Abstract

This comprehensive review and meta-analysis examines the efficacy of stem cell therapy in enhancing men’s vitality while supporting national health and defense systems. Patient care records served as the primary source of data for evaluation and analysis, ensuring that real-world clinical outcomes were robustly captured. The study also evaluated the quality assurance of stem cell products cultured by the integrated Celltech Stem Cell Centre Laboratory and Banking, affirming that these products meet stringent clinical standards. Findings indicate that stem cell therapy possesses significant regenerative potential, particularly in repairing damaged cells. Notably, several patients who underwent therapy at the Celltech Stem Cell Center experienced remarkable functional recovery. These results underscore the therapeutic promise of stem cells not only for individual patient recovery but also as a strategic component in enhancing overall public health and national defense readiness.

Abstract

Background: Labor pain is one of the main complaints experienced by mothers in labor, especially during the active phase of the first stage. Breathing techniques are a non-pharmacological method that can help reduce pain perception and increase comfort. Objective:To determine the effect of breathing techniques during labor on pain intensity in mothers in the first stage of labor in the active phase. Method:This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 40 mothers in the active phase of first-stage labor, divided into an intervention group (breathing techniques) and a control group (no intervention). Pain intensity was measured using a Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Data were analyzed using paired t-tests and independent t-tests. Results:The average pain score before intervention in the treatment group was 7.35 and after intervention it was 5.10 (p=0.000). In the control group, the pain score only decreased from 7.25 to 7.10 (p=0.421). An independent t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups (p=0.000). Conclusion:Breathing techniques effectively reduce the intensity of pain in mothers in the first active phase of labor.

Abstract

Background: Many elementary school children in Indonesia still do not meet balanced nutrition guidelines, as evidenced by low fruit and vegetables consumption and high consumption of fast food. This can impact their nutritional status and long-term health. Objective: To determine the effect of a balanced nutrition health promotion program on changes in elementary school children's eating patterns. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design was conducted on 80 fourth-fifth grade elementary school students in Regency X. The sample was divided into an intervention group (n=40) and a control group (n=40). The intervention consisted of health promotion through interactive lectures, posters, and educational games for four weeks. Data were collected using a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). Data were analyzed using paired t- tests and independent t-tests. Results: There was a significant increase in healthy eating patterns in the intervention group after health promotion (p<0.05), particularly in vegetables and fruit consumption and a decrease in fast food consumption. There was no significant change in the control group (p>0.05). Conclusion: The balanced nutrition health promotion program has been positive impact on the eating habits of elementary school children. It is recommended that schools integrate nutrition promotion into the curriculum and extracurricular activities for sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the healthy lifestyle behaviors of cadets at the Faculty of Military Medicine, the Indonesian Defense University (Unhan RI) through a sociology of health perspective. The background of this study focuses on the importance of a healthy lifestyle for prospective military medical personnel, who play a strategic role in supporting national defense health. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of 30 cadets. The results indicate that cadets' healthy lifestyle behaviors are influenced by internal factors (knowledge, motivation, discipline) and external factors (military education environment, academic culture, and social support). Implementation of healthy lifestyle behaviors includes dietary regulation, regular physical activity, stress management, and adherence to military health regulations. However, barriers such as high academic workloads, limited rest time, and mental stress were also identified. The discussion of this study emphasizes that cadets' healthy lifestyle behaviors are not only the result of individual factors but also a social construct shaped by the military education system. This study suggests the need for strategies to strengthen a healthy lifestyle through educational interventions, psychosocial support, and institutional policies.

Abstract

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in Indonesia, requiring comprehensive management and strong family involvement. Families play a vital role in providing both physical care and psychosocial support to improve the quality of life of cancer patients. This community service program aimed to empower families in performing pain management and psychosocial support for cancer patients at home. The methods included interactive lectures, group discussions, demonstrations of simple pain management techniques, and psychosocial counseling. The activity was carried out in Puskesmas X, City Y, involving 25 family members of cancer patients. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires as well as participant observation. The results showed an 80% increase in family knowledge regarding pain management and emotional support for cancer patients. This activity successfully empowered families to provide holistic nursing care addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. It is recommended that similar programs be continued to strengthen community-based palliative care initiatives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the authority conflict between religion and tradition in the Ararem tradition in Biak society.Religion and tradition, as two influential normative systems, often complement each other, but in this case, a clash arises when tradition, through the Ararem tradition, dominates marriage, while the church advocates for holy matrimony. The large dowry requirement in the Ararem tradition hinders holy matrimony, causing tension between the two authorities.Using a qualitative approach and religious sociology study through the theory of authority conflict, this research reveals the dynamics of the relationship between religion and tradition and its impact on the social life of the Biak community. The study uses interviews, observations, and documentation to gather data, which is then analyzed to provide a deeperunderstanding of the imbalance between religion and tradition in marriage practices. The research was conducted in Biak Numfor, Papua.

Abstract

Preliminary National Defense Education (PPBN) is a national strategic program aimed at developing the character of the younger generation, particularly university students, as agents of change and future national leaders. This study aims to analyze the implementation of PPBN in character development for students at the Trisakti Transportation and Logistics Institute, held at the Indonesian National Armed Forces Peacekeeping Mission Center (PMPP TNI) in Sentul. This study involved 659 students participating in the four-day PPBN program, which took place from January 22–25, 2026. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with an implementation study approach, through direct observation, documentation of activities, and analysis of PPBN learning materials. The results indicate that the implementation of PPBN significantly contributed to student character development, particularly in the aspects of discipline, responsibility, nationalism, leadership, cooperation, and mental resilience. Furthermore, PPBN activities increased students' understanding of the concept of non-military national defense, particularly in the context of the strategic role of the transportation and logistics sector in national resilience. This study concludes that PPBN is effective as a character education instrument in higher education and needs to be continuously integrated into the national education system.
