Abstract

Investment decision making is a process that involves investor psychology. Many events in capital market are anomalies that traditional finance cannot explain. Researchers in finance field then turn to non-economic aspects of investor psychology which causes behavioral finance to emerge. In principle, behavioral finance is a study of three fields of science, namely finance, psychology and sociology. This study aims to (1) test and explain the effect of fundamental factors on investment decision; (2) test and explain the effect of demographic informations on personality; (3) test and explain the effect of personality on investment decision; (4) test and explain the effect of demographic informations on investment decision. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire with a response rate of 72.4% (of the 500 questionnaires sent, 362 returned questionnaires that could be analyzed). Data analysis used Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GeSCA). The results showed that (1) fundamental factors had a significant effect on investment decision; (2) demographic informations had a significant effect on personality; (3) personality had a significant effect on investment decision; (4) demographic informations had a significant effect on investment decision.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of capital structure and ownership structure on financial performance and dividend policy. The study involved the manufacturing companies listed on IDX from 2012 to 2016. The data were analyzed by applying PLS (Partial Least Square). Research method used in this research was explanatory research using purposive sampling. The results of this study were: Capital Structure had a positive significant effect on Financial Performance, Capital Structure had non-significant effect on Dividend Policy, Ownership Structure had a positive significant effect on Financial Performance, Ownership Structure had non-significant effect on Dividend Policy, and Financial Performance had a positive significant effect on Dividend Policy.

Abstract

Background of this research is implementation of regional autonomy which gives broad authority to regions to manage of their own regions, including financial management. To managing local financial needed transparency and accountability and to realize it takes the control and Government Internal Control System (SPIP). Internal control plays a role overseeing government activities at the implementation of the budget and also to improve the quality of local government financial report.The purpose of this research to analyze application of Government Internal Control System in Implementation of APBD to improve quality of financial report of local government of Pangkep regency. This research uses descriptive research method with qualitative approach. Result of this research is application of SPIP in Pangkep Regency is adjusted with Annual Supervision Work Program (PKPT) Inspectorate of Pangkep Regency that determined by regent. In application of supervision activity, the surveillance apparatus of  government’s internal (APIP) began to review at planning phase that budget activity plan of  regional work unit (RKA-SKPD) review as a quality assurance in order to produce a quality APBD. SPIP is important to improve the quality of financial report because APIP oversees the financial management that will impact on the quality of financial report. In the application of SPIP in Pangkep Regency there are some factors internal and external that support and obstacles.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the stocks incorporated in the IDX30, BISNIS27, and INVESTOR33 indexes that form an optimal portfolio based on a single index model and Alpha Jensen to measure portfolio performance. The research method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach and secondary data sources from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population used is the IDX30, BISNIS27, and INVESTOR33 index stocks for the period 2017 – 2019, based on the established criteria, 19 stocks are obtained as the IDX30 sample, 14 stocks as the BISNIS27 sample, and 26 stocks as the INVESTOR33 sample. In 2017 and 2018, from the calculation of Jensen's alpha index value and the Expected Return Portfolio value based on the calculation of the Single Index Model, the BISNIS27 Index has the highest value compared to the IDX30 index and the INVESTOR33 index. While in 2019, the IDX30 Index had the highest value, and the BISNIS27 Index had the lowest value. Although the IDX30, BISNIS27, and INVESTOR33 indexes are included in one sub-classification of the liquidity index, namely those with high transaction liquidity, they have different performances.
