Abstract

Latar belakang. Penelitian dengan judul Efek Penambahan Tepung Rumput Laut Merah (Gracilaria sp.) dalam Pakan Sapi Potong terhadap Kercernaan Bahan Kering dan Bahan Organik secara in vitro dilaksanakan pada tanggal 4 Oktober 2017 sampai 24 Februari 2018 di Laboratorium Ilmu Bahan Makanan Ternak dan Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengkaji pengaruh rumput laut Merah Gracilaria sp. dalam pakan sapi potong terhadap kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik secara in vitro. Materi dan metode. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini cairan rumen sapi potong yang diambil dari RPH Bantarwuni, Rumput laut Merah Gracilaria sp., konsentrat, jerami amoniasi, seperangkat alat dan bahan mengukur kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen secara in vitro menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) 5 perlakuan 4 kali ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas R1 = Pakan hijauan 40% + konsentrat 60% (PK=12% dan TDN=60%), R2 = R1 + tepung rumput laut Merah Gracilaria sp. 2% dari R1, R3 = R1 + tepung rumput laut Merah Gracilaria sp. 4% dari R1, R4 = R1 + tepung rumput laut Merah Gracilaria sp. 6% dari R1, R5 = R1 + tepung rumput laut Merah Gracilaria sp. 8% dari R1. Varibel yang diamati yaitu Kecernaan Bahan Kering dan Bahan Organik, data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dan dilanjutkan uji orthogonal polynomial. Simpulan. Kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik pada pakan sapi potong dipengaruhi oleh pemberian Gracilaria sp.

Abstract

Background. The study entitled "Concentration of VFA and N-NH3 Mini Elephant Grass (Pennisetum Purpureum Cv. Mott) Fertilized Organic and NPK in Vitro" was carried out on August 1 to September 7, 2019 at the Experimental Farm and Laboratory of Animal Food Sciences, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of providing optimum levels of combination of manure and NPK in terms of VFA and N-NH3 concentrations of mini elephant grass. Materials and Methods. The material used in this research is the fifth mini elephant defoliation grass plant which was originally planted on a total land area of 278 m2 with the area of each plot or unit is 5 m2 and a spacing of 0.75 mx 0.35 m so that it takes 720 mini elephant grass cuttings or 20 cuttings / unit, 270 kg of manure, 2.5 kg of NPK fertilizer. The method used is factorial pattern experiments with randomized group design. The first factor is manure (O) consisting of O0: manure 0 kg / 5m2, O1: manure 7.5 kg / 5m2, O2: manure 15 kg / 5m2 and the second factor is NPK fertilizer (N) consisting from N0: NPK fertilizer 0 g / 5m2, N1: NPK fertilizer 37.5 g / 5m2, N2: NPK fertilizer 75 g / 5m2 and M3: NPK fertilizer 112.5 g / 5m2. The variables measured were the fifth VFA and N-NH3 content of mini defoliation elephant grass. Results. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the interaction between the combination of manure and NPK had no significant effect (P> 0.05), but NPK had a significant effect (P <0.05) on the VFA content and had a significant effect (P <0.05) on the content of N-NH3 mini elephant grass. Conclusion. The single effect of NPK fertilizer can significantly increase VFA and N-NH3 content. The interaction treatment of manure and NPK did not have a significant effect on the VFA and N-NH3 content of mini elephant grass.

Abstract

Background. The purpose of this study was to examine the amount of dry matter consumption and organic matter in sheep feed supplemented with seaweed (Gracilaria sp) and organic Chromium minerals. Materials and methods. The material was used 18 local rams farmed for 3 months. The research was carried out with experiments in vivo. The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments tested were R0 = control feed (55% concentrate and forage 45%), R1 = feed R0 + seaweed flour 3.6%, R2 = feed R1 + 0.03 ppm chromium. The observed variables were the consumption of dry matter and organic matter. Results. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the use of 3.6% seaweed flour and 0.3 ppm organic Cr as a supplement in sheep's feed did not affect the consumption of dry matter and organic matter. The average results of consumption of dry matter sheep feed research results, R0 724.21 g/head/day or 3.12 % body weight, R1 798.99 g/head /day or 3.30 % body weight and R2 884.41 g /head/day or 3.63 % body weight. The average consumption of sheep's Organic Matter were Ro 518.45 g / head /day or 2.23 % body weight, R1 510.72 g/head/day or 2.09 % body weight and R2 602.47 g/head /day or 2.47 % body weight. Conclusion. The conclusion was that the use of seaweed flour and organic Cr as a supplement in sheep's feed does not affect dry matter and organic matter intake in sheep's feed.

Abstract

Latar belakang. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh berbagai pakan komplit berbasis fodder jagung terhadap densitas dan kelarutan. Materi penelitian yang digunakan yaitu fodder jagung, konsentrat, rumput laut, mineral hidroponik, larutan Mc dougals. Materi dan Metode. Metode yang digunakan eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Formulasi pakan komplit yang disusun adalah P1 (30% hijauan : 70 konsentrat), P2 (50% hijauan : 50% konsentrat) dan P3 (70% hijauan : 30% konsentrat). Variabel yang diamati yaitu densitas dan kelarutan pelet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rataan densitas pelet pada perlakuan P1 = 0,520,001 g/cm3, perlakuan P2=0,500,001 g/cm3 dan perlakuan P3=0,510,015 g/cm3, sedangkan rataan kelarutan pelet menunjukan pada perlakuan P1=24,500,30%, perlakuan P2=22,520,70% dan perlakuan P3=21,310,55%. Hasil. Hasil analisis variansi pakan komplit berbasis fodder jagung menunjukan perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P0,05) terhadap densitas dan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P0,01) terhadap kelarutan pelet. Hasil uji DMRT menunjukan terdapat perbedaan nyata pada semua pasangan perlakuan terhadap densitas dan terdapat perbedaan sangat nyata pada semua pasangan perlakuan terhadap kelarutan pelet. Simpulan. Formulasi pakan 30% hijauan : 70% konsentrat memiliki nilai densitas dan kelarutan tertinggi pelet pakan komplit berbasis fodder jagung.
