Abstract

Abstract

This study attempt to examine the complex relationship between global consumer culture and global citizenship by involving the mediating effect of cultural intelligence behavior and the moderating effect of religiosity. The structural equation model was developed to propose some hypothesis with support from previous literature. The empirical analysis involved online survey at the individual level, who voluntarily contributed to respond the survey. They represent young people, who represent various places in Indonesia. The results indicate that global consumer culture has a positive impact on global citizenship with mediating support from cultural intelligence behavior. In addition, the moderating effect of religiosity shows that the individual with high level of religiosity demonstrates high level of global citizenship. However, increasing level of global consumer culture for such individual has less impact on global citizenship than individual who has low level of religiosity. This study extends the discussion on global customer culture, which becomes a main concern to international business.

Abstract

Abstract

Over the past year, there have been developments in Indonesia’s creative industry, the animation subsector, both in providing services and producing IP independently. Although the animation sector industry researchers are presented with an effective and efficient animation industry model from ideation to distribution, the model is still difficult to use in Indonesia because of existing limitations so that they are still dependent on government funding. Whereas for the last 65 years there is still no real role that has been done by the Indonesian government to help the growth sector of this sector. So this raises the question of what other things can we do as private parties in developing IP by not relying on funding by the government? Animation, especially in IP production, ia a business with enormous prospects for its impact on the recovery, growth, and development of the Indonesian economy. There are author who have thought about methods that can be carried out or used in efforts to manage this sector. In an effort to realize the things that are dreams of creative industry business actors will be briefly discussed through this critical literature review.

Abstract

Indonesia possesses abundant natural resources and biodiversity, especially within its fisheries industry. Despite this abundance, the nation faces challenges due to population growth and globalization, often associated with deforestation. A report from the FAO outlined various concerns regarding the correlation between forest area impacts and fish catches, considering a nursery area perspective. However, from a socio-economic standpoint, population growth consistently leads to heightened resource utilization. An inferential analysis study involving forest area, GDP, and fish catch biomass from 1990 to 2020 indicated that both forest area and GDP have a significant influence on fish catch biomass. The study revealed a consistent trend: fish catches tended to increase in the following year, but fish catch biomass showed a tendency to decrease five years later. The findings show a 99.9% coefficient of determination, suggesting a highly significant relationship. This research emphasizes the complex linkages among economic progress, forest depletion, and fishing activities, underscoring the essential role of sustainable resource management in addressing changes in both society and the environment.

Abstract

The demand for fresh and high-quality melon has been steadily growing over the years. Certainly, supply chain challenges significantly impact farmers' ability to produce and distribute their products efficiently for some reasons. Moreover, melon crops are vulnerable to changes in weather and climate. Support in the form of climate-resilient farming practices, weather forecasting, and access to drought-resistant or heat-tolerant varieties can help farmers mitigate risks. Hence, melon farmers, like farmers of any other crop, require support for various reasons due challenging industry, and farmers often face a range of factors that can impact their performance. This article aims to explore how a community service program support a farmer group in Lamongan Jawa Timur by establishing a greenhouse for melon cultivation. The primary focus of a community development report is to document the planning, implementation, progress, and outcomes of a specific community development program. Data collection for a community development report involves qualitative approaches such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observations. The method follows the sequential step: The initial step is gathering information about the community's needs, challenges, and aspirations by conducting online interviews, and offline focus group discussion to understand the specific areas that require improvement. The second step is stakeholder mapping, which includes community members, local leaders, local university partners, and local business partners who have a vested interest in the program. The third step entails assessing potential risks and challenges that could hinder the development process. This includes identifying economic, social, environmental, or cultural risks. Based on the information gathered in the previous steps, the design of the community development program was to set clear goals, objectives, strategies, and action plans by tailoring to address the specific needs and circumstances of the community. Last, putting the program into action involves executing the strategies and action plans outlined in the program design, which includes organizing workshops, training sessions, and infrastructure development. The results show that community development is a dynamic and iterative process. Flexibility and adaptability are key qualities as the situation on the ground may change, and new insights may emerge. Additionally, involving the community at every stage of the process fosters ownership, empowerment, and sustainability of the development initiatives.
