Abstract

Perencanaan pondasi tiang memerlukan data penyeledikan tanah.

Abstract

The foundation is one of the essential elements in a construction. Therefore, during the process of designing, meticulous design becomes important. This involves a careful consideration of soil investigation and upper structure data. Apart from these two aspects, the selection of the appropriate foundation type, dimensions, and depth are also crucial factors to consider during process of designing. Hence, in this research the analysis of the bearing capacity of pile foundations is conducted with variations in dimensions of 500, 600, and 800 to obtain effective and suitable dimensions for the case study area of the Solo-Kertosono toll road. Additionally, this study includes an analysis of the efficiency of pile by calculating the bearing capacity, settlement and the cost and time estimation plan. In summary, the result of this research indicate that the most effective and suitable dimension is a foundation with a diameter of 800 mm.

Abstract

Pacal Dam is infrastructure used for irrigation purposes for the Bojonegoro community. However, in 2014 there was heavy rain and it triggered a landslide on the right side of the support cliffspillway. Therefore, this research was carried out to determine the condition of the slopes of the Pacal Dam project in existing conditions and to find out safe alternatives for handling it as planned. With assistive programsPlaxis can find out the safety value of the slope in its existing condition and when handling is carried out. The safety value when existing conditions have a less safe value, namely 1.1061 or less than 1.50. Therefore, handling is carried out by adjusting the slope of the slope (cut and fill) and strengthening by usingSoil Nailing. Safety value when excavating and filling (cut and fill) of 2.1179 which means it is safe. And for security value with reinforcementSoil Nailing The security value is 2.9407, with long planningnail 10 meters, vertical horizontal distance 1 meter, and with a slope of 15. From the slope results, both treatments met the planned standard safety value of 1.5. Therefore, slope strengthening can be used as an alternative for handling slope stability.

Abstract

Abstract

The reclamation project of Triangle Island within the Java Integrated Industrial Port Estate (JIIPE) necessitates the installation of driven deep foundations in soft clay deposits adjacent to existing oil and gas pipelines. The pile driving process induces lateral soil deformation and ground vibration, posing a severe threat to pipeline integrity. This study evaluates the geotechnical impacts of pile driving and proposes effective mitigation measures. The structural viability of the foundation was initially validated using the Nakazawa method with corrected parameters for bearing capacity, alongside immediate settlement analysis using the Bowles equivalent raft approach for a 37-meter deep, 600 mm diameter steel pipe pile group. Subsequently, two-dimensional numerical modeling using finite element methods was conducted to simulate lateral soil displacement and ground vibration generated by a Junttan HHK 7A hydraulic impact hammer. Several mitigation scenarios, primarily focusing on pre-boring configurations, were analyzed. The unmitigated numerical results demonstrate that stress and lateral displacement around the pipeline approach or exceed allowable design limits. However, the implementation of optimized pre-boring significantly attenuates soil heave and vibration response, keeping pipeline deformations within safe operational thresholds. These findings provide a robust

Abstract

Construction of embankments on soft soil often encounters stability issues due to low shear strength and high compressibility, particularly when the loading rate is not properly controlled. This study aims to analyze the effect of embankment loading rate on lateral deformation behavior of soft soil improved using preloading combined with Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVD). The research is based on a case study of the Pekanbaru–Padang Toll Road STA 10+400. The methodology involves numerical analysis using the Finite Element Method (FEM), preceded by manual calculations to determine staged loading scenarios with target degrees of consolidation. Three loading rates were evaluated, namely 0,2; 0,3 and 0,4 m/week. The analysis focuses on settlement, safety factor, and lateral deformation. The results indicate that all loading rate variations produce similar final settlements (approximately 3,7 m) and meet the required degree of consolidation. However, significant differences are observed in lateral deformation and stability. Lower loading rates result in smaller lateral deformation and higher safety factors, indicating improved stability performance. Conversely, higher loading rates generate greater excess pore water pressure, leading to increased lateral deformation and reduced stability margins. It can be concluded that controlling the loading rate plays a critical role in minimizing lateral deformation and ensuring embankment stability on soft soil. A lower loading rate is more effective in providing sufficient time for consolidation and strength gain, thereby improving overall performance.
