Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the licensing method of fishing for mud crab (Scylla sp.) and to determine the stages of the strategy undertaken to support the management of traditional fishery resource potential in Manimeri District. This research was started from 18 August to 8 Oct 2019, located in Manimeri District, Banjar Ausoy Village and Korano Jaya, Teluk Bintuni Regency, West Papua Province. The data collection techniques and methods used in the study were observation, interviews with informants using questionnaires and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) in Basic Training on Traditional Community-Based Fisheries Management in Manimeri District. The analysis used is the SWOT analysis. The results showed that fishing efforts carried out by migrant fishermen in the areas of Kampung Banjar Ausoy and Korano Jaya in catching crabs must have a fishing license through the knowledge of the owner of the customary rights, namely from the Wamesa Tribe. Management strategies for traditional fisheries resource potential in Manimeri District, namely: 1) Optimizing fishery resource management in Manimeri District, 2) Strengthening law and institutional management of fishery resources, 3) Improving the quality of the marketing system, and 4) Preserving the potential of capture fisheries resources.

Abstract

Batu Lubang Village has now become a tourist village, several coastal areas in this village have characteristics that can be an attraction for tourists with all the characteristics, beauty and authenticity of the environment, namely underwater life in the waters, the shape of the beach with beach sand, waterfalls. , caves, etc.), coastal forests which have a rich variety of plants, birds and other animals. This study aims to identify the geomorphological conditions of the Batu Hole Pantai tourist area as a first step to determine the characteristics of the Batu Hole Pantai tourist area, Makbon District, Sorong Regency. This research was conducted in the village of Batu Hole Beach in August-September. Geomorphological parameters discussed include beach type, beach width and length, land cover, beach slope, and water depth. Analysis of the data used is based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The results of the data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that the characteristics of Batu Hole tourism have beach types from sandy to rocky, beach width of more than 15 meters, flat beach slope, land cover in the form of open land, mangroves, and near coconut trees, depth of coastal waters including shallow category, and basic substrate. The waters vary from sandy, loam to sandy and rocky.
