Abstract

This article aims to compare character education policies in primary schools in three countries namely Singapore, Japan and South Korea and the impact of these policies on primary schools in Indonesia. this article is motivated by the fact that Indonesia is one of the most populous countries in the world. This is because Indonesia has not been able to control the number of births in Indonesia. Therefore, it is necessary to strive to foster creativity by improving the quality of Education. This is because Indonesia is a developing country, it cannot be separated from the process of improving the quality of Education. This study is a diagnostic study. This writing uses doctrinal (normative) methods, and this article aims to clarify the Policy Foundation in character education. All the information that has been collected is processed by analyzing the results of the literature review by comparing the character of Education from three countries and seeing the impact on character education in Indonesian primary schools. Indonesia's education is becoming more community-centric. International education must be redeveloped in order to change for the better. Comparing the character of Primary School Education of the three countries related to education in East asia and the Pacific, recorded in the WEF World Economic Forum, Singapore ranked 11th and Japan ranked 17th. While South Korea maraih ranked 27th. The three countries are countries that have a high commitment to improving human resources through an education. While Indonesia ranked 65th out of 130 countries in the world. [Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meembandingkan kebijakan pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar di tiga negara yakni negara Singapura, Jepang dan Korea Selatan serta dampak kebijakan tersebut pada sekolah dasar di Indonesia. artikel ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa Indonesia adalah salah satu negara terpadat di dunia. Ini dikarenakan Indonesia belum mampu untuk mengontrol jumlah kelahiran di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, perlu diupayakan untuk menumbuhkan kreativitas dengan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Hal ini karena negara Indonesia merupakan negara berkembang, maka tidak dapat dipisahkan dari proses peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian diagnostik. Penulisan ini mengggunakan metode doktrinal (normatif), dan artikel ini mempunyai tujuan untuk memperjelas landasan kebijakan dalam pendidikan karakter. Semua Informasi-informasi yang telah terkumpul diolah dengan menganalisis hasil literature review dengan membandingkan karakter Pendidikan dari tiga negara dan melihat dampaknya terhadap pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar Indonesia. Pendidikan Indonesia menjadi lebih focus pada community-centric. Pendidikan internasional harus dikembangkan kembali agar bisa berubah menjadi lebih baik. Membandingkan pendidikan karakter sekolah dasar ketiga negara terkait Pendidikan di asia timur dan Pasific, tercatat di WEF World Economic Forum negara Singapura meraih peringkat ke 11 dan negara Jepang meraih peringkat ke 17. Sedangkan Korsel maraih peringkat ke 27. Ketiga Negara tersebut merupakan negara yang memiliki komitmen tinggi terhadap peningkatan SDM melalui sebuah Pendidikan. Sedangkan Indonesia meraih peringkat ke 65 dari 130 negara di dunia]

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the application of Fullday School Management at SDIT Nurul Fikri Sidoarjo in the formation of students' morals. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques are through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are the full day school management at SDIT Nurul Fikri in its application has passed several aspects in terms of Human Resources, infrastructure and facilities and the curriculum used by SDIT Nurul Fikri has met the needs of students during the implementation of learning with the Full day school system. Human Resources who are young, energetic, competent and have a high commitment to want to develop, complete and adequate infrastructure and facilities to support the needs and activities of students in this school have successfully implemented the Full day school system in improving school quality. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of Fullday School management at SDIT Nurul Fikri has been going well and has played a role in the process of forming students' morals.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of the Project Citizen Learning Model and social intelligence to the 5th and 6th graders of SD Muhammadiyah 01 Sidoarjo. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The result is that the steps in this model have been implemented by the teacher. Starting from the beginning of learning, teachers and students identify problems and seek information about public policies that exist in the community by discussing, groups will present their work and portfolios that have been made, reflecting on the learning experience at the end of the lesson. Based on the results of the questionnaire data obtained 89% of students are confident in making new friends, 97.8%. Students easily communicate with friends, 93.5% are able to communicate with other people including school workers, 79.7% help friends complete assignments, 90% are able to do school assignments well, 100% of students answer the mandate to take care of safekeeping items. With this Learning Model, not only cognitive abilities are obtained by students but the development of students' social intelligence is evident from the results of questionnaires distributed by researchers.

Abstract

During the current COVID-19 pandemic, learning that is carried out in elementary schools and madrasas iftidaiyah is online learning. The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation of online learning using audio-visual media through WhatsApp Class I MI Nurul Huda Ngampelsari and to find out what obstacles occur in online learning Class I MI Nurul Huda Ngampelsari. This research method uses descriptive qualitative method with the main data sources and supporting data. The main data sources as research subjects were first grade teachers, madrasa principals, parents, and grade I students at MI Nurul Huda Ngampesari. Data collection techniques by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis and interpretation techniques used data collection techniques, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions and data verification. From the research conducted, it was found that the learning carried out in Class I MI Nurul Huda Ngampelsari was carried out online. As well as the use of audio-visual media for online learning such as: learning videos made by class teachers or those taken by YouTube, voice messages or voice notes and using WhatsApp to send materials and assignments. In addition to using WhatsApp, the teacher also uses several kinds of applications, lesson plans, and written assignments in the form of worksheets that are collected once a month to see student activity in doing assignments. There are several obstacles in online learning, including data packages for students, the lack of enthusiasm of students in participating in online learning, and the lack of parental roles in assisting children in participating in online learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of the Arabic language teacher at MI Muhammadiyah 16 Pondok Karangasem Paciran Lamongan and to analyze the development of students' Arabic skills at MI Muhammadiyah 16 Pondok Pesantren Karangasem Paciran Lamongan. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with primary data sources in the form of interviews with teachers of MI Muhammadiyah 16 Pondok Pesantren Karangasem Paciran Lamongan. From this research, it was found that the teacher of MI Muhammadiyah 16 Pondok Pesantren Karangasem Paciran Lamongan had performed his role well. However, the method used by the teacher during learning is considered inappropriate if the use of singing to memorize mufradat is generalized to students in grades 1-6. The results of the final semester exams for students in grades 1-6 are above the minimum completeness criteria (KKM), but when viewed from the historical value that MI Muhammadiyah 16 Pondok Pesantren Karangasem Paciran Lamongan is located in a cottage environment and is under the auspices of the Muhammadiyah college, the resulting score unsatisfactory students. The scores obtained by male students were lower than those of female students. So it is necessary to upgrade the method.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning process and learning achievement achieved by students in Qur'anic Learning in Muhammadiyah Elementary School 2 Sidoarjo, Evaluating the implementation of the Qur'anic learning curriculum at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 2 Sidoarjo, Building the concept of efforts to optimize curriculum implementation in Qur'anic Learning at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 2 Sidoarjo.Based on the objectives to be achieved, this study uses a qualitative naturalist approach, with data collection methods, including: participant observation, in-depth interviews and document review. Technical data analysis uses qualitative descriptive techniques through three activities, including: reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The research findings obtained can be presented as follows: First, mastery of Qur'anic reading skills of elementary school students of Muhammadiyah 2 shows the achievement of learning skills that are still quite skilled, but there are still items in the ability to learn to read the Qur'an which need to be improved. Second, the need to improve the patterns, methods and management of learning through the revision of the Koran learning management manual, on the learning targets of the Qur'an Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo, which was validated in Surabaya, January 2012 by Koord. Bid. Al-Qur'an UF. However, not all of the material in the manual was revised. Third, in the implementation of the Qur'anic learning curriculum there are still obstacles in the form of: Less learning hours, problematic students, less skilled teachers, infrastructure facilities, status of PPQ and unclear PPQ teacher status, and teacher shortages.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the implementation of Akidah Akhlak (Moral Aqidah) learning in shaping the moral development of Grade 3 students at MI AL-KHAWATIM, Arjasa District, Sumenep Regency. The study utilizes data collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis, employing descriptive qualitative techniques for data analysis. The subjects involved in the research include students, teachers, and parents. The findings reveal that the implementation of moral aqidah learning effectively utilizes question and answer sessions, discussions, lectures, and relevant learning resources. The study highlights the advantages of this approach in shaping students' behavior and attitudes towards God, parents, teachers, and themselves. However, challenges such as classroom distractions and limited learning resources were identified. The validity of the data was tested using triangulation. The implications of this research offer insights into improving moral aqidah education and its impact on students' moral formation. Highlights: Effective implementation of moral aqidah: This study explores the successful implementation of moral aqidah learning, emphasizing the use of various teaching methods and resources. Challenges in moral aqidah education: The research highlights the drawbacks of implementing moral aqidah learning, including classroom distractions, limited resources, and potential confusion among students. Implications for moral formation: The findings of this study provide valuable insights into the significance of moral aqidah education in shaping students' behavior, attitudes, and relationships with God, parents, teachers, and themselves. Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of online learning for grade 3 students at MI MA'ARIF KEDENSARI in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this research is to examine the challenges, benefits, and overall effectiveness of online learning in a primary school setting. Qualitative methods, including observation and documentation, were employed to collect data and information. Additionally, interviews were conducted with two teachers and two students to gain insights into the implementation of online learning. The study reveals various obstacles encountered during online learning activities, such as limited access to cellphones and poor signal availability, which hindered student participation. Furthermore, through the interviews, both positive and negative aspects of online learning were identified. These findings have implications for educational institutions and policymakers, emphasizing the need for addressing technological limitations and designing effective online learning strategies for young students. The study contributes to the ongoing discourse on online education and provides valuable insights into the challenges faced during its implementation at the grade 3 level. Highlights: Limited access: The study reveals the challenges faced by grade 3 students in online learning due to limitations in cellphones and poor signal availability. Comprehensive data collection: Researchers utilized qualitative methods such as observation, documentation, and interviews with teachers and students to gather information on the implementation of online learning. Abstract

In this study, the validity test used triangulation techniques. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Candi with a total of 18 students. The results showed that: (1) Implementation of digital Al-Qur'an learning media through Qur'an learning in grade IV SD Muhammadyah 1 Candi, digital Al-Qur'an media has many versions, but the version used in SD Muhammadiyah 1 The temple uses the Indonesian Al-Qur'an, because it has a word search feature and when we write a word on the search page, the verses related to the word we are looking for will appear. With this media, students' reading of the Qur'an increases & students like digital Al-Qur'an learning media. (2) The advantages and disadvantages of digital Al-Qur'an learning media through Al-Qur'an learning in grade IV SD Muhammadiyah 1 Candi There are obstacles including, when teaching digital Al-Qur'an learning in class IV SD Muhammadiyah 1 Candi there are mostly children with special needs, therefore the learning process is very slow so that teachers find it difficult to teach digital Al-Qur'an learning. The teacher's solution is to teach a little slowly so that the children with special needs can absorb the learning conveyed by the teacher and the learning process can be resolved or run according to the purpose. The advantages of digital Al-Qur'an learning media: Make it easier for teachers for the learning process. Make it easier for teachers to use tools in the learning process.
