Abstract

One characteristics of startups compared to conventional MSMEs is the use of data. Utilization of data starts from business intelligence & analytics. The knowledge generated together with other dynamic capabilities will support each other in creating value to improve startup business performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between business intelligence & analytics, absorptive capacity, innovation ambiance, and entrepreneurial orientation towards startup business performance.Data obtained by survey distributed by email to 194 startups in West Java. PLS-SEM was used to estimate model in this study. We propose and test a model that integrates the domains of dynamic capability, knowledge management, and entrepreneurship. The main findings show that the use of BI&A has a positive association with the ability to balance competitive innovation activities, supported by entrepreneurial orientation, in turn improving startup performance.This study integrates insights gained from the application of IT value creation and dynamic capabilities perspectives to explain how the use of BI&A is associated with the ambidexterity of innovation and business performance and through entrepreneurial orientation. Salah satu ciri startup dibandingkan UMKM konvensional adalah penggunaan data. Pemanfaatan data dimulai dari business intelligence & analytics. Pengetahuan yang dihasilkan bersama dengan kapabilitas dinamis lainnya akan saling mendukung dalam menciptakan nilai guna meningkatkan kinerja bisnis startup. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara business intelligence & analytics, absorptive capacity, innovation ambidexterity, dan entrepreneurial orientation terhadap kinerja bisnis startup. Data didapatkan dari survei yang disebarkan melalui email kepada 194 startup di Jawa Barat. PLS-SEM digunakan untuk mengestimasi model dalam penelitian ini. Kami menguji model yang mengintegrasikan domain dynamic capabilities, manajemen pengetahuan, dan kewirausahaan. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan BI&A memiliki hubungan positif dengan kemampuan mengimbangi aktivitas inovasi kompetitif, didukung oleh orientasi kewirausahaan, yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan kinerja startup. Studi ini mengintegrasikan wawasan yang diperoleh dari penerapan perspektif penciptaan nilai TI dan kapabilitas dinamis untuk menjelaskan bagaimana penggunaan BI&A dikaitkan dengan innovation ambidexterity dan kinerja bisnis dan melalui orientasi kewirausahaan.

Abstract

Since 2000’s content marketing began to develop and become a buzzword lately. Nowadays, content marketing is a standard practice of business and one who do not use that will be left behind. The current democratization of information is expressed mainly through User-Generated Content (UGC), so that the media model becomes more user-centric. This study attempts to discuss the effect of UGC on consumer-based brand equity (CBBE) through involvement. UGC in this study is represented through variables that motivate it, namely co-creation, empowerment, community, and self-concept. The population in this study is Top Brand lipstick consumers who have watched the UGC of those brands. Data was collected using questionnaire that distributed online and 121 data were obtained. After analyzed using SEM PLS, the results are: 1) co-creation has positive effect on involvement; 2) self-concept has positive effect on involvement; 3) involvement has a positive effect on CBBE; 4) UGC has a substantial influence on involvement; 5) UGC and involvement have a moderate influence on CBBE. Abstract

This study uses descriptive and verificative methods. The sample in this study amounts 20 data that taken by purposive sampling technique. Collecting data uses documentation, library research, and internet research, in data managing uses regression linear analysis, analysis castellation Pearson, determination, f-test and t-test, statistic data managing uses program addition such as Excel and SPSS 20 For Windows. The study result shows that Work Capital and Debt Ratio Turnover has strong relationship through profitability. And it has influence as big as 8.40%. Then from such study result, partially correlation for work capital turnover with profitability, positive, then positive correlation value shows the relationship between revert variable. Where, if more and more small or decrease work capital turnover value, resulted profitability more and more large or high or obtained the number of profit. So that debt ratio has influence as big as 7.78%. Furthermore, from computation result determination coefficient with contribution as big as 70% while reminder 30% are influenced by other factors such as storage, fixed asset, trade cost (general & administration costs, and other costs). Abstract

CV. MM Satu Tujuan is a company engaged in the food & beverage sector located in Bandung with the main product selling martabak called Martabak MM. Martabak MM has 11 branches spread across the city of Bandung. To improve competitiveness, the company can evaluate its business model. This study aims to determine the current business model and propose a new business model for Martabak MM using the Business Model Canvas approach. This business model allows mapping using nine interconnected blocks. The steps needed to map this business model are first conducting observations and interviews to obtain data, after that, designing a Value Proposition Canvas to find out the benefits that customers expect from the products and services that customers need (fit between value proposition and customer segment). After the Value Proposition Canvas, the next step is to analyze the business environment to find out the internal strengths and weaknesses of Martabak MM and the Opportunities and threats of the external environment that are being faced, and the last step is to design a new business model to be proposed to Martabak MM using the Business Model Canvas.

Abstract

This study aims to answer two questions, namely whether social media usage affects the firm performance of Small Medium Enterprise (SME), and what factors encourage SME to use social media. Using path analysis, this study proves that social media usage has a positive significant influence on firm performance of SME. While using the Technological-Organizational-Environmental (TOE) framework, it was found that organizational factor has the greatest positive influence on social media usage. Environmental factor are the second biggest factor that encourages SME to use social media. While the technological factor is the least factor that influence SME to use social media. This research was conducted in 300 SMEs in West Java, Indonesia, and involved various business sectors ranging from food and beverage to automotive. The findings of this study contribute to the academic discussion of strategic entrepreneurship on the relationship between social media usage and firm performance. The findings of this study can also provide direction to examine how is the mechanism of the relationship between social media usage and firm performance of SME. Abstract

This research aims to find out the business models currently implemented by MSMEs and create suggestions for appropriate business model innovations for Boss Talasik MSMEs. The research method uses qualitative methods with descriptive research types. The results of this research show that there is an innovative business model that can play an important role for MSMEs along with opportunities and threats based on the results of mapping the nine blocks which are equipped with external analysis using the Value Proposition Canvas which describes the benefits according to expectations from customer wants and needs. In conclusion, the business model development of Boss Talasik MSMEs uses the Business Model Canvas approach which is equipped with Value Proposition Canvas analysis and Business Environment Analysis which can provide a new business model proposal for Boss Talasik MSMEs to support excellence in industrial competition. Abstract

Kapasitas kewirausahaan merupakan faktor penting dalam memperkuat peran pendidikan kewirausahaan dalam menumbuhkan niat berwirausaha bagi siswa sekolah. Oleh karena itu penting bagi SMK YPPS Sumedang untuk memperkuat peran pendidikan kewirausahaan yang telah dimilikinya melalui peningkatan kapasitas kewirausahaan. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kapasitas kewirausahaan yaitu melalui pelatihan kewirausahaan. Pelatihan kewirausahaan yang diberikan kepada SMK YPPS Sumedang mencakup aspek dasar dan praktikal. Aspek dasar mencakup materi seperti konsep dasar kewirausahaan, inovasi sebagai inti kewirausahaan, jenis inovasi seperti inkremental, disruptif dan inovasi model bisnis, serta paradigma efektuasi. Sedangkan aspek praktikal mencakup pemanfaatan framework design thinking dan lean startup bagi penciptaan inovasi dan pendirian usaha. Selain itu juga diberikan wawasan sesuai konteks terkini, yaitu konteks industri 5.0. Evaluasi kapasitas kewirausahaan dilakukan melalui survey kepada para peserta pelatihan dan diketahui bahwa tingkat kapasitas kewirausahaan peserta termasuk dalam kategori Tinggi. Hal ini memiliki implikasi terkait kebutuhan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan kewirausahaan dan juga perlunya pelatihan lanjutan untuk mendukung pendidikan kewirausahaan tersebut. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memberikan pengetahuan dan wawasan, atau aspek kognitif, terkait kewirausahaan dan konteks terkini kepada para peserta pelatihan. Dalam pelaksanaannya terdapat beberapa kendala yang dapat menjadi saran bagi pelaksanaan kegiatan berikutnya, antara lain yaitu terkait survey pendahuluan, jadwal pelaksanaan, dan waktu atau durasi pelatihan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada siswa SD margabakti desa pulosari pangalengan kabupaten bandung untuk meningkatkan literasi keuangan melalui storytelling dan fun games. Selain itu kegiatan ini merupakan rangkaian pengabdian kepada masyarakat bina desa pada desa, desa pulosari, pangalengan, kabupaten bandung. Seperti yang diketahui bahwa tingkat Indeks Ketahanan Ekonomi pada desa ini adalah sebesar 21% pada tahun 2023 lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan rasio lainnya, dimana salah satu indikator penilaian adalah akses kepada perbankan untuk itu pada kegiatan storytelling dan fun games ini akan diberikan edukasi tentang menabung di bank. Hasilnya adalah diketahui dari seluruh anak yang mengikuti edukasi untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan literasi keuangan yaitu sebanyak 50 orang murid belum memiliki akes kepada perbankan. Untuk itu edukasi ini menggunakan metode pemaparan dengan buku bergambar dan permainan sehingga anak-anak lebih mudah memahami maksud dan tujuan dari edukasi ini. Dapat kami simpulkan pada pelaksanaan abdimas ini anak-anak lebih nyaman menggunakan Bahasa daerah yang sering digunakan dalam Bahasa sehari-hari dimana mereka akan lebih mudah memahami maksud cerita yang diberikan terutama untuk padanan kosakata yang baru. Masukan yang kami ajukan kepada pemerintah desa, otoritas yang berwenang serpeti OJK serta industri perbankan bersama-sama mengadakan sosaliasi dengan membuka mini banking pada sekolah-sekolah yang akses perbankannya rendah, agar mereka dapat memiliki pengalaman langsung dalam menabung di bank.

Abstract

Changes in the business environment, driven by technology and globalization, increase the urgency of a strategic orientation for new ventures and, conversely, an entrepreneurial orientation for established firms. Technology startups, as "innovation machines," face unique challenges related to the environment, competition, and resource limitations. Therefore, they need to be more strategic in conducting their business. Entrepreneurial strategy is a new strategic framework specifically formulated for startups. However, the effect of this strategy on firm performance has not been confirmed. This study investigates the relationship of entrepreneurial strategy on the tech startup’s firm performance. A conceptual model was developed based on the strategic management framework, including strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation. The data was collected via an online survey and was able to gather 39 respondents, dominated by the fields of SaaS, Edutech, and health tech. The data was then analyzed using SmartPLS software. The analysis showed that entrepreneurial strategy has a positive effect on firm performance, value offering (value-based strategy), and innovation ambidexterity. Further analysis found that there was no significant mediation effect or indirect relationship. Additionally, the predictability analysis found that the structural model in this study has moderate predictability power. The results of this study contribute to the strategic entrepreneurship field by providing evidence of how entrepreneurial strategy can improve tech-startup firm performance. Lastly, the limitations in this study can provide new opportunities for future research, especially related to objects, operationalization, and conceptual models. Abstract

Small Medium Enterprise (SME) able to survive the economic crisis when many firms is unable to survive. Therefore, SME aimed to be foundation of Indonesian economic independency. However, SME is now facing some challenges by implementation of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015 and industrial revolution 4.0. From literature study, the key to answer those challenges is by adopting Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in their business. According to TOE framework, ICT adoption is affected by three factors, those are technological, organizational and environmental context. This research aimed to analyze the affect of technological, organizational and environmental context to ICT adoption in SME. This research use quantitative and explanatory method to understand the causal relationship among the factors observed. This research held in Binongjati center of knitting industry, Bandung. Population in this research is knitting SME im Binongjati that already using ICT in their business activity. The sample of this research is the owner or manager of those SME. This research analyze 97 samples and using convenient sampling method. Data of those samples then analyzed by multiple regression. This study reveal that technological, organizational and environmental context has significant effect on ICT adoption in SME.
