Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of students to express vocabulary to understand language, both through hearing and writing, and to be able to express their thoughts and feelings, both orally and in writing, as well as to determine student achievement in learning Arabic in Islamic Senior High Schools MAN of Jambi. This research methodology is characterized by qualitative descriptive and data collection methods are observation methods, interview methods, and documents. Data analysis includes field analysis, classification analysis, and combined analysis. The results of this study include: First, student motivation to learn Arabic at Islamic Senior High Schools MAN of Jambi is still very low. Second, the researcher found that most of the students had little interest in the lessons the Arabic teacher gave in front of the class. This is proof that students are not serious about taking lessons, some leave class and some are left behind when the teacher explains the material in front of the class, when the teacher asks the material presented, they do not understand the Arabic vocabulary material. If instructing students to read, most of them cannot read because of the students' weak pronunciation and understanding of Arabic vocabulary. Third, the factors that influence interest in learning Arabic include two factors, namely internal and external factors. As for the teacher's efforts to increase student motivation and ability in understanding Arabic vocabulary in Islamic Senior High Schools MAN Jambi by creating direct learning using mobile phones, learning materials are attached to the sophistication of communication tools and social media.

Abstract

The teaching profession is considered one of the important professions in any civilized people, and teaching Arabic in a non-Arab environment, as is the case in Indonesia, requires rehabilitation, training, and development. It starts from the previous stage of teaching in the Arabic language departments, whether in the College of Education or the College of Arts in Indonesian universities. During the teacher's work period, he continues to teach this noble language. The reality of teaching Arabic in Indonesia faces many problems, the most important of which are the linguistic weakness of Arabic language learners, the difficulty of creating an Arabic environment, the lack of books and literature in teaching Arabic, the lack of educational aids to teach Arabic in the existing curricula. The teacher is the reservation on the basis in any educational process. The existence of a good curriculum will be sterile without the availability of a skilled teacher, and teaching Arabic to non-native speakers is an area that requires linguistic, professional, psychological, and social capabilities that are rarely available to one person from the teachers, as language teachers Arabic in Islamic schools, and even in Islamic universities is often either a specialist in teaching a language who is not good at it, or a glorified one for a language who is not specialized in teaching it to non-native speakers, and we rarely see the presence of a linguistically glorified Arabic teacher who is familiar with the methods of teaching Arabic.

Abstract

Teaching the Arabic language is an educational process that promotes the efficiency of language skills, both verbally and in writing, and as it contains the basic skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation. Access to these skills requires educational potential factors, one of which is textbooks. The book was a basic source of science and knowledge. A good book is a book that is easy to understand and teach, and it carries to the desired education goal. What is meant by the book in this research is the book “Quick Teaching of the Arabic Language. Focusing the research on the students and the book they used to guide their competency in language skills in the book “Quick Teaching on Arabic Grammar” and their level of success with this book. This research benefited from the field method, where the writer looked directly at the site of the research and gave the interview, compilation, and documentation then analyzed the data received through induction, deduction, and comparison. The result of the research is that the book " Quick Teaching on Arabic Grammar" is easy to understand in use and includes explanations in the Indonesian language and its materials starting from the organized foundation that is to be developed in the Arabic language. However, the students are still declining in understanding the Arabic language, and their proficiency in language skills is still light until the goal of teaching a good Arabic language has not been reached.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Make a Match and Picture and Picture learning models on students' Arabic learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The data collection technique used is: test. Data analysis requirements test techniques used are: data description, basic assumption test and classic assumption test. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique. This study used three classes, namely two experimental classes and one control class. The results showed 1) there was an increase in students' Arabic learning outcomes after following the Make a Match learning model 2) there was an effect of the Make a Match learning model on students' Arabic learning outcomes 3) there was an increase in students' Arabic learning outcomes after following the Picture and Picture Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Make a Match dan Picture and Picture terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Arab siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: tes. Teknik uji persyaratan analisis data yang digunakan yaitu: deskripsi data, uji asumsi dasar dan uji asumsi klasik. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga kelas yaitu dua kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar bahasa Arab siswa setelah mengikuti model pembelajaran Make a Match 2) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Make a Match terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Arab siswa 3) serta terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar bahasa Arab siswa setelah mengikuti model pembelajaran Picture and Picture

Abstract

This study aims to determine learning planning, implementation of learning and evaluation of learning carried out by Assisting Teachers at State Elementary School 73, Muaro Jambi Regency. Qualitative research methods. The research was conducted at the State Elementary School 73, Muaro Jambi Regency. To collect data, observations and interviews were carried out as well as documentation. The data collected in this study were then analyzed in three stages as suggested by Miles and Huberman (1992) and Nasution (1988) that in this study there are three stages of analysis in the form of water flow, namely data reduction, data presentation and data conclusion/verification. The results of the research findings indicate that the learning carried out by auxiliary teachers does not meet the pedagogic competencies that professional teachers must possess. This can be seen from several aspects. First, from the aspect of learning planning, there are still assistant teachers who have not designed their own lesson plans. Second, in terms of the implementation of learning, assistive teachers have not used varied methods in learning, they tend to focus on one method, namely the lecture method. Third, from the aspect of learning evaluation, the assistant teacher has not designed learning evaluation questions properly.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the conditions of learning implementation and develop an integrated Arabic learning model. The research subjects were students of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Semester 1 (one) and Semester 3 (three), totaling 60 people. A development model was used as the research methodology. The process involved designing and developing an integrated learning model in the field of education after obtaining data from the results of a survey conducted on the subject under study. Based on the facts in the field, it shows that Arabic language learning in the Arabic Language and Literature Department, Faculty of Adab, and Humanities needs to be improved. One way to accomplish this is to develop an integrated learning model that can combine Arabic language knowledge in the learning process so that it is hoped that students will be able to master Arabic language knowledge as a whole. The results of this research can be used as material for consideration as an alternative in efforts to develop an integrated learning model for teaching Arabic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi tokoh masyarakat dalam meningkatkan perilaku keagamaan remaja, mengetahui bagaimana kendala-kendala tokoh masyarakat dalam meningkatkan perilaku keagamaan remaja, mengetahui bagaimana upaya upaya tokoh masyarakat dalam meningkatkan perilaku keagamaan remaja. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan berbasis deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Benteng Kecamatan Sungai Batang Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan empat hal, yaitu: (1) Strategi tokoh masyarakat dalam meningkatkan perilaku keagamaan remaja yaitu Pendidikan agama yang komprenship, figure teladan, penggunaan tekhnologi yang bijaksana, dan aktivitas agama yang social. (2) Kendala kendala tokoh masyarakat dalam meningkatkan perilaku keagmaan remaja yaitu kurangnya dukungan perhatian dan pemahaman orang tua, teman pergaulan, Lingkungan keluarga, perkembangan tekhnlogi dan media massa, dan remaja yang tidak peduli. (3) upaya tokoh masyarakat dalam meningkatkan perilaku keagamaan remaja yaitu bekerja sama orang tua dan tokoh masyarakat, menagarhkan remaja belajar agama, memberikan sanksi dan hukuman, melakukan pengawasan, memberikan nasehat, dan memberikan pehatian. Adapun kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dapat memberikan gambaran bagi tokoh tokoh lain dalam strategi meningkatkan peilakun gama bagi remaja. Adanya kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam strategi meningkatkan perilaku agama remaja harus di atasi secara semaksimal mungkin. oleh sebab itu kemauan, bimbingan serta semangat tokoh masyarakat dan remaja dapat menentukan keberhasilan strategi dalam meningktkan perilaku agama untuk remaja dikelurahan benteng.

Abstract

The fundamental problem in this research was how relevant the vocabulary in Arabic book Manan al-Aziz is to a higher level in Indonesia. This study amis to: (1) find out the vocabulary in Manan Aziz's book in terms of number, type, position and method, and (2) know the advantages and disadvantages of the book of Manan Aziz. This was a library research employing evaluation analysis method. Data sources were: The Arabic Teaching Book used for grades 10, 11 and 12 in secondary schools in Indonesia, written by Manan Al Aziz in 2009. The results of this study were: new vocabulary in Manan Aziz book after less repetition (53 words) means 693 vocabularies. The number of vocabularies that must be taught to Arabic for speakers of other languages were 1500/2000 words for advanced level, starting with a large number of words in class eleven is 302 words, then in the twelfth line means 242 words

Abstract

This research is aimed; (a) to give a description about Arabic final semester test questions arrangements procedure at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training in UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. (b) to give a description about the quality of the test as seen from its validity, reliability, difficulty, and differentiation capacity. (c) to give a description that the lecturers never did an exam questions analysis of Arabic exam subject at Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training in UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. This research uses the descriptive method with quantitative and qualitative data. The population within this research is the college students of Tadris major in faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training who follows the final semester exam of 2017-2018 tenet years, especially in Arabic test subject. The sample taken during this research is the college students from the Tadris major, who followed the final semester exam on Arabic subject, by using the purpose sampling technique. The data collecting technique used was documentation, interview, and questionnaires. The results of this research are (1) the types of this tests are achievement test from the teaching objectives aspect, teacher-made test from the arrangement aspect, summative test from the time of implementation aspect, written test from the method of performing aspects, and subjective test from the answer scoring aspect, (2) the quality of Arabic test year 2017/2018: (a) validity sufficient, (b) test reliability is high which is 0,74, (c) the difficulty is easy earning it a ‘bad’ category, which is 45 numbers of questions or 11,11%, (d) the differentiation capacity is bad, which is 45 numbers of questions, or 22,22%, (3) the reason why the lecturers and question maker team did not held a question analysis are as follows: (a) some of the Arabic lecturers in faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training in UIN Imam Bonjol Padang are not scholars of Arabic education major or not lenient with S-1 and S-2 academic degree, (b) they have zero experience in doing test analysis, (c) there is no order from the authorities which motivates the lecturers in doing test analysis, (d) the lack of understanding about analysis, and (e) there are lecturers who have never received training or seminar about evaluation and analysis.
