Abstract

The problem faced in learning the Plant Anatomy course is that the time allocation provided is still not sufficient to achieve the planned competency target. So we need a teaching material that can make time and learning objectives more effective. Before compiling teaching materials, lecturers need to analyze the needs for developing teaching materials. So that the teaching materials developed are in accordance with the needs of users. Based on this background, I conducted a research entitled "Analysis of the need for the development of teaching materials for the Plant Antaomi course at the Biology Education Study Program, Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin University". This study aims to determine the student's needs for the development of teaching materials for the Plant Anatomy course. The results of this study are expected to be a motivation in developing plant anatomy learning materials that are in accordance with the needs of students so that they can motivate and support the effectiveness of course learning objectives. This research belongs to the type of descriptive research. The object of this research is the class of 2021 semester 2 students as many as 14 people. The data collection technique was carried out through observation sheets and questionnaires which were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that most students need learning materials in the form of textbooks in printed, colored, and can facilitate them to be more active in learning, independent learning and can flow their creativity

Abstract

The government strives to realize development in the field of health as a whole, integrated and affordable by all levels of society through the "back to nature" program, supporting the government's efforts, one of which is by collecting data on the types of traditional medicinal plants. Lubuk Tarok District has a diversity of traditional medicinal plants. To find out the types of plants that are used as traditional medicine and their uses in traditional medicine in Lubuk Tarok Subdistrict, Sijunjung Regency, the authors conducted a study in Lubuk Tarok Subdistrict in Agurtus-September 2004. This research is descriptive by using a population of all types of plants that are used as traditional medicine in Lubuk Tarok District. Samples taken in the form of plants used as traditional medicine are known from the results of interviews with commonly known shamans and housewives over 50 years of age in the three kenagarians namely Kenagarian Lalan, Kenagarian Lubuk Tarok, and Kenagarian Buluh Kasok.The results of the study found 117 types of plants that were used as traditional medicines including 45 tribes and 103 genera with their habitus of 42 types of herbs, 38 species of shrubs, 30 species of trees, 2 types resembling trees, 4 types of calmus and 1 type of calamus. which have been cultivated are 63 species and 43 species have been used in the pharmaceutical industry while 54 species are wild. These traditional medicinal plants are used in the treatment of diseases categorized into 31 types of diseases, and are generally used in the form of herbs. The most used organ is leaves.

Abstract

Fun learning can increase students' learning desires. The game allows active participation both between students and teachers and vice versa, also between students and other students. Therefore we want to develop creativity and innovation talent to develop new games that can make students able to play while learning with the title "Development of Biology KOPER for Classification of Living Things in Middle School." The purpose of this study is to determine the validity and practicality. biology game media box for developed Living Classification material. This type of research is a research and development (Research and Development), using the product development model ADDIE (Analystys Desing Development Implementation Evaluation). The instruments used were questionnaire validity and practicality questionnaire. The test subjects in the study were 12 junior high school students at the Kamil learning house. Based on the analysis of the validity data of 3 validators, the average percentage of validity values is 90% with very valid criteria. Whereas the data from the practical questionnaire showed that the average percentage of practicality was 90% and included in the category of very practical. Based on these data it can be concluded that the learning media of biology game boxes is valid and practical to be used in studying the classification of living things in junior high schools.

Abstract

The results of the assessment of learning activities in the Biology learning program development course in odd semesters of the 2016-2017 school year show that students often have difficulties in learning implementation plans, some of the difficulties experienced by students such as difficulties in compiling competency achievement indicators, identifying models or methods that are suitable for learning materials, and apply models or methods in learning activities. The various challenges faced by students in preparing lesson plans were also accompanied by various changes that occurred in the 2013 curriculum. The results of the 2013 curriculum study in 2017 combined Strengthening Character Education, Literacy, 21st Century Skills which is termed 4C (Creative, Critical thinking, Communicative, and Collaborative), and HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) in the teacher planning process. Based on that, I conducted research on Design Development Guidebooks for Developing Learning Implementation Plans Integrated with 21st Century Skills. This research included qualitative research which was analyzed descriptively. The results of this study are in the form of an initial design product of the guidebook which consists of 3 components including: 1) Introduction, this section contains the background, objectives, scope and method of using the guidebook; 2) Learning Activities, consisting of 10 learning activities, each of which contains learning outcomes, material descriptions, assignments/exercise and summaries; 3) Cover.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes Biology of second grade MIA SMA Negeri 1 Kota Solok requires teachers to look for alternatives to increase student learning outcomes by creating a warm learning atmosphere between students and teachers so that good communication. One of- the ways that can be used is the Cooperative Learning Model Articulation with Student Worksheet (LKS). The problem of this research is "Is there a learning effect of Cooperative Learning Model Articulation with LKS on learning outcomes Biology second grade of MIA SMA Negeri 1 Solok?". This study aims to determine the is there a learning effect of Cooperative Learning Model Articulation with LKS on learning outcomes Biology second grade of SMA Negeri 1 Kota Solok. The hypothesis of this study is the influence of the use of Cooperative Learning Model Articulation with LKS on student learning outcomes Biology class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Solok. This research is experimental. The Population in this research is in the second grade of MIA SMA Negeri 1 Kota Solok registered in 2015/2016 totalling 244 people. The technique sampling was conducted as random sampling. Samples selected as the experimental class is the second grade of MIA 4 with several students 36 people using Cooperative Learning Model Articulation with LKS, and the control class is the second grade of MIA 5 with some students are 36 people using Cooperative Learning Model Articulation without LKS. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the z test obtained, z calculate = 1,93 and z table = 1,78, so z calculate > z table at a confidence level of 95%, which means that H0 rejected and H1 accepted. the biology student learning outcomes using Cooperative Learning Model Articulation with LKS are better than Cooperative Learning Model Articulation without LKS.

Abstract

During the learning process often encountered lack of activity, interest and motivation of students. Students tend to be individual in learning, students are not trained to work together with other friends, it can be seen from each execution group discussions. In addition to the learning process of teachers tend to use the lecture method monotonous, accept what is described by teachers that have an impact on student learning outcomes much lower. The formulation of the problem in this study whether learning SQ3R with guess the word effect on learning outcomes in class XI SMAN 3 Kota Solok?. This study aimed to determine the effect of learning SQ3R with guess the word on learning outcomes biology in class XI SMAN 3 Kota Solok. The hypothesis in this study is SQ3R with guess the word affect the biology of learning outcomes in class XI SMAN 3 Kota Solok. Data analysis was conducted of student learning outcomes obtained zcount = 2,10 and ztable = 1,67 indicates that the zcount > ztable then H0 is rejected hypothesis H1 is accepted at 95 % confidence level. It can be concluded that the learning SQ3R with guess the word the biology of learning outcomes SMAN 3 Kota Solok, where the average value of the class with the learning SQ3R with guess the word is higher than the learning SQ3R without using guess the word.

Abstract

This literature study research aims to determine the use of CBL in Science Education. The method used in writing this journal is a literature review beginning with determining the topic, namely Case Based Learning in Science Education, then determining keywords to search for the journal, the keywords used include: Case Based Learning, Case Method in Science Education, Journal search is limited year from 2014-2023. Journal consists of national and international journals, in English and Indonesian. The result obtained by the CBL learning model can improve student learning achievements. Achievements that have increased include critical thinking skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and cognitive abilities. The development of learning media in the form of CBL-Based modules, Vidio, e-Book, Flipbook, and books also has good practical value and validity.
