Abstract

This study focused on the problem of lack of interactive multimedia-based educational information media that is interesting as a provider of information about parasitic infections in humans. This parasitic infection is very dangerous, especially for children who still lack knowledge about it. The aim of this research is to provide educational information media to the wider community, especially at the Seberang Padang Health Center, about parasitic infections in a way that is as interesting as possible and easy to use. Interactive multimedia is a solution to this problem. This research uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle Method as a guide in building interactive multimedia with the stages of Concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly, Testing and Distribution. The results of the alpha test showed that all features of this interactive multimedia can function properly. A beta test was conducted on 30 respondents from the public who accompanied patients to the Seberang Padang Health Center. As a result, this interactive multimedia received a rating of 4.54 out of 5. Therefore, this interactive multimedia is very good and suitable for use as an educational medium for information about parasitic infections. With this interactive multimedia-based educational information media, it is hoped that the wider community can better understand and be aware of parasitic infections and preventive measures that can be taken to avoid these infections.

Abstract

PT. Shinari Putra Kencana adalah perusahaan yang memegang merek Hyundai yang memiliki 6 cabanng dealer yaitu Bandung, Bekasi, Lampung, Padang, Medan dan Aceh. Perusahaan yang ada di kota Padang berdiri sejak tahun 2020 yang saat ini dipimpin oleh ibuk Wewen. Hyundai sekarng ini dipegang langsung oleh Korea, ATPMnya sekarang adalah Hyundai Motor Indonesia yang bertempat di Cikarang dan sudah memiliki pabrik yang dapat merakit beberapa tipe kendaraan.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif untuk menghasilkan gambaran data yang akurat. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa pada strategi kepemimpinan harga PT. Shinari Putra Kencana Kota Padang, perusahaan melakukan strategi bersaing  dengan menawarkan harga yang murah dari  pesaing  lain. Memberikan harga yang dapat dijangkau  oleh masyarakat yang ingin memiliki kendaraan. PT. Shinari Putra Kencana Kota Padang juga menekan biaya overhead pada barang dan jasa agar  pembeli tidak beralih ke pesaing lain. Strategi diferensiasi PT. Shinari Putra Kencana Kota Padang menawarkan produk Hyundai yang memiliki biaya perawatan  yang lebih rendah, jasa pelayanan yang lebih baik, perawatan yang tidak memakan waktu lama dan oncderdil yang tidak susah untuk mendapatkannya atau langka , kenyamanan yang lebih besar dalam produk serta  fitur produk dan pelanan yang lebih banyak. Pada strategi fokus. PT. Shinari Putra Kencana Kota Padang fokus pada keunggulan  produk pada beberapa tipe yang dapat membedakan Hyundai dengan pesaing lain seperti fitur-fitur yang ada di dalam mobil (ventilated seat, wireless charger, Air purifier ini mampu membersihkan udara yang ada di dalam kabin dari debu dan kotoran, ruang interior yang luas dan nyaman), desain mobil, dan kenyamanan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze how much influence product development and product quality control have on sales volume at PT Yakult in Indarung District, Padang City. Descriptive quantitative research method with a sample of 100 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in the study were questionnaires and data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression, t test, F test and coefficient of determination. Based on multiple linear analysis obtained Y = 12.785 + 0.319 + 0.192 X2 + e. Based on the t test analysis, it is found that product development (X1) has a positive and significant effect on the sales volume of yakult products in Indarung District, Padang City, then product quality control (X2) has a positive and significant effect on the sales volume of these products. The results of the F test prove that, product development and product quality control together have a positive and significant effect on consumer sales volume on yakult products in Indarung District, Padang City. The coefficient of determination test results get an Adjusted R-Square value of 60.6% and the remaining 39.4% which is explained by other variables such as price, marketing strategy, distribution, service.

Abstract

Penilaian Angka Kredit (PAK) dosen merupakan bentuk evaluasi terhadap kinerja dosen dalam pelaksanakan tridharma perguruan tinggi. Setiap kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh dosen dalam pelaksanaan tridharma perguruan tinggi memiliki nilai angka kredit (kum) bagi dosen sehingga dalam perhitungan keseluruhan nilai yang dikumpulkan oleh dosen dapat diajukan untuk kenaikan pangkat/jabatan akademik dosen yang merupakan jabatan keahlian seorang dosen. Sistem dan mekanisme pengusulan kenaikan pangkat/jabatan dosen dilakukan secara online bagi dosen-dosen Universitas Tamansiswa (Unitas) Padang yang berada dilingkungan LLDIKTI Wilayah X. Untuk memastikan dosen-dosen Unitas dapat mengoperasikan sistem PAK Online dan pegusulan kenaikan pangkat/jabatan dosen terutama bagi dosen-dosen baru yang berasal dari prodi-prodi baru dilingkungan Unitas Padang dapat berjalan dengan baik, maka dilaksanakanlah kegiatan pelatihan Pengusulan jabatan fungsional melalui aplikasi Penilaian Angka Kredit (PAK) Online. Dari hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan pada kegiatan pelatihan dimaksud, teridentifikasi adanya perkembangan yang positif dan signifikan dari peserta terkait dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menggunakan aplikasi PAK online ini sehingga dosen-dosen tersebut rata-rata sudah mengusulkan jabatan fungsional dan saat ini tidak ada lagi dosen Universitas Tamansiswa Padang yang tidak memiliki jabatan fungsional.

Abstract

The product innovation enters the next stage in the product development process series towards commercialization. As a product during its development period, it is necessary to carry out market research to determine consumer preferences and perceptions, to become the basis for business analysis and improvement. This activity is carried out through deep interviews with inventors, product / sample tests and simulations, surveys and observations on the market and its segmentation. Market research techniques are used by searching, gathering, and analyzing information about consumers or markets that are appropriate for the business they run. In addition to product quality through understanding the needs and tastes of consumers, another thing that also builds consumer ratings of products is perception. Positioning is the initial analysis to build perception in the minds of consumers. This activity aims to obtain market research documents to determine consumer perceptions about innovation products after consuming the product so that it can be used as a reference for product improvement before commercialization. This activity also aims to help to analyze positioning and design marketing strategies for the next stage. Understanding consumer needs and creating products that are able to meet the needs and solve consumer problems are the keys to successful product commercialization. This activity carried out market research on 7 Andalas University innovation products on food and beverage category with 100 respondents for each of their products spread across the West Sumatra region. This activity produces product market research documents that can be used by each inventor and developer of each product to develop and commercialize their products.

Abstract

Bullying in high school is frequent and negatively affects students' psychological well-being. The lack of effective reporting mechanisms makes students hesitant to report bullying cases for fear of their identity being exposed, which can lead to stigma or retaliation. The lack of data on bullying incidents also hampers prevention and intervention measures. The study designed and implemented a mobile application that uses natural language processing (NLP) for speech-to-text conversion, enabling anonymous and convenient reporting of bullying cases. The app ensures the anonymity of whistleblowers and facilitates the collection of accurate data on bullying incidents, helping schools respond with appropriate preventive measures. Software engineering methodologies are used with a focus on requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and application testing. NLP technology is used to interpret verbal instructions into text, with the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method for text classification, ensuring high accuracy in detecting bullying incidents. The trial application in several high schools showed the relevance and effectiveness of the application. Ethical and security considerations are top priorities, with an emphasis on whistleblower identity protection and data security. The test results showed that the application achieved 92% accuracy, 90% precision, and 88% recall, demonstrating its effectiveness in collecting bullying reports anonymously and accurately.

Abstract

Sexual violence in the campus environment is a serious problem that requires an effective reporting and handling system. This research aims to develop a Natural Language Processing (NLP)-based system that can improve the process of reporting and handling cases of sexual violence on campus. The methodology used includes the application of NLP techniques such as sentiment analysis and entity recognition to automate the identification and handling of reports. The Support Vector Machines (SVM) algorithm is used for the classification of text in this system. The data is collected from various sources, pre-processed, and used to train NLP models. The results of the study show that the system developed has an accuracy level of 91%, precision of 93%, and recall of 87%, which illustrates its effectiveness in collecting reports of sexual violence anonymously and accurately. Feedback from early adopters shows that the system improves the efficiency and accuracy of the reporting process. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of NLP can significantly improve the reporting and handling system of sexual violence on campus. Further research is suggested to expand the scope of the system and improve its analysis capabilities.

Abstract

The rapid digital transformation has fundamentally altered the retail industry, presenting challenges such as shifting consumer behavior and intensified market competition. This research explores the application of the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm for identifying consumer behavior and developing product personalization systems based on big data insights. Utilizing a dataset comprising 10,000 transaction records from January to December 2023 and 5,302 product types, we implemented the KNN algorithm to predict consumer purchases. The data was processed into 89,908 distinct transaction records. Our evaluation, using 5-fold cross-validation, demonstrated that the optimal performance of the KNN model was achieved with ????=10, yielding a precision of 0.8319, recall of 0.8311, and an F1-score of 0.8312. These findings highlight the effectiveness of KNN in enhancing consumer satisfaction through precise product recommendations. This study provides strategic insights for modern retailers aiming to leverage AI and big data to remain competitive and meet evolving consumer expectations.

Abstract

Pada umumnya para nelayan di Batam telah beralih dari menangkap ikan dengan kapal pukat menjadi nelayan yang menggunakan keramba jaring untuk membudidayakan Ikan Bawal Bintang.Keramba adalah nama kolam ikan yang terbuat dari jaring untuk menampung ikan hasil budidaya, masalah yang sering terjadi pada Ikan Bawal Bintang. kasus penyakit yang disebabkan oleh berbagai sebab. Dan masih banyak ketidaktahuan nelayan akan jenis penyakit yang menyerang Ikan Bawal Bintang tersebut yang mengakibatkan nelayan tidak mengetahui cara pengobatan dan pencegahan terhadap penyakit tersebut. Karena permasalahan tersebut maka penggunaan metode case-based reasoning (CBR) memberikan solusi berupa sistem pakar, dimana metode tersebut menggunakan kemiripan dari setiap penyakit ikan yang akan diteliti. Tujuan akhir dari penelitian ini yaitu nilai persentase kesamaan serta saran berupa saran dan solusi yang akan dilaksanakan oleh para nelayan. Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membekali mahasiswa tingkat akhir strategi efektif pengelolaan data skripsi/tugas akhir melalui pemanfaatan konsep database pribadi sederhana. Penulisan skripsi atau tugas akhir seringkali menjadi tantangan, terutama dalam hal pengelolaan volume data, referensi, dan catatan penelitian yang kompleks. Tanpa sistem yang terstruktur, mahasiswa rentan mengalami kesulitan dalam melacak informasi, melakukan sitasi yang benar, dan menghindari plagiarisme. Program ini fokus pada penerapan aplikasi Mendeley sebagai studi kasus, sebuah tool manajemen referensi yang berfungsi layaknya database pribadi untuk literatur ilmiah. Melalui pendekatan praktis, peserta akan diajarkan teknik pengumpulan dan penataan data yang sistematis, cara mengimpor dan mengelola referensi secara efisien, serta memanfaatkan fitur sitasi dan pembuatan daftar pustaka otomatis yang disediakan oleh Mendeley. Diharapkan, dengan penguasaan keterampilan ini, mahasiswa dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas proses penulisan skripsi/tugas akhir mereka, sehingga menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang lebih terstruktur, akurat, dan berintegritas
