Abstract

Business development is a situation where a growing business or not be seen from some of the indicators that can be used as a measurement to determine a growing business or not. For every business is different, so different measures used to determine whether a business succeeds or not. Many emerging competitors can improve business development to stay ahead among its competitors. Factors such as the level of experience in entrepreneurship, productivity and innovation also performed can affect the development of the work done.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the level of experience in entrepreneurship, productivity, and innovation to the development of the spring roll skin. This type of research is explanatory research, with data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The sampling technique used nonprobability sampling techniques and sample saturated. The sample amounted to 30 UMKM entrepreneurs spring roll skin on skin Lumpia. This study uses quantitative analysis techniques. Quantitative analysis using validity, reliability, simple regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, the significance test (t test) and f test.The results of this study indicate that all variables are partially independent, entrepreneurial experience level variables (X1) effect on business development (Y) of 38.2%, productivity (X2) effect on business development (Y) by 38%, and innovation (X3) effect on business development (Y) of 39.5%.

Abstract

Interviews with batik Lasem owners claim that many outlet their turnover tends to decline, many outlets were closed there is also that they formerly had two or three outlets but now only one outlet that still survive. Some are trying to increase their outlets by developing batik products they sell. Selection of the location of the outlets also they notice and terms of sale are many who try to follow the trends in society that is a way to sell their products in onlineshop. They are aware to follow the trend and understand consumer desires. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of product differentiation, promotion and location on purchasing decisions batik Lasem in District Lasem of Rembang Regency. This type of research is explanatory research with data collection using questionnaires and literature. This study used a sample of 100 consumers were determined by nonprobability sampling with incidental sampling techniques. Analysis of the data used in this study was to test the validity and reliability, the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, t-test, f-test and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that; 1) product differentiation has significant positive influence on purchase decisions of batik Lasem (0,000), 2) the promotion has positive and significant impact on purchase decisions of batik Lasem (0.000), 3) location has positive and significant impact on purchase decisions of batik Lasem (0,000), 4) product differentiation, promotion, and location has significant effect on purchase decisions of batik Lasem (0,000). Conclusion This study shows that the more varied batik Lasem products are offered, more interesting and frequent promotions, as well as more affordable and more strategic location of outlets selling batik Lasem the easier access of consumers to reach out and buy the batik Lasem products. Therefore, companies must be able to maintain and improve the quality of product differentiation, enhance the promotion, and choose the location of sales outlets batik Lasem strategically so that consumers are not difficult to find and buy products batik Lasem.

Abstract

PT. PLN ( Persero ) area of Semarang is a company engaged in the provision of electricity services in Semarang. This study aims to determine themselves the extent of the influence of organizational culture ( X1 ) , Leadership ( X2 ) , Motivation ( Z ) of the Employee Performance ( Y ) PT. PLN ( Persero ) Semarang area . This type of research is explanatory research , the method of data collection using oral interviews and data collection devices using a questionnaire with a sample of 91 respondents employees of PT PLN ( Persero ) Semarang area through sampling techniques performed by sampling saturated or also known as the census . Results from this study is that there is influence between organizational culture , leadership , and motivation on employee performance PT. PLN ( Persero ) Semarang area of 60.6 % , while 39.4 % is influenced by other factors . Then the most impact is affecting the performance of organizational culture indirectly ( indirect ) through the motivation of 0.088 . Compared with the leadership to influence performance indirectly ( indirect ) amounted to 0,089 . This means that the organizational culture and leadership will not be able to affect the performance , if the employee has previously had the motivation of organizational culture and leadership are given .. Advice can be given in this study , namely PT . PLN ( Persero ) Semarang area is to create a climate of better organizational culture within the company , it should be held periodically evaluate the implementation of Electricity for a Better Life.

Abstract

PT. Indonesia Power UBP Semarang, part of the PT. Indonesia Power, is engaged in power generating of gas and steam. Companies desperately need the ability and motivation of the workforce, especially in the technical and operational machinery. As a measure of the progress of the company, PT. Indonesia Power perform employee performance assessment. It conducted each semester by filling Form Employee Performance by superiors. From the preliminary survey conducted by the researchers, it is known that the performance of the employees of PT. Indonesia Power UBP Semarang in 2011 has decreased. Performance of employees was reduced in grade 4 from 14.74% to 7.98%. Absenteeism PT. Indonesia Power UBP Semarang in 2011 also declined. Employees who off work increased in June. This study aimed to determine the effect of work ability and work motivation on employee performance. The population in this study are 104 operator employees of PT. Indonesia Power UBP Semarang. Sampling technique in this study was saturated sampling. Measurement scale using Likert scale. Data analysis using regression with SPSS 17.0. The results showed that the ability variables have a positive and significant influence on the employees performance at 41.9 percent. Motivation variables have a positive and significant influence on the employees performance at 50.2 percent. Variable work ability and motivation have a positive and significant influence on the performance of employees at 53.5 percent. This study concluded that the ability to work and motivation have a positive and significant influence to the employee performance. PT. Indonesia Power UBP Semarang should provide training to improve the ability, especially in terms of mastery of work equipment and computer systems, understanding of company policies, understanding of corporate objectives and the ability of empathize. Provide better motivation to employees to create a feeling in the employees that they have a role in the company.

Abstract

Purchasing decision stage decision process where the consumer actually purchases theproduct. Generated by the purchasing decisions of consumers would be more difficult, especially in acompetitive market because there are many options that make the consumer is free to make his choice.Allegations of factors that influence the purchase decision is brand awareness and quality of service.This study was conducted to determine the effect of brand awareness and quality of service onpurchasing decisions in Peacock Coffee Gajah Mada Semarang. In this study using the technique ofsampling non probability sampling with accidental sampling that can be taken 155 consumerrespondents Peacock Coffee Gajah Mada Semarang. The data analysis used is regression. The resultsshowed that the results of the t 19.591> t table 1.975 then kesdaran brand (X1) has a positive andsignificant impact on purchasing decisions (Y), the results of the t 21.302> t table 1.975, the qualityof service (X2) has a positive and significant impact on the purchasing decisions (Y). The resultsshowed that there was a positive and significant influence between brand awareness and servicequality together to purchasing decision.

Abstract

Facilities, promotion and service quality influence the service usage decision. Convention Hotel Patra Jasa in Semarang get customer complaints about facilities, promotion, and service quality.The problems affect the service usage decision,it can be seen from the data of usage amount of rooms that fell as much as 21% and occupancy of the target is not realized in 2014.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of facilities, promotion and service quality of the service usage decision. Type of research is explanatory research with collecting data with questionnaires and interviews. Sample in this research were 100 customers of Convention Hotel Patra Jasa in Semarang determined by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis that used in this study is simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, correlation analysis, t and f test.Based on this research, facilities has an effect on the service usage decision, promotion has an effect on the service usage decision and service quality has an effect on the service usage decision. Simultaneously only service quality has an effect on the use of decision services.The conclusion of this study showed that the facilities, promotion and service quality affect service usage decision partially, but simultaneously only  service quality affect the service usage decision. The recommendations of this study are providing facilities more complete with other added facilities for guest room. Convention hotel Patra Jasa also must add media advertising to promote the hotel to public with attractive advertising messages. In addition, Convention hotel Patra Jasa should serve hotel guests quickly and understand their needs.

Abstract

Business companies need in managing factors labor. Problems related to the performance of labor are the low. The factors that can influence the occurrence of performance is motivation, work satisfaction, the level of stress, the physical condition, work, a system of compensation and workplace there are to research performance evaluation of the employee who decline and absentee an increase in the presence of an employee ( alpa and permit ). The purpose of this research to find out the influence of compensation, motivation and workplace work on the performance of an employee of PT. Pelabuhan indonesia III ( persero ) container terminal semarang. Type research used in this research is explanatory research with 64 respondents taken using a technique the sampling method of accidental. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires. The validity of test data analysis using techniques, a test of reliability, regression analysis as well as simple and double t test and test with the assistance spss 20.0 f. The results of research suggests that compensation effect on employee performance, the motivation of employees and influential work on the performance impact on the performance of employees work environment. Compensation, the motivation of work and work environment jointly effect on employee performance. Compensation, motivation of work and work environment jointly impact on employee performance. It is suggested that PT. Pelabuhan indonesia III ( persero ) container terminal semarang can give overtime wages and benefits that right, position promotion opportunity to all employees, give a kind of intensive training and sustainable, seminar-seminar themes motivation of work, as well as undertaking controlling to his employees about any employee performance already performed and occasional give a kind of briefing ( briefing ) directly to every employee who had a low that the future is expected to reduce the level to make mistakes and to cultivate initiative and improve employees to finish work on time, as well as companies pay more attention to work environment by increasing employment facilities, comfort and security work so can support operating the company.

Abstract

The research aims to determine which advising strategies need to be applied in order to improve competitiveness by looking at internal factors (strengths and weaknesses), external factors (opportunities and threats) and SWOT analysis. This method of research uses a decsriptif approach and interviews. There are 8 respondents in this study, namely the owner, 2 employees, and 5 consumers of Siomay dan Batagor Si Boss.The results showed Siomay and Batagor Si Boss already doing business strategy, but seen from internal factors (Marketing strategic, Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning and competitiveness), external factors (competition, capital, technology, government policy, economy and environment) there are shortcomings that need to be addressed in order to improve competitiveness. Judging by the SWOT matrix of Siomay dan Batagor Si Boss in the quadrant III with the results of the IFAS 2.45 and EFAS 2.70. There are strengths and opportunities in Siomay and Batagor Si Boss, but this company has weaknesses and challenges. The suggestion in this research is to implement a strategy in this company. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pemsaran yang perlu diterapkan agar mampu meningkatkan daya saing dengan melihat faktor internal (kekuatan dan kelemahan), faktor eksternal (peluang dan ancaman) dan analisis SWOT. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deksriptif dan dilakukan wawancara. Terdapat 8 responden pada penelitian ini yaitu pemilik, 2 karyawan, dan 5 konsumen Siomay dan Batagor Si Boss.Hasil penelitian menunjukan Siomay dan Batagor Si Boss sudah melakukan strategi usaha, namun dilihat dari faktor internal (strategi pemasaran, Segmentation, Targeting, dan Positioning dan daya saing), faktor eksternal (persaingan, permodalan, teknologi, kebijakan pemerintah, ekonomi dan lingkungan) terdapat kekurangan yang perlu dibenahi agar dapat meningkatkan daya saing. Dilihat dari matrik SWOT posisi Siomay dan Batagor Si Boss terdapat pada kuadran III dengan hasil IFAS 2,45 dan EFAS 2,70. Terdapat kekuatan dan peluang pada Siomay dan Batagor Si Boss, namun perusahaan ini memiliki kelemahan dan ancaman. Maka saran pada penelitian ini perlu menerapkan strategi pada perusahaan Siomay dan Batagor Si Boss.

Abstract

Abstract: One type of transportation that fits these criteria is the Indonesian Railroad. PT KAI itself has various types of train levels, such as economy class, business class, and executive class. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of e-WOM on repurchase intention through e-trust as a mediation for train ticket consumers through KAI Access. The data collection technique used a questionnaire that was distributed to 100 KAI Access consumer respondents in Semarang. The analysis technique of this research is using the SPSS version 16.0 program. The results show that e-WOM has a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention, e-trust has a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention, e-WOM has a positive and significant effect on e-trust, e-WOM has a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention through e-trust mediation. Based on the research results, it is suggested that KAI Access can improve the features of the application system to make it easier for consumers to get information, expand e-money partners so that consumers make payments easier, and improve the quality of the security system on KAI Access to minimize consumer concerns in the event of a server disturbance. Keywords: e-WOM; e-trust; Repurchase Intention Abstrak: Salah satu jenis transportasi yang cocok untuk kriteria tersebut adalah Kereta Api Indonesia. PT.KAI sendiri memiliki berbagai jenis tingkatan kereta, seperti kelas ekonomi, kelas bisnis, dan kelas eksekutif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh e-WOM terhadap repurchase intention melalui e-trust sebagai mediasi pada konsumen tiket kereta api melalui KAI Access. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada 100 responden konsumen KAI Access di Semarang. Teknik analisis penelitian ini menggunakan program SPSS versi 16.0.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-WOM berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap repurchase intention, , e-trust berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap repurchase intention, e-WOM berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap e-trust, e-WOM berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap repurchase intention melalui mediasi e-trust. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka disarankan supaya KAI Access dapat meningkatkan fitur pada sistem aplikasi untuk memudahkan konsumen mendapatkan informasi, memperluas mitra e-money agar konsumen lebih mudah melakukan pembayaran, dan meningkatkan kualitas sistem keamanan pada KAI Access meminimalisir kekhawatiran konsumen jika terjadi gangguan server.Kata kunci: e-WOM; e-trust; Repurchase Intention

Abstract

Abstract: The competition in transport tightly and complex have been concerned since the expansion of information technology and therefore this competition company or organization conventional transportation with transport online based. The investigation is to analyze absorption of knowledge and capability innovation on kosti semarang taxi. The subject of study are employees and the taxi kosti semarang. The methodology through interviews and observation with type descriptive used a qualitative approach. The result showed that the taxi kosti deteriorating not because to follow of technological development since restricted the ability of human resources owned by taxi kosti semarang. Knowledge possessed by employees and the driver who limited because education levels. So that we can conclude that the knowledge and capability innovation mutual significant in the company. The suggestion that can be given for a taxi kosti semarang is to make the support system decision / decision support a system based on a computer, make a system of measuring key performance index, increased use of intranets for databases organization, collaborated with the experts maker online application, and improving the use of information technology to manage a database organization.Keywords: ability innovation; knowledge absorption; knowledge management; technology Abstrak: Kondisi persaingan di bidang transportasi cukup ketat dan komplek mulai muncul sejak perluasan teknologi informasi sehingga adanya persaingan perusahaan atau organisasi transportasi konvensional dengan transportasi berbasis online. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penyerapan pengetahuan dan kemampuan inovasi pada Taksi KOSTI Semarang. Subjek penelitian adalah karyawan dan pengurus Taksi KOSTI Semarang. Metode penelitian melalui wawancara dan observasi dengan tipe deskriptif menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi Taksi KOSTI yang memburuk bukan karena tidak bisa mengikuti perkembangan teknologi karena terbatas kemampuan sumber daya manusia yang dimiliki oleh Taksi KOSTI Semarang. Pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh karyawan dan supir yang terbatas karena tingkat pendidikan yang rendah. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyerapan pengetahuan dan kemampuan inovasi saling berpengaruh signifikan dalam kinerja perusahaan. Adapun saran yang dapat diberikan untuk Taksi KOSTI Semarang adalah membuat sistem pendukung keputusan/Decision support sistem berbasis komputer, membuat sistem pengukuran Key Performance Index, peningkatan penggunaan intranet untuk database organisasi, berkolaborasi dengan pihak expert pembuat aplikasi online, dan peningkatan penggunaan teknologi informasi untuk pengelolaan database organisasi.Kata Kunci : kemampuan inovasi, penyerapan pengatahuan, manajemen pengetahuan, teknologi
