Abstract

Currently, there are many organic fertilizers sold in the market, but it is no less important that housewives farmers can make their own, in order to take advantage of the waste that is around their household. The purpose of this activity is that household waste that exists in each household can be used as a useful material for crops that are planted in their gardens or in their yard. This activity is a collaboration between the faculty and independent farmers engaged in organic vegetable entrepreneurship which will be carried out in September 2021, which was followed by women farmers who were in Sungai Rengas village, Kubu Raya Regency. The method used in this activity consisted of lectures and demonstrations, as well as evaluation. The results of this activity were very enthusiastic, because all this time they considered that the waste in the household was only waste or garbage. The results of the evaluation that the fertilizer made by the women were very good, which was shown by after being applied to the flower cabbage plant.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction of cow state fertilizer and Mutiara NPK to plant growth and production of purple eggplant on alluvial soil in polybags. This research was conducted on Karet Street, West Pontianak District, West Kalimantan Province with an altitude of ± 1 meter above sea level. This research was conducted from March 25 to July 2, 2021. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a factorial pattern consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is cow state fertilizer (S) with 3 levels, namely s1 = 40 grams/polybag, s2 = 60 grams/polybag and s3 = 80 grams/polybag. The second factor is Mutiara NPK fertilizer (N) with 3 levels, namely n1 = 1,2 grams/polybag, n2 = 1,6 grams/polybag and n3 = 2 grams/polybag. The number of treatments in this study was 9 treatment combinations and each treatment consisted of 3 times. Each replication consisted of 3 plant samples, so the total number of plant samples was 81 plants. The variables observed in this study were plant height (cm), number of leaves per plant (strands), number of fruits per plant (fruit), and fruit weight per plant (grams). The results showed that cow state fertilizer treatment had a significant effect on the number of leaves per plant, a very significant effect on fruit weight per plant, and no significant effect on the number of plants and fruit per plant. Mutiara NPK fertilizer treatment had a significant effect on fruit weight per plant and had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves per plant, and number of fruit per plant. The interaction of cow state fertilizer and Mutiara NPK had a significant effect on fruit weight per plant and had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves per plant, and number of fruit per plant.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu kelompok masyarakat yang membudidayakan tanaman sayuran di lahan pekarangan untuk mengatasi masalah hama dengan cara pengendalian yang ramah lingkungan tanpa menggunakan pestisida kimia. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Jalan Nirbaya, Gang Bersinar, No. 17, RT.02/RW.12, Kelurahan Kotabaru, Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan, Kota Pontianak, pada kelompok masyarakat yang memanfaatkan lahan pekarangannya untuk membudidayakan tanaman sayuran. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama 3 bulan mulai bulan Oktober sampai Desember 2021. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah penyuluhan dan demonstrasi, dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan melalui monitoring dan evaluasi. Adapun target yang ingin dicapai dengan pengendalian hama tanpa pestisida kimia dalam budidaya sayuran di lahan pekarangan pada kelompok masyarakat yang berada di Kelurahan Kotabaru, Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan, Kota Pontianak, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat ini bisa menghasilkan sayuran organik yang aman dikosumsi dan menjadi contoh bagi masyarakat di sekitarnya. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat terlaksana dengan baik dimana peserta kegiatan berperan aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan serta demontrasi pembuatan perangkap methyl eugenol dan pestisida nabati dari daun pepaya dan bawang putih.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction of chicken manure and Keong Mas liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants. This research was conducted on Jln. Palapa 3 A, Pontianak Selatan, from October to December 2020. This study used a factorial randomized block design with 3 (three) levels of treatment. Each treatment was repeated 3 (three) times and each replication consisted of 3 plant samples. The treatments are as follows: the first factor is chicken manure with code A consisting of 3 levels of treatment, namely: a1 = chicken manure with a dose of 40 grams / polybag, a2 = chicken manure with a dose of 60 grams / polybag, a3 = manure chicken with a dose of 80 grams / polybag. The second factor is the Keong Mas Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) with code K consisting of 3 treatment levels, namely: k1 = POC Keong Mas with a concentration of 0%, k2 = POC Keong Mas with a concentration of 2%, k3 = POC Keong Mas with a concentration of 4% . The variables observed in this study included: Plant Height (cm), Number of Leaves per Plant (strands), Amount of Chlorophyll (units) and Plant Fresh Weight (grams). The results showed that the interaction of chicken manure and POC Keong Mas had no significant effect on all the observed variables. Chicken manure had a very significant effect on plant height, amount of chlorophyll and plant fresh weight and had no significant effect on the number of leaves. Meanwhile, POC Keong Mas had a significant effect on plant height variables and had no significant effect on other observed variables

Abstract

Pengembangan tanaman bawang merah pada tanah aluvial di Kalimantan barat dapat dilakukan dengan perbaikan teknik budidaya, diantaranya pemberian pupuk yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi pemberian pupuk NPK mutiara dengan pemberian Supernasa terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di ketinggian 1 m dpl, di kota Pontianak dari bulan desember tahun 2021 hingga Februari tahun 2022. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial yang terdiri 2 faktor. Faktor pertama pupuk NPK (N) terdiri dari n1 = 1 g/polibag, n2 = 2 g/polibag, n3 = 3 g/polibag, sedangkan faktor kedua adalah Supernasa (S), terdiri dari s0 = tanpa supernasa., s1 = 0,16 g/polibag, dan s2 = 0,32 g/polibag. Banyaknya ulangan dalam penelitian ini 3, dengan jumlah tanaman sampel 3 tanaman pada setiap unit percobaan. Variabel pengamatan dilakukan pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah umbi dan berat umbi basah serta berat umbi kering angin per rumpun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi pupuk NPK dan supernasa hanya berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah umbi/rumpun, dan berpengaruh tidak nyata pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat basah umbi dan berat kering angin per rumpun. Pemberian pupuk NPK Mutiara pada dosis 2 g dengan pupuk Supernasa sebesar 0,32 g memberikan hasil tertinggi pada parameter jumlah umbi dengan rata-rata sebanyak 8,67 umbi per rumpun.

Abstract

Usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu petani mengurangi biaya produksi yang semakin meningkat diantaranya membantu dalam penggunaan pupuk. Alternatif pupuk yang dapat dipergunakan serta dapat meningkatkan produksi dan produktivitas, yaitu dengan membuat pupuk sendiri.  Selama ini petani sangat tergantung pada pupuk yang dijual dipasaran, yang pada  saat ini juga sedang mengalami kenaikan harga. Pembuatan pupuk sendiri dilakukan dengan cara memanfaatkan limbah yang ada disekitar rumah dan halaman atau kebun petani.  Hasil pengamatan selama ini limbah tersebut belum dimanfaatkan, disebabkan ketidak pengetahuan atau karena belum ada penyuluhan yang mengajarkannya, padahal beberapa hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian limbah rumah tangga dapat menjadi pupuk bagi tanaman sayur-sayuran seperti terung, sawi, bayam dan lain-lain.

Abstract

Mitra dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah kelompok tani Lancar Jaya. Kelompok tani ini merupakan kelompok tani yang membudidayakan tanaman kelapa berada di Desa Punggur Kecil Kecamatan Sungai Kakap Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah penyuluhan dan demonstrasi. Target luaran dari kegiatan PKM yang dilakukan berupa : 1) Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dalam mengenal hama utama tanaman kelapa serta teknik pengendaliannya. 2) Petani kelapa mampu memperbanyak secara sederhana jamur Metarhizium anisopliae di tingkat lapangan. 3). Anggota kelompok tani mau secara bersama-sama melaksanakan pengendaliah hama dengan cara menaburkan jamur Metarhizium anisopliae pada sarang-sarang alami maupun sarang buatan (traping) kumbang tanduk kelapa (Oryctes rhinoceros). Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Punggur Kecil Kecamatan Sungai Kakap Kabupaten Kubu Raya selama kurang lebih 3 bulan, mulai dari bulan November 2022 sampai Januari 2023. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat 1. Berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan petani peserta dalam mengamati keberadaan hama utama di pertanaman kelapa miliknya, 2. Berhasil meningkatkan ketrampilan petani dalam memperbanyak jamur Metarhizium anisopliae secara sederhana di tingkat lapangan, 3. Berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran petani untuk melaksanakan pengendalian hama secara hayati menggunakan jamur Metarhizium anisoliae.

Abstract

Induced systemic resistance (ISR) and biofertilizer are two activities in plant protection from pathogens as well as an alternative to the use of traditional fertilizers. The purpose of the study was to determine other features of 4 bacteria that have the ability as phosphate solvents and produce indole and siderophore compounds that determine them as inducers of systemic resistance and indicate their possibility to be applied as biofertilizers in rice plants. This study is experimental with four (4) bacteria that have been identified and characterized molecularly:  Paenibacillus alvei AP4SR, Paenibacillus alvei AP6SR, Bacillus cereus RH8SR, and Bacillus cereus RH10SR. The results showed that the characteristics of the four bacteria could be applied as biofertilizers. The ability to fix nitrogen was shown by Paenibacillus alvei AP4SR, Paenibacillus alvei AP6SR and Bacillus cereus RH10SR, while the ability to dissolve potassium was shown by Paenibacillus alvei AP4SR, Bacillus cereus RH8SR, and Bacillus cereus RH10SR. Only three isolates were able to increase plant metabolite levels, namely Paenibacillus alvei AP4SR, Bacillus cereus RH10SR and Bacillus cereus RH8SR. Bacterial inoculation had a significant effect on plant height and the number of tillers at the age of 40 days, the number of tillers/plant increased to 56.52%..

Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan di Green House Fakultas Pertanian UPB Pontianak pada bulan Mei sampai Agustus 2020. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial. Faktor pertama jenis varietas (V1) yang terdiri dari 6 taraf yaitu : V1 = Varietas Lokal Bangkok, V2 = Varietas Argo Ketapang, V3 = Varietas Inpari 32, V4 = Varietas Padi Hitam SIGE F1, V5 = Varietas Padi Tahan Rebah TAB F1, V6 = Varietas Sertani 14. Faktor kedua dosis kapur (K) dengan 3 taraf yaitu : K0 = 0gr (0 ton/ha), K1= 5gr (1 ton/ha) dan K2= 10gr (2 ton/ha). Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, jumlah anakan produktif, panjang malai, jumlah bulir permalai, berat bulir permalai, berat 100 bulir gabah kering giling dan berat gabah kering giling per rumpun. Pengaruh interaksi perlakuan jenis varietas dan dosis kapur berpengaruh tidak nyata pada semua variabel pengamatan yang diamati, demikian pula perlakuan dosis kapur berpengaruh tidak nyata pada semua variabel pengamatan yang diamati. Perlakuan jenis varietas berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, jumlah anakan produktif, panjang malai, jumlah bulir permalai, berat bulir permalai, berat 100 bulir gabah kering giling dan berat bulir per rumpun. Perlakuan V5 menunjukkan hasil terbaik pada variabel pengamatan tinggi tanaman (107.22 cm), panjang malai (30.06 cm), jumlah bulir permalai (222.56 bulir), berat bulir permalai (5.44 g ), berat 100 bulir gabah kering giling (3.14 g) dan berat gabah kering giling per rumpun (54.72 g). Perlakuan V4 menunjukan hasil terbaik pada variabel jumlah anakan (33.67 anakan) dan perlakuan V2 menunjukan hasil terbaik pada variabel jumlah anakan produktif (27.39 anakan).

Abstract

The area of rice fields in Indonesia decreased every year. Acid sulfate soil, which was sub-marginal land, had the potential to be converted into rice fields, but it needed improvement, one of which was by using organic materials as ameliorants. This research aimed to obtain the best composition of applying rice harvest residue as an ameliorant on acid sulfate soil in improving the growth and yield of rice. The research was conducted at the greenhouse of Panca Bhakti University Pontianak from January to April 2022. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatments consisted of: p0: Control, p1: Rice straw = 40 gr/polybag, p2: Rice husk = 40 gr/polybag, p3: Rice husk charcoal = 40 gr/polybag, p4: Rice husk ash = 40 gr/polybag, p5: Rice straw + rice husk, p6: Rice straw + rice husk charcoal, p7: Rice straw + rice husk ash, p8: Rice husk + rice husk charcoal, p9: Rice husk + rice husk ash, p10: Rice husk charcoal + rice husk ash, with each material weighing 20 gr/polybag. The observation variables were plant height, number of tillers, number of productive tillers, dry weight of grains per hill, and 100-grain weight. Analysis of variance used F-test and continued with Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at the 5% level. The application of rice harvest residue had a better effect on the growth and yield of rice than the treatment without the application of rice harvest residue. Treatment p6 had the best effect on the dry weight of grains per hill, which was 65.67 grams. Keywords:   Acidic Sulfate Soils, Ameliorant, Rice, Rice husk charcoal, Straw
