Abstract

The past oil and natural gas drilling activities have been presumed to cause a Mud Volcano phenomenon. The Mud Volcano potentially danger its surroundings, including the inhabitants. Thus, mapping the zone will be essential to have a mitigation plan. One of the potential Mud Volcanoes is the Gunung Anyar Mud Volcano. By using a resistivity survey, this research aims to obtain the subsurface structure of the Gunung Anyar Mud Volcano. The results show that very low resistivity values are located at the top of the soil structure with 0 to 4 meters depth. This soil structure is believed to be a manifestation of a mud volcano in the form of moistened clay associated with salt water. At subsequent depths, 4 to 5.5 meters from the top, is a layer of sandy clay. It is characterized by moderate to high resistivity values. At a depth of 5.5 to 10.5 meters, the resistivity value is very high. This sandstone layer is most likely a native subsoil formation in the Gunung Anyar area.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan pendayagunaan dan mentoring pengolahan limbah organik rumah tangga pada jurnal ini merupakan bentuk tindak lanjut dari kegiatan penyuluhan yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya (Perwitasari dkk., 2021). Dengan menggunakan metode ringkas yang irit lahan, masyarakat Kelurahan Gebang Putih telah mampu mengolah limbah organik sederhana menjadi kompos siap guna dengan menggunakan EM4 sebagai bioaktivator. Metode yang dikembangkan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah melalui metode mentoring secara online dengan kader PKK yang ada di Kelurahan Gebang Putih, Surabaya.  Meski mentoring tidak bisa dilakukan secara langsung, kader PKK bersama perwakilan warga telah berhasil mendayagunakan sampah organik rumah tangga sebagai kompos organik. Kegiatan ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan nilai guna limbah organik menjadi semakin bernilai ekonomis. Warga menjadi lebih hemat karena tak perlu lagi membeli kompos jika ingin bercocok tanam. Harapannya, kelak kompos akan menjadi salah satu peluang ekonomi yang menjanjikan bagi warga Kelurahan Gebang Putih. Kata Kunci: pendayagunaan; mentoring; EM4.ABSTRACTThe utilization and mentoring activities for simple organic waste processing in this journal are a form of follow-up to the counseling activities that have been carried out previously (Perwitasari et al., 2021). By using a compact method that saves land, the people of Gebang Putih Village have been able to process simple organic waste into ready-to-use compost using EM4 as a bioactivator. The method developed in this service activity is through an online mentoring method with PKK cadres in Gebang Putih Village, Surabaya. Although mentoring cannot be done directly, PKK cadres together with community representatives have succeeded in utilizing household organic waste as organic compost. This activity is proven to be able to increase the use value of organic waste to become more economically valuable. Residents become more efficient because they no longer need to buy compost if they want to grow crops. It is hoped that in the future compost will become a promising economic opportunity for residents of Gebang Putih. Keywords: development; mentoring; EM4.

Abstract

Penetian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kristalinitas terhadap stabilitas termal komposit termoplastis dengan pengisis silika xerogel. Polimer yang digunakan adalah polietilena glikol (PEG 4000) yang merupakan polimer termoplastis. Silika xerogel diekstraksi melalui proses alkali fusion. Silika xerogel yang didapatkan menunjukkan fasa amorf melalui X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). Silika xerogel ditambahakan ke dalam PEG 4000 dengan komposisi yang bervariasi, yaitu, 0, 5, 10, dan 20%. Penambahan silika xerogel menurunkan tingkat kristalinitas komposit karena PEG murni merupakan material semikristalin. Melalui analisis termal menggunakan Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), pengaruh kristalinitas komposit tampak jelas pada daerah sebelum polimer mengalami transisi leleh. Namun, pada daerah dekomposisi (T>400°C), pengaruh kristalinitas pada komposit tidak ada lagi. Hasil ini sangat menarik dikarenakan massa dekomposisi akhir menunjukkan nilai yang sama dengan komposisi silika xerogel yang ditambahkan, misalnya pada penambahan 20%, massa yang tersisa setelah dekomposisi adalah 20,77982 %. Oleh karenanya, analisis kristalinitas sangat mendukung hasil analisis termal dengan TGA pada komposit.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPersiapan peralatan foodgrade merupakah salah satu hal yang penting dalam menjaga kualitas produk pangan yang sehat dan bebas dari kontaminasi secara kimiawi, biologi, maupun yang lainnya. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memebrikan wawasan kepada masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan fasilitas yang sesuai standar kesehatan pangan wajib dipenuhi, terutama pada Usaha  Mikro  Kecil  dan  Menenga (UMKM) yang bergerak pada bidang pangan. Kerjasama antara insan Dikti dan Dunia Industri (UMKM) menjadi salah satu terobosan untuk akselerasi hilirisasi teknologi. Salah satu yang dilakukan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah kerjasama dengan CV. Pawon Ibun dengan mengembangkan alat penggiling daging berbahan stainless steel sehingga lebih aman (foodgrade). Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah bantuan pengadaan alat alat penggiling daging dari bahan stainless steel dalam menunjang proses produksi kaldu sehat pada CV. Pawon Ibun dan dilanjutkan dengan demo penggunaan alat. Kegiatan demonstrasi dan praktek yang dilakukan dapat dikatakan berhasil karena 15 orang (100%) pelaku UMKM yang mengikuti demonstrasi dapat melakukan proses penggilingan daging dengan baik hingga pada tahap pembersihan alat giling. Selain itu, peningkatan pengetahuan karyawan CV. Pawon Ibun mencapai 75 % dalam hal pentingnya menggunakan peralatan yang terstandar dan aman terhadap produk makanan. Sehingga kegiatan kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat berdampak secara nyata dalam meningkatkan daya saing industri. Kata Kunci: pendayagunaan; foodgrade; kaldu; alat giling. ABSTRACTPreparation of foodgrade equipment is one of the important things in maintaining the quality of food products that are healthy and free from chemical, biological, and other contamination. Therefore, the use of facilities that are in accordance with food health standards must be met, especially for UMKM engaged in the food sector. The collaboration between Dikti personnel and the Industrial World (UMKM) is one of the breakthroughs for accelerating the downstream technology. One of the activities carried out in this service activity was a collaboration with CV. Pawon Ibun by developing a meat grinder made of stainless steel so that it was safer (food grade). This community service was carried out by developing a meat grinder made of stainless steel in supporting the healthy broth production process at CV. Pawon Ibun and accompanied by a demo of using the tool. The demonstration activities and practices carried out can be said to be successful because 15 people (100%) of MSME actors who participated in the demonstration were able to carry out the meat grinding process well up to the stage of cleaning the grinder. In addition, the increase in employee knowledge of CV. Pawon Ibun reached 75% in terms of the importance of using standardized and safe equipment for food products. So that these activities were expected to have a real impact in increasing the competitiveness of the industry. Keywords: utilization; foodgrade; broth; grinder.

Abstract

The use of electrical energy for each region is increasing every year, along with the community’s increasing needs. Surabaya, a metropolis in Indonesia, is listed as the third-largest user of electrical energy in Indonesia. The community has widely used solar panels as new renewable energy, such as in the construction of traffic lights, street lighting, and several households. This study aims to determine the daily performance profile of the daily value of voltage, current, and energy stored from solar panels with different types of solar panels, namely, using polycrystalline and monocrystalline solar panels mounted on the roof of the house. Data retrieval was carried out with an interval of data collection every hour when the sun is high enough until the afternoon (06:00 WIB – 18:00 WIB). The results showed that the average voltage value for monocrystalline solar panels was 21.09 V and polycrystalline solar panels were 19.32 V. In addition, the output current values for monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar panels were 0.903 A and 0.27 A. Meanwhile, the monocrystalline output power value was 19.72 W and polycrystalline 5.43 W. Based on the research data, it can be concluded that the energy stored in the battery and the efficiency value for each monocrystalline solar panel produces a higher output value than that produced by polycrystalline solar panels, 12,98%, and 4.04%. However, polycrystalline solar panels that produce a lower and stable electric current can extend the lifetime of the battery where the electric charge is stored from the solar panel.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenghijauan di lingkungan sekolah merupakah salah satu kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan oleh siswa-siswi. Hidroponik dapat menjadi salah satu media pembelajaran berkonsep penghijauan di lingkungan sekolah. Salah satunya yaitu dapat diterapkan di SMA Nahdlatul Ulama 2 Gresik. Sekolah ini merupakan salah satu sekolah menengah atas yang berada di Kota Gresik sejak tahun 1989. Lingkungan sekolah ini ditumbuhi tanaman hanya di sekitar area lapangan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat dilihat bahwa penghijauan di lingkungan sekolah ini belum merata. Ada di beberapa lokasi yang tidak terdapat tanaman hijau disebabkan karena keterbatasan lahan. Salah satu upaya pelestarian lingkungan yang dapat diterapkan pada beberapa tempat yang tidak terdapat lahan luas di SMA Nahdlatul Ulama 2 Gresik yaitu dengan Hidroponik. Pengenalaan hidroponik kepada siswa-siswi serta bapak ibu guru SMA Nahdlatul Ulama 2 Gresik diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi penghijauan. Pengenalan hidroponik dapat dilakukan dengan adanya kegiatan penyuluhan dan dilanjutkan dengan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap penerapan hidroponik sebagai media tanam di sekolah sehingga dapat meningkat pemahaman hidroponik. Metode yang digunakan untuk yaitu dengan melakukan survei secara random sampling dan hasil survei dilakukan uji t dan uji f menggunakan SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, maka kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari kegiatan ini yaitu karakteristik responden terbanyak yaitu perempuan dengan umur 16 tahun. Selain itu dari kegiatan ini variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap Hidroponik sebagai Media Penghijauan di Sekolah yaitu Pemahaman materi, ketersediaan lahan, dan biaya hidroponik. Kata kunci: hidroponik; penyuluhan; pemahaman materi; penghijauan; sekolah. ABSTRACTGreening in the school environment is one of the activities that can be done by students. Hydroponics can be one of the learning media with the green concept in the school environment. One of them is that it can be applied at SMA Nahdlatul Ulama 2 Gresik. This school is one of the senior high schools that has been in Gresik City since 1989. The school environment is overgrown with plants only around the field area. Based on this, it can be seen that the reforestation in the school environment is not evenly distributed. There are some locations where there are no green plants due to limited land. One of the environmental conservation efforts that can be applied to several places where there is no large area of land at SMA Nahdlatul Ulama 2 Gresik is Hydroponics. The introduction of hydroponics to students and teachers at SMA Nahdlatul Ulama 2 Gresik is expected to be a green solution. The introduction of hydroponics can be done with counseling activities and continued with research that aims to find out the variables that influence the application of hydroponics as a planting media in schools so that understanding of hydroponics can be increased. The method used is to conduct a random sampling survey and the results of the survey are carried out by the t test and f test using SPSS. Based on the results of the analysis, the conclusions obtained from this activity are the characteristics of the most respondents, namely women aged 16 years. In addition, from this activity the variables that affect Hydroponics as a Greening Media in Schools are understanding knowledge, land availability, and hydroponic costs. Keywords: hydroponics; counceling; understanding knowledge; greening; schools.

Abstract

Ujung Pangkah Gresik is an area where there is an estuary of a vast river, the Bengawan Solo river. This area annually sends sediment loads transported by the Bengawan Solo river to the Ujung Pangkah estuary so that gradually accumulation occurs, which results in changes in the morphology of the coast on the edge of the Ujung Pangkah coast, Gresik. This study seeks to see the side of shoreline changes on the Ujung Pangkah coast for five years. Then take the change model as a mathematical model that can describe the speed of shoreline change per year using the Lagrange polynomial interpolation method for degrees 1, degrees 2, and degrees 3. The results of shoreline changes that occur are obtained by the Lagrangge polynomial algorithm of degree 3 with R2 of 0.3747 which has a better correlation than degree 1 (0.0313) and degree 2 (0.3741). The results of this study obtained a mathematical model with a Lagrange polynomial approach where degree 3 has the best correlation among other models. This study concludes that by using a mathematical model, an overview of the process of change or natural phenomena can be obtained, where the existing model can predict future changes in the existing coastline.

Abstract

Desa mojokumpul terdapat di Kecamatan Kemlagi, kabupaten Mojokerto, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Desa tersebut memiliki anggota Ibu-Ibu dalam organisasi PKK yang yang dapat meningkatkan daya enterpreneurship dalam hal pemanfaatan barang bekas pakai yang terdapat di sekitar desa. Namun, warga belum memahami secara jelas mengenai proses penanaman tanaman sayur dan buah dengan sistem hidroponik sederhana maupun vertical. Dengan demikian, penyuluhan pemanfaatan barang bekas pakai dalam bertanam hidroponik bertujuan sebagai upaya menambah wawasan mitra dalam mencapai kategori desa mampu mengelola limbah rumah tangga dan menjadi desa terbaik dalam pelestarian serta penghijauan. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu penyuluhan dan praktek kepada peserta. Pada program ini terdapat tiga tahapan, persiapan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap persiapan, dilakukan persiapan mencari mitra desa yang sesuai, penyediaan alat dan bahan, maupun penyusunan materi yang diberikan. Tahap implementasi, kegiatan penyampaian materi dan praktek bertanam hidroponik oleh penyuluh. Pada tahap ketiga, evaluasi, akan diberikan post-questions secara lisan kepada peserta mengenai pemahaman materi yang telah disampaikan dalam penyuluhan dan praktik bertanam hidroponik. Dari hasil kegiatan diperoleh peningkatan pemahaman tentang bertanam hidroponik dari barang bekas. Diketahui bahwa 25% peserta paham memahami materi dan praktek bertanam dengan hidroponik dari barang bekas setelah dilakukan penyuluhan. Meskipun nilai presentase peningkatan pemahaman materi tidak menunjukkan hasil yang cukup signifikan, tetapi adanya penyuluhan diharapkan dapat membuka wawasan bagi warga mengenai bertanam hidroponik dapat dilakukan dengan penggunaan barang bekas yang terdapat di lingkungan rumah.

Abstract

This preliminary study aims to determine the daily profile of the power output generated from solar panels, with variations in the house’s roof angles of 15º, 0º, 15º. Tilt angle investigation expects to discover the impact of placing solar panels on the slope of the tile used on the house’s roof. The collecting data of this study was investigated the data of current and voltage every hour that produced by solar panel. Besides, this study also comparing the result of total energy output value for daily profile of solar panel during ten hour per day (start from 7 am to 5 pm). The results show that solar panels with an angle of -15º at 07:00 – 10:00 WIB have higher output voltage and current than other angle variations. At a tilt angle of 0º, the output voltage and current of the solar panel are higher at 11:00-14:00 WIB, while at a tilt angle of 15º in the afternoon. Based on observations, each solar panel with exposure for 10 hours obtained the total energy value for polycrystalline solar panels with a tilt angle of -15º of 258.44 Wh, solar panels with an angle of 0º obtained an energy value of 263.64 Wh, and a tilt angle of 15º obtained energy values 260.69 Wh. The photonic energy emitted for 10 hours is 2097.47 Wh. The energy efficiency value for each polycrystalline solar panel is 12.32% for the angle of -15º, the angle of 0º is 12.57%, and 12.43% for the angle of 15º. In conclusion, variations in the angle of the solar panels have significant effect on the voltage, current, and energy generated from polycrystalline solar panels in every hour. However, based on the data result the total energy exposure and the efficiency value for each variation angle has no significant different. Pyramid-shaped house roof construction has the advantage of increasing the value of the cross-sectional area of the tile, which has the opportunity to install wider-sized solar panels so that a greater value of electrical energy is obtained.

Abstract

The peak hour factor (PHF) is one of the important factors in planning a road. This factor is used to predict the traffic volume in the planned year of a road. So calculating this factor is very important in planning road capacity so that a road can serve traffic flows well during its design life. The Peak hour factor (PHF) value will vary for each region, each type of road, and each peak hour depending on the traffic flow on that road section. East Surabaya is an industrial and office center area so there are frequent fluctuations in traffic flow at certain hours. This research aims to analyze the Peak hour factor (PHF) value on the arterial road network system in East Surabaya based on road type and peak hour time. The methods used are traffic volume surveys, peak hour volume (PHV) calculations, peak hour factor (PHF) analysis, and residual capacity analysis. The results obtained from this research are that each road section has a different peak hour volume (PHV) time depending on the volume of traffic passing through that road. Apart from that, the type of road and the time peak volume occurs will differentiate the peak hour factor (PHF) value on a road section. Overall, the peak hour factor (PHF) value for arterial roads in East Surabaya with road type 6/2 D is in the range of 0.76-0.97 with an average of 0.91 and road type 4/2 in the range of 0.89 – 0.95 with an average of 0.93.
