Abstract

The objective of this quantitative study is to analyze the influence of Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Net Profit Margin (NPM) on profit growth in the conventional private bank subsector. The approach used is quantitative associative using secondary data obtained from financial statements published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This study uses purposive sampling techniques to produce 24 companies with criteria as research samples. The analysis findings indicate each variable has a different impact on profit growth. Partially, ROA significantly affects profit growth, describing asset turnover as measured by sales volume. Assets that are managed effectively will increase investor confidence in investing so that they can increase profits. On the other hand, ROE has no significant influence, meaning that the amount of the owner's return on capital does not contribute much to the increase in the company's profit can occur due to other factors. However, NPM shows a positive significant influence on profit growth, which shows that the higher the NPM a company has, the greater the profit growth that can be achieved. Then, simultaneously, ROA, ROE, and NPM have been proven to significantly influence profit growth. Information on ROA and NPM can be used as the main indicator to assess the bank's ability to generate profits consistently.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Operating Cash Flow, Debt Level, and Company Size on Profit Persistence. The research uses a quantitative method, with data obtained from financial statements. The population in this study consists of Goods and Consumption Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the research period from 2019 to 2023. The sample tested in this study includes 31 companies, selected using the Purposive Sampling method. Hypothesis testing in this study employs multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 26. The results indicate that Operating Cash Flow and Company Size have a negative but insignificant effect on Profit Persistence. Meanwhile, Debt Level has a significant positive effect on Profit Persistence. Additionally, Operating Cash Flow, Debt Level, and Company Size have a positive simultaneous effect on Profit Persistence. This means that the higher the operating cash flow, the greater the profit persistence, as companies expect high profit growth to influence profit persistence.

Abstract

Profit maximization drove the decision to include RGEC in our analysis. This study used a quantitative approach and relied heavily on secondary sources for its data. A significance value of 0.012 <0.05 and a t count value of -2.674 <table -2.037 implies that the NPF variable has a substantial and negative influence on ROA, as shown by the partial analysis. The lack of a meaningful association between GCG and ROA is shown by the fact that neither the t-value (1.801, <2.037) nor the correlation (p = 0.081, p < 0.05) reached the significance threshold. A t count value of 8.949 > of the t table 2.037 and a significant value of 0.000 < of 0.05 show that NOM significantly improves ROA. Also, at the 0.05 level of statistical significance, the t count value of -0.861 and the t table value of -2.037 indicate that the CAR variable is not related to ROA. The RGEC factors have a substantial influence on ROA concurrently, as shown by an Fcount value of 46.657, which is derived from a Ftable value of 2.67, and a significant value of 0.000 <0.05.
