Abstract

Pre-harvest fish mortality was often found in polyculture vannamei shrimp and milkfish in Duduksampeyan. This is thought to be caused by declining water quality. This study aims to evaluate water quality based on physico-chemical parameters and biotic index in vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) and milkfish (Chanos chanos) ponds. The study was carried out in February-March 2021 in Duduksampeyan using a purposive sampling method from 3 stations, vannamei shrimp ponds (station 1), milkfish ponds (station 2) and polyculture ponds (station 3) at 3 sampling points located at the inlet/outlet, middle and edge. Data analysis using ANOVA followed Tukey's test to compare data from the three stations. Correlation analysis, PCA and cluster to determine the relationship between environmental parameters and plankton. The physico-chemical parameter values were in accordance with SNI8037.1:2014 except for salinity, suspended solids at the three stations, brightness at station 3, dissolved solids at station 2. Station 1 found 8 classes with 17 genera, station 2 contained 8 classes with 11 genera and stations 3 there are 7 classes with 14 genera. The most common genera found at station 1 were Synechocystis, Spirulina, station 2 Synechocystis, Pandornia, Chaetoceros, station 3 Synechocystis, Pandornia, Spirulina. The diversity index value is between 1.7-3.1ind/L. Human activities such as settlements, livestock and agriculture are thought to be the cause of the decline in water quality from being eutrophic to hypereutrophic (TDI). The relationship between plankton and environmental parameters shows that at station 3 the optimum results are obtained to support the life of aquatic biota.Keywords: Physics-Chemistry, Diversity Index, Water Quality, PlanktonABSTRAKKematian ikan pra panen banyak dijumpai pada tambak budidaya polikultur udang vannamei dan ikan bandeng di Kecamatan Duduksampeyan. Hal ini diduga disebabkan oleh menurunnya kualitas air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas air berdasarkan parameter fisika-kimia dan indeks biotik di tambak udang vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei) dan ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Februari-Maret 2021 di Kecamatan Duduksampeyan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dari 3 stasiun yaitu tambak udang vannamei (stasiun 1), tambak ikan bandeng (stasiun 2) dan tambak polikultur (stasiun 3) di 3 titik sampling yang berada di inlet/outlet, tengah dan tepi. Analisis data menggunakan ANOVA dilanjutkan Uji Tukey untuk membandingkan data dari ketiga stasiun. Selanjutnya dianalisis korelasi, PCA dan cluster untuk mengetahui hubungan antara parameter lingkungan dengan plankton. Nilai parameter fisika-kimia telah sesuai SNI 8037.1:2014 terkecuali salinitas, padatan tersuspensi di ketiga stasiun, kecerahan pada stasiun 3 dan padatan terlarut pada stasiun 2. Stasiun 1 ditemukan 8 kelas dengan 17 genus, stasiun 2 terdapat 8 kelas dengan 11 genus dan stasiun 3 terdapat 7 kelas dengan 14 genus. Genus yang paling banyak ditemukan pada stasiun 1 yaitu Synechocystis, Spirulina, stasiun 2 Synechocystis, Pandornia, Chaetoceros, stasiun 3 Synechocystis, Pandornia, Spirulina. Nilai indeks diversitas antara 1.7-3.1ind/L. Aktivitas manusia seperti pemukiman, peternakan dan pertanian diduga menjadi penyebab menurunnya kualitas air menjadi eutrofik hingga hipereutrofik (TDI). Hubungan antara plankton dengan parameter lingkungan menunjukkan bahwa pada stasiun 3 diperoleh hasil yang optimum untuk mendukung kehidupan biota perairan.Kata kunci : Fisika-Kimia, Indeks Keanekaragaman, Kualitas Air, Plankton

Abstract

Mangrove forest is one of the ecosystems in the coastal area that plays an important role as a habitat for iktiofauna, one of which is the gelodok fish community. The purpose of this study was to compare the community structure of mudskippers at Bahak Indah Coast, Tongas, Probolinggo with or without mangrove vegetation. The study was conducted in January–February 2022. The determination of the observation station was carried out purposively, which was determined based on the presence or absence of mangrove vegetation. Observation of the mudskipper community used a systematic sampling method with the help of transects and plots. The analyzed mudskipper community structure data included diversity index, uniformity index and dominance index. The results found 4 species from 2 genera of mudskipper namely Boleophthalmus pectinirostris, Boleophthalmus boddarti, Periophthalmus chrysospilos and Periophthalmodon schlosseri. Mudskipper diversity index at both stations was in the medium category, and was higher at the stations with mangrove vegetation. The uniformity index was included in the high category, and was higher at the stations with mangrove vegetation, and the dominance index was in the low category, and lower at the stations with mangrove vegetation. The results of this study indicate that the coastal waters area with mangrove vegetation contributes to the high diversity and uniformity of the mudskipper community compared to areas without mangrove vegetation.

Abstract

Tourism activity in Trisula waterfall (locally called Coban Trisula) is growing significantly. The environmental management is important to perform the sustainable use of waterfall as tourism attraction. The aim of the research is to identify the ecosystem services of Trisula waterfall. In this study, three indices were calculated, namely Environmental Services Index, Hemeroby Index, and Naturalness index. This study found that the use of lands and natural resources in Trisula waterfall was low compared the upper and lower area. Lower and upper area was used for intensive agriculture and daily needs by local community. Those activities were influencing the environmental services of Trisula waterfall. Management towards sustainable use of Coban Trisula area was required. It is also important and should be able to promote security and satisfaction aspects for tourist. Anthropogenic activities such as plantation activities should be controlled by a persuasive approach to minimize disruption to the ecosystem. There are needs for environmental management to ensure the sustainability use of waterfall resources and its surrounding area.Keywords: sustainable tourism, waterfall management, water conservation.

Abstract

Tanaman sayur kangkung darat (Ipomoea reptans Poir) dan pakcoy (Brassica rapa Linnaeus) merupakan komoditas sayuran yang banyak digemari oleh masyarakat untuk dikonsumsi. Bagi masyarakat perkotaan dapat memanfaatkan lahan sempit untuk dapat membudidayakan sayur mayur seperti kangkung dan pakcoy menggunakan sistem akuaponik yang dapat diintegrasikan dengan budidaya ikan skala rumah tangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan kangkung dan pakcoy pada sistem budidaya akuaponik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan 2 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan yaitu A(kangkung) dan B (pakcoy). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dalam bentuk histogram dari hasil pengamatan kondisi fisik tanaman kangkung (Ipomoea raptans) dan pakcoy (Brassica rapa) yang meliputi; tinggi tanaman, banyak daun, dan panjang daun serta grafik dari hasil pengamatan kondisi kualitas air pemeliharaan yang meliputi; suhu, pH, dan amonia. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan kangkung pada variabel tinggi tanaman, banyak daun, dan panjang daun pada sistem akuaponik menunjukkan hasil yang lebih optimal dibanding pakcoy. Abstract

Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of the economically important fish to be cultivated. Although tilapia is able to adapt to changes in environmental conditions, tilapia is a fish that is sensitive to pollutant exposure. Exposure to various types of pollutants has been reported to have caused death and physiological disturbances in tilapia. This study aims to analyze the effect of several water quality parameters (temperature, pH, DO, and turbidity) fed facultative pond waste water with different processing stages on the hatchability of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) eggs. The method used was the experimental method using RAL (completely randomized design) with 4 treatments. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications with treatment A (facultative pond water 1 with high turbidity level), treatment B (1 liter facultative pond water 4). with medium turbidity level), C treatment (1L of facultative 6 pool water with low turbidity level) and D treatment (1L of water from Ngsong Village). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression to determine the effect of water quality on hatchability of tilapia eggs and their correlation. The results of water quality obtained during observations on temperature parameters ranged from 21-27ºC with a pH ranging from 4.91-7.91, DO ranging from 3.52-5.65 and turbidity ranging from 1.9-0.5. Water quality parameters including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen have different effects on the hatchability of tilapia (Orecohromis niloticus) eggs. Temperature has a significant influence on egg hatchability of 53% with a strong positive relationship. pH and DO have a small weak effect on the hatchability of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) eggs of 0.15 and 0.25 respectively with a weak positive relationship. Meanwhile, turbidity has a large effect, namely 73% on egg hatching, with a strong negative relationship. This means that increasing temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen tend to increase egg hatchability, while increasing turbidity will reduce the hatchability of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) eggs.

Abstract

Instalasi Pengolahan Limbah Tinja (IPLT) Supit Urang adalah instalasi pengolahan lumpur tinja yang dirancang untuk mengolah lumpur inja dengan menurunkan kandungan senyawa organik agar sesuai kadar baku mutu. Limbah yang tidak diolah dengan benar dapat mencemari lingkungan. Berdasarkan parameter kualitas air yang baik adalah yang mengandung cukup kadar oksigen terlarutnya. Pengambilan sampel air limbah untuk pengmatan dilakukan secara purposive pada kolam wetland. Oksigen terlarut diukur menggunakan DO meter, dan untuk Nitrat dan nitrit menggunaka reagen (water test kit). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dalam bentuk table dan grafik. Hasil pengamatan mendapatkan oksigen terlarut dan nitrat sesuai dengan sstandar baku mutu air, sedangkan nitrit melebihi standar baku mutu air.

Abstract

Sungai Patrean merupakan salah satu sungai di Sumunep yang aliran sungainya mengaliri Kecamatan Manding, Batuputih, Dasuk, Kecamatan Gapura, dan Kecamatan Kota. Dalam pemanfaatannya, sungai Patrean sering kali digunakan oleh masyarakat sebagai aktivitas pertanian, mencuci atau mandi, drainase, dan pembuangan sampah baik organik maupun anorganik. Adanya berbagai aktivitas antropogenik tersebut dapat memberikan beban pencemaran terhadap lingkungan hidup salah satunya yaitu menurunnya kualitas air sungai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas air pada perairan sungai Patrean Kabupaten Sumenep. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel air dilakukan pada tiga titik yang berpotensi mengalami pencemaran. Analisa data dilakukan secara deskriptif dalam bentuk tabel dengan membandingkan dengan baku mutu kualitas air berdasarkan PP Nomor 22 tahun 2021 tentang Penyelenggaraan Perlindungan dan Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup. Kondisi kualitas air sungai Patrean Kabupaten Sumenep dilihat dari hasil pengukurannya nilai DO dan COD pada stasiun 1 yaitu 2,74 mg/l dan 51,2 mg/l, nilai COD pada stasiun 3 yaitu 48 mg/l tidak memenuhi baku mutu kaulitas air yang telah ditetapkan. Sementara untuk nilai parameter lainnya masih memenuhi baku mutu. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari hulu ke hilir kualitas air sungai Patrean mengalami peningkatan pada parameter kualitas airnya.

Abstract

Sungai Jilu merupakan salah satu sungai di Kabupaten Malang – Jawa Timur yang melewati Desa Sekarpuro, Desa Cemorokandang, Desa Madyopuro, Desa Sawojajar, Desa Lesanpuro, dan Desa Kedungkandang. Sungai Jilu mempunyai aliran yang mengalir sepanjang tahun, dimana potensinya dimanfaatkan oleh warga sekitar untuk mandi, mencuci, mengairi sawah dan membuang limbah cair pabrik. Berbagai kegiatan tersebut dapat merusak lingkungan sehingga menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan, salah satunya adalah penurunan kualitas air sungai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi kualitas air sungai Jilu saat ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode purposive sampling yang dilakukan pada 5 stasiun dengan aktivitas antropogenik yang berbeda. Analisis data fisikokimia dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan membandingkannya dengan baku mutu air berdasarkan PP No. 22 Tahun 2021 tentang Penyelenggaraan Perlindungan dan Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup. kondisi kualitas air sungai Jilu berdasarkan parameter fisikokimia masih memenuhi baku mutu yang ditetapkan PP No. 22 Tahun 2021. Nilai TDS, pH, DO, dan BOD sehingga masih aman dan sesuai untuk berbagai kebutuhan.

Abstract

The use of vegetable biopesticides in plantations has long been known, but its application in forestry plant nurseries is generally still not widely practiced by the community. One of the environmental problems has become a global issue, namely the excessive use of pesticides and fertilizers. The use of pesticides that are not in the right dose, inappropriate use, inappropriate benefits and not according to the rules of use can be a source of compounds and pollution containing heavy metals which are very difficult to degrade. Cinnamon biopesticide research was carried out in several locations based on research activities. The collection of cinnamon samples was carried out in the Research Field of the Faculty of Agriculture and the manufacture of biopesticide solutions was carried out at the Forestry Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Khairun University. To test the effectiveness of the biopesticide solution, it was carried out in the Ake Malamo Watershed Management Center and Protected Forest on mangrove/mangrove seedlings. The application of biopesticides is carried out by spraying all parts of the seeds with the appropriate concentration of treatment. Applications were carried out five times with an interval of once every 1 week. Observations were made every week, one day after the application of spraying. The use of fragrant cinnamon biopesticide which was sprayed on mangrove seedlings 5 times 7 days after planting with a concentration of 75% each time was proven to suppress pest attacks so as to increase their growth. This result is better than the control/other treatments.
