Abstract

Radiation is any kind of energy transmitted without an intermediate medium. Radiant energy is generally wave-shaped, most commonly sinusoidal. There are two types of radiation: ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation. Ionizing radiation is radiation that causes the process of ejecting electrons from atoms to form ion pairs. Attention should be paid to ionizing radiation, particularly its sources, types, properties, effects, and methods of avoidance. Ionizing radiation is well known, for example radiation from X-rays. Non-ionizing radiation can occur in equipment and mobile phones. Miftaful Ulm Merilan Madrasah Tsanawaya School is in Merilan Village, Bunga District, Eastern Gresik Regency. The location of this school is far from the city center. Student health contributes to the smooth running of the educational process. There is a lack of knowledge and awareness among students and residents in Bunga district that radiation hazards affect their quality of life. A technical implementation of this training will help you address the material. Students were assessed using pretests and posttests. The mean score before the pretest was 32.7, and after listening to the material and after the posttest was 80.

Abstract

Radiation can originate from various natural and artificial sources. Ionizing radiation can impact individual health because ionization events can result in DNA damage, cell death, and harm to tissues and organs. The elderly is one of the vulnerable groups that should receive more attention regarding their health conditions. Aging is a natural phase in the human life cycle that significantly affects various aspects of life, including health and quality of life. The quality of life in the elderly can be influenced by their well-being, emotions, physical health, occupation, cognitive abilities, and social life. In connection with the radiation phenomenon that can have serious implications for the health and quality of life of individuals, including the more vulnerable elderly population, adequate knowledge about safe radiation utilization and a detailed understanding of radiation's effects and prevention become essential in maintaining their health and improving their quality of life. Community outreach activities were conducted in the form of educational seminars with the aim of increasing the elderly community's literacy regarding the effects and utilization of radiation in the Trawas District, Mojokerto Regency, over a duration of one day. It is worth noting that the Trawas District, Mojokerto Regency, has experienced an increase in its elderly population over the past few years. The results of this community outreach program have shown a positive overall progress, with an increase in participants' self-confidence in understanding the provided material and an improvement in their knowledge regarding the utilization and prevention of radiation effects. This improvement is demonstrated by the significant difference between pre-test scores (mean value: 22.82) and post-test scores (mean value: 80.82), as assessed through a statistically significant paired T-test (t value: 35,537 with p<0.001) and Wilcoxon signed-rank test (p<0.001).

Abstract

Dalam era digital yang semakin berkembang, keamanan informasi menjadi suatu aspek krusial dalam pengelolaan data, terutama di lingkungan aplikasi web. Serangan berbasis kata sandi merupakan salah satu ancaman utama yang dapat mengakibatkan akses tidak sah terhadap sistem informasi. Untuk mengatasi risiko ini, penggunaan metode enkripsi menjadi penting, dan salah satu pendekatan yang umum digunakan ialah teknik hash. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai implementasi hash pada aplikasi web sebagai langkah pencegahan serangan berbasis kata sandi. Hashing merupakan metode matematis yang digunakan untuk mengubah kata sandi menjadi nilai hash, yang sulit untuk diurai kembali menjadi kata sandi asli. Namun, penggunaan hash dalam aplikasi web seringkali tidak optimal, sehingga memerlukan peninjauan dan perbaikan dalam implementasinya. Studi ini akan melakukan analisis mendalam terhadap berbagai algoritma hash yang umum digunakan, serta mengevaluasi kelemahan dan kelebihan masing-masing. Selain itu, penelitian ini akan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor keamanan lain yang dapat memengaruhi efektivitas perlindungan kata sandi, seperti manajemen kunci, kebijakan kata sandi yang kuat, dan prosedur pemulihan akun. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penerapan metode keamanan adaptif yang dapat mengidentifikasi dan merespons secara dinamis terhadap tren serangan berbasis kata sandi terkini. Dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi kecerdasan buatan atau pembelajaran mesin, sistem dapat secara proaktif meningkatkan keamanan kata sandi berdasarkan pola-pola serangan yang terdeteksi. Melalui pendekatan ini, hasil dapat dikembangkan menjadi suatu pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai perlindungan kata sandi dalam konteks aplikasi web, serta menyusun pedoman praktis untuk meningkatkan keamanan dan mengurangi risiko serangan berbasis kata sandi. Dengan demikian, hasil dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan teknologi keamanan informasi dalam menghadapi ancaman yang semakin kompleks di era digital ini. Abstract

Noni fruit (M. citrifolia L.) is a medicinal plant known for its antioxidant bioactive compounds, which have potential use as radiation protection agents. Despite their traditional use, the specific bioactive compounds and their efficacy as radiation protectants have not been thoroughly investigated. This study aims to address this research gap by evaluating the potential of noni fruit extract as a candidate for radiation protection using in-silico methods. Databases consulted include PubChem, PASS Online, and ProTox-II. The results identified nine bioactive compounds in noni fruit extract: quercetin, kaempferol, morindin, morindone, alizarin, nicotinamide, beta-sitosterol, squalene, and n-hexadecanoic acid. Among these, kaempferol, squalene, and n-hexadecanoic acid were found to be the most potent antioxidants. Kaempferol exhibited a low toxicity level (grade 5) with significant activity as an antioxidant (Pa ≥ 0.7), free radical scavenger (Pa ≥ 0.7), and radioprotector (Pa 0.3 – 0.7). Squalene, a triterpene with low toxicity (class 5), showed antioxidant activity (Pa 0.3 – 0.7), free radical scavenger activity (Pa 0.3 – 0.7), and radioprotection (Pa 0.3 – 0.7). n-Hexadecanoic acid, a metabolite with moderate toxicity (class 4), demonstrated lower antioxidant activity (Pa ≤ 0.3), while morindin exhibited free radical scavenging and radioprotective properties. The findings suggest that kaempferol, squalene, and n-hexadecanoic acid in noni fruit extract hold promise as candidates for radiation protection, as evidenced by in-silico analysis.

Abstract

Objectives: This research was aimed to determine the distribution of dental anomaly cases on panoramic radiographs at Universitas Airlangga Dental Hospital (RSGMP). Materials and Methods: This research used a descriptive observational design with a total sampling technique from panoramic radiographic data at the Radiology Clinic of RSGMP Universitas Airlangga during 2018–2020, which had cases of dental anomalies. Results: The result showed 116 cases of dental anomalies, with more incidence in female (64%) than in male (36%). The most common dental anomaly category was the number of teeth anomalies (47.41%), followed by tooth size anomalies (29.31%), tooth shape anomalies (23.28%), and there were no cases of anomalies in tooth structure and position. The most common types of dental anomalies were microdontia (27.59%), missing teeth/agenesis (25%), supernumerary teeth (22.41%), dilaceration (16.38%), talon cusp (3.45%), taurodontism (2.59%), macrodontia (1.72%), gemination (0.86%). Conclusion: The most common cases of dental anomalies were based on their categories, namely anomalies in the number of teeth, followed by tooth size, and tooth shape.

Abstract

Akad murabahah seharusnya digunakan untuk transaksi jual-beli yang tujuannya konsumtif bagi nasabah, akan tetapi akad ini digunakan untuk pembiayaan modal usaha bagi nasabahnya. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui penerapan akad murabahah untuk pembiayaan pembelian hewan Qurban dan Untuk mengetahui manfaat penerapan akad murabahah untuk pembiayaan pembelian hewan Qurban. Metode penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BPRS Mitra Argo Usaha mengunakan akad murabahah bil wakalah. Dalam hal ini, BPRS Mitra Argo Usaha mewalahkan pembelian hewan Qurban, setelah barang secara prinsip menjadi milik bank, kemudian dilakukan akad murabahah dengan nasabah. Hal ini sesuai dengan Fatwa Dewan Syariah Nasional Nomor 04/DSN-MUI/IV/2000. Dengan menggunakan produk iB-Murabahah BPRS Mitra Argo Usaha, nasabah akan merasa tentram dan tenang karena dengan pembiayaan ini nasabah dapat terhindar dari transaksi ribawi, proses persetujuan pembiayaan cukup mudah dan cepat, selain itu nasabah juga dapat memilih langsung hewan Qurban yang diinginkan karena BPRS Mitra Argo Usaha menggunakan akad murabahah.

Abstract

Background: The parallel technique stands as a prominent method for radiographic examinations aiming to identify furcation involvement. Nevertheless, an inherent limitation lies in the frequent superimposition of the trifurcation region with tooth roots, potentially leading to inaccurate diagnoses. The Same Lingual Opposite Buccal (SLOB) technique was devised to yield radiographic images that alleviate superimposition at the trifurcation of the maxillary first molar. Purpose: to observe and compare the radiographic images of the trifurcation region of the maxillary first molar generated through the SLOB technique with the film holder modification set at a mesial and distal angulation of 20Ëš with the parallel technique. Methods: This observational analytic research encompassed a sample size of 24 instances. Each individual sample underwent three separate exposures: the SLOB technique with a horizontal angulation of 20Ëš towards both mesial and distal directions, and the parallel technique (serving as the control). Results: a significant difference in radiographic images of the trifurcation region of the maxillary first molar obtained through the SLOB technique, employing the film holder modification with a mesial angulation of 20Ëš and a distal angulation of 20Ëš, as opposed to the parallel technique (control). Conclusion: A radiographic image capturing the trifurcation of the maxillary first molar, devoid of superimposition, was successfully generated through the SLOB technique incorporating a horizontal angulation of 20Ëš towards the distal direction.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas peningkatan kemampuan public speaking siswa di MTs Darul-Amin Palangka Raya melalui program Muhadarah. Public speaking merupakan keterampilan penting yang mempengaruhi aspek akademik, profesional, dan sosial. Program ini dirancang untuk memberikan wadah bagi siswa agar dapat berlatih dan mengatasi rasa takut saat berbicara di depan umum. Metode penelitian bersifat kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan studi kasus, melibatkan pengajar dan siswa sebagai informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 75% siswa mampu berpidato dengan baik meskipun masih mengandalkan teks dan menghadapi tantangan, termasuk kurangnya rasa percaya diri. Respons positif dari siswa dan pengajar mengindikasikan manfaat signifikan dari program ini, terutama dalam konteks dakwah dan kegiatan keagamaan. Dengan demikian, diharapkan program ini dapat berlanjut dan memberikan dampak positif bagi pengembangan keterampilan komunikasi siswa di masa depan.

Abstract

Chemical laboratory wastewater contains hazardous compounds such as carcinogenic, toxic, and difficult-to-degrade substances, which can have a negative impact on the environment and human health. Therefore, the wastewater needs to be treated first before being discharged into the environment through the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) system. This research aims to develop and evaluate a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-based automatic wastewater quality monitoring system, focusing on two main parameters, namely pH value and turbidity. The system utilizes a pH sensor (SKU: SEN0161) and a turbidity sensor (SEN0189), whose measurement results are displayed in real-time through a Human Machine Interface (HMI). The main contribution of this research is the implementation of a PLC-based automatic monitoring system integrated with environmental sensors and HMI, which has been proven to replace manual laboratory testing more efficiently. The test results showed that the pH value of the treated wastewater was 6.00, in accordance with the quality standards of Permen LHK No. 68 of 2016 (range 6-9). The turbidity value was recorded at 27 NTU, close to the threshold set by Permenkes No. 32 Year 2017, which is a maximum of 25 NTU. Although the turbidity result slightly exceeds the threshold, the system still provides accurate and fast detection. A comparison with laboratory results showed that the PLC-based system provided results that were not significantly different quantitatively but more efficient in terms of response time and continuous monitoring. The system has the potential to be widely applied in laboratory wastewater management, which requires continuous and automated monitoring.

Abstract

Pengembangan sektor Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) merupakan salah satu upaya strategis untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Namun, pelaku UMKM di Malaka Jaya, Duren Sawit, Jakarta Timur menghadapi tantangan dalam memasarkan produk mereka dan mengakses informasi terkait pasar. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan aplikasi digital berbasis web yang mendukung pemetaan dan promosi UMKM. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini mencakup beberapa tahapan, yaitu survei dan observasi untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan UMKM, analisis data dan kebutuhan sistem, pengembangan aplikasi, serta uji coba dan sosialisasi kepada pengguna. Aplikasi yang dirancang memiliki fitur utama seperti direktori UMKM, pemetaan lokasi berdasarkan kategori usaha, dan layanan promosi digital. Desain aplikasi dibuat sederhana dan ramah pengguna agar dapat diakses dengan mudah oleh pelaku UMKM. Hasil dari implementasi aplikasi ini menunjukkan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan daya saing dan visibilitas UMKM di wilayah tersebut. Pelaku UMKM melaporkan peningkatan jumlah pelanggan, efisiensi strategi pemasaran, serta akses yang lebih luas ke pasar lokal dan regional. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa aplikasi digital berbasis web mampu menjadi solusi efektif untuk mendukung pengembangan UMKM melalui integrasi teknologi informasi dalam strategi pemasaran. Dengan keberhasilan ini, diharapkan aplikasi ini dapat menjadi model bagi pengembangan UMKM di wilayah lain. Kata Kunci: UMKM, Aplikasi Digital, Pemasaran, Pengembangan Ekonomi
