Abstract

Drought stress affected growth and decreases rice yield. The use of high yielding varieties and drought tolerance is a strategic step that can be applied during drought stress. The aim of this research was to examine the response of the growth of IPB 4S rice varieties on planting media with drought stress during vegetative phase. The research used a nonfactorial Completely Randomized Design with six levels: field capacity, 10% of field capacity, 20% of field capacity, 30% of field capacity, 40% of field capacity, and 50% of field capacity. The treatments were repeated three times. The growth parameters were plant high, number of tiller, leaf color, leaf area, root length, root dry weight, canopy dry weight, and biomass. The results showed that the drought stress significantly different to leaf area, root length, canopy dry weight, and biomass but were not significantly different to plant height, number of tiller, leaf color, dan root dry weight. Increased of drought stress 30 to 50% of field capacity decreased of leaf area, canopy dry weight, and biomass, but increased root length.

Abstract

Penggunaan insektisida masih dijadikan sebagai metode andalan dalam mengendalikan S. litura yang menyerang berbagai tanaman budidaya. Di sisi lain terdapat banyak metode pengendalian yang dapat dilakukan salah satunya adalah dengan pemanfaatan agens hayati berupa entomopatogen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan cendawan Lecanicilium lecanii terhadap larva S. litura pada skala laboratorium. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan Desember 2019 sampai dengan April 2020 di Laboratorium Satuan Pelayanan BPTPH Wilayah V Tasikmalaya. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 taraf perlakuan diantaranya 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, dan 25 g L-1 yang diulang empat kali sehingga terdapat 24 unit percobaan.  Adapun variabel yang diamati adalah mortalitas dan konsumsi pakan serta perubahan fisik larva. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan 25 g L-1 merupakan perlakuan paling efektif yang mengakibatkan mortalitas larva S. litura sebesar 70% dengan konsumsi pakan larva terendah sebanyak 0.25 gInsecticides are still used as a main  method in controlling S. litura. On the other hand, many control methods can be used, one of which is the use of biological agents in the form of entomopathogens. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the fungus Lecanicilium lecanii against S. litura larvae on a laboratory scale. This research was carried out from December 2019 to April 2020 at the BPTPH Service Unit Region V Tasikmalaya Laboratory. The design was a completely randomized (CRD) with 6 treatment levels 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 g L-1. The variables observed were mortality, feed consumption as well as physical changes of larvae. The results showed that L6 treatment was the most effective treatment, resulting in larval mortality of 70% with the lowest larval feed consumption of 0.25 g.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the hadith regarding black cumin plants. This research method is a qualitative type through literature and field studies with the takhrij and syarah hadith approaches. The results and discussion of this research is that black cumin is an antidote for all diseases according to the hadith of the Prophet SAW with a lot of ingredients in it. The conclusion of this research is takhrij and syarah hadith about black cumin with agrotechnology analysis found as an antidote for every disease except death.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad regarding agrotechnology. This research method is a qualitative type through literature study and field studies with the takhrij and syarah hadith approaches. The results and discussion of this study is to determine the quality of soil that is good for farming. The conclusion of this research is takhrij and syarah hadith of the Prophet. about soil quality with agro-technology analysis to find out how quality soil features so as to reduce failure in farming.

Abstract

The research aimed to discuss the hadith about olives. This research method is a qualitative type through literature and field studies with the Takhrij and Syarah approaches. The results and discussion of this research is on the role of olives which from the time of the Prophet became a tree rich in benefits ranging from stems, leaves, fruit and oil. The conclusion of this study is the takhrij and syarah of the Prophet about olive trees have fruit, leaves and oil that can be used as anti-infection in internal organs, such as kidneys, bile, and contain colloid compounds that can kill cancer cells.

Abstract

The most strategy to control Spodoptera frugiperda in Indonesia is using synthetic pesticides. Synthetic pesticides for pests control are causing many negative effects. The use of biopesticide can be an environmentally friendly solution to control S. frugiperda. In line with the Vision and Mission of Universitas Perjuangan Tasikmalaya to develop local wisdom, it is necessary to study the potential of some local plants as vegetable pesticides against S. frugiperda. Result of field observations obtained three plants suspected of having potential as vegetable pesticide, including: Annona muricata, Chromolaena odorata, and Tinospora cordifolia. This study aims to test the bioactivity of the three plant extracts against larval mortality, antifeedants, and development inhibition of S. frugiperdalarvae. The test was carried out with the residue method on the feed withno-choice test. Each plant extract was tested with a concentration of 1%, 2%, 3%, and one control treatment. Each treatment used 10 larvae of S. frugiperdasecond instar and repeated three times. The best control potential was shown by A. muricata 3% extract. Extract A. Muricata 3% can control S. frugiperda with a larval mortality value of 83.33 ± 5.77%, antifeedant activity by 91.11%, and inhibits larval development up to 3.84 days.

Abstract

Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is one of the horticultural commodities that is widely consumed by the public. One of the potato-producing areas in West Java is Pangalengan, Bandung Regency. One of the important factors that influence the success of cultivation is the provision of land according to the needs for the growth and development of potato plants. This technical note was made as a means of information regarding technical land management for potato cultivation at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level. The methods used to obtain information include observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results of the observation and interview activities show that land preparation for the preparation of potato cultivation is included in conventional land management techniques (maximum tillage). Land preparation activities carried out include loosening the soil, applying dolomite, applying basic fertilizer, applying insecticides, making beds, installing mulch, and making planting holes.

Abstract

Spodoptera litura is a polyphagous pest and attack many families of cultivated plants, such as chili plants. Application of synthetic pesticides is still the mainstay for controlling this pest in the field. To support eco-friendly plant protection management, it is important to explore potential natural materials such as garlic extract. This research aims to determine the potential of garlic extract in controlling S. litura on chili plants, and to see its indirect effect on chili yield. The research was carried out in two sites, in the laboratory and the field. The experiment used a completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The concentrations of garlic extract, i.e., control (0%), 24%, 26%, 28%, 30%, and 32%. The results showed the application of garlic extract had a significant effect on the mortality of S. litura, the frequency of attacks, and the intensity of pest attacks in the field, and had an effect on the variable number of fruit and fruit weight of chili plants. The LC50 and LC90 values reached 19.66% and 29.97% in the laboratory, and 28.30% and 34.3%% in the field, respectively. The LT50 and LT90 values from the 32% garlic extract in the laboratory were respectively 3.37 and 7.23 days. The application of garlic extraction affected growth and yield, i.e. healthy leaves, number of fruits, and weight of fruits in chili. The garlic extract is potentially used as an organic pesticide to suppress the S.litura attacks while keeping the plant's growth and yield.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan T. viride sebagai PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) dapat berperan sebagai mikroorganisme yang dapat meningkatkan kesuburan tanah. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September hingga Desember 2022 yang bertempat di lahan percobaan Universitas perjuangan Tasikmalaya dan proses penanaman isolat dilaksanakan di Laboratorium BPTPH Wilayah V Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dosis T. viride yang efisien untuk pertumbuhan cabai merah, mengetahui pengaruh T. viride pada fase vegetatif dan generatif pada budidaya tanaman cabai merah, persentase hambatan T. viride sebagai PGPR terhadap Fusarium oxysporum secara in vitro, serta mengetahui efektivitas T. viride sebagai PGPR bagi tanaman cabai merah. Perlakuan yang diujikan dalam penelitian merupakan variasi dosis T. viride, di antaranya T0 (0 g), T1 (2,5 g), T2 (5 g), T3 (10 g), T4 (15 g), dan T5 (20 g). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan ialah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan T5 memperoleh hasil lebih unggul pada beberapa parameter seperti tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, panjang akar, jumlah buat, bobot buah, dan persentase hambatan jamur. Aplikasi T. viride sebagai PGPR efektif terhadap fase vegetatif dan generatif tanaman.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Cendawan L. lecanii adalah salah satu agens hayati yang sangat potensial untuk dimanfaatkan dalam pengendalian beberapa hama dan penyakit tanaman. Percobaan ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Satuan Pelayanan Balai Perlindungan Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura Wilayah V Tasikmalaya Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktor tunggal dengan 6 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, yaitu Konsentrasi L. lecanii : P0 (Kontrol), P1 (5 g.L-1), P2 (10 g.L-1), P3 (15 g.L-1), P4 (20 g.L-1), P5 (25 g.L-1). Variabel yang yang diamati yaitu mortalitas, konsumsi pakan larva c. pavonana, perilaku larva yang terinfeksi, lama waktu kematian larva. Perlakuan yang menunjukan hasil optimal ada pada perlakuan P5 (Konsentrasi L. lecanii 25 g.L-1) dengan nilai mortalitas 82%, konsumsi pakan 1.23 g.perlakuan-1, lama waktu kematian 1.8 HSA dan perilaku larva yang terinfeksi yaitu C. pavonana mengalami perubahan warna, yang awalnya berwarna kuning berubah menjadi warna hitam. Tubuh larva menjadi keras, karena semua jaringan dan cairan dalam tubuh larva habis oleh cendawan L. lecanii, lalu secara perlahan diselimuti oleh miselium.
