Current technology requires a network that able to collect data continuously. With sensors that can collect data and able to communicate on a wireless network, communication will be possible. One of the wireless networks that can monitor certain environmental conditions in different areas is the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). However, due to the small transmission capacity of WSN, the monitoring process requires a method that can reduce the size of the data sent and requires a communication module that allows low-power devices to communicate with each other. One method to perform image compression is the Huffman Algorithm. And the communication module which excels in data transmission capacity and has low power consumption is 6Lowpan. The results obtained from the data size performance test, namely the compression method can reduce the image size by 25% from the previous image size and can reduce the number of packet sizes by 78% of the number of packets before being compressed. In addition, it can be concluded that the compression method can increase the packet delivery time, but the compression method can reduce the success rate of packet delivery and the average delay time in packet transmission.

Abstract

The development of information technology today has affected all aspects of human life. There is an exchange of information every second on the internet. RESTfull API / REST API describes the embodiment of the API (application protocol interface). The REST API has a weakness in terms of security standardization for accessing data on the REST server side, this causes anyone to access, edit and delete the data contained in the REST server.MD5 is a type of Cryptographically secure hashing which has a one-way hash function. MD5 is often used to store passwords, if the cracker is able to enter and change a secret website database and then the cracker performs attacks such as SQL Injection, DDOS so that it penetrates the database and gets the password in the form of an MD5 encrypted hash then it is easy to decrypt it into plaintext to get the password. which are actually.The BLAKE2S algorithm itself was released in 2012. The BLAKE2S algorithm is built with the HAIFA iteration which has resistance to generic attacks such as herding. The BLAKE2S algorithm has a better security level than SHA-256. This research implements the BLAKE2S Algorithm for the key value caching mechanism in the REST API. The test was conducted to measure the speed of the BLAKE2S Algorithm in processing key value caching. Testing is done by running a request on the REST API twelve times to measure the caching time. The test results show that the caching time on the BLAKE2S Algorithm has a faster time than the MD5 Algorithm with a time difference of 5.6 ms.
