Abstract

This study examines the Principal's Strategy in Improving Teacher Discipline at SD Negeri 1 Biromaru, Sigi Biromaru District and identifies inhibiting and supporting factors. This type of research is afield research using a qualitative approach that is descriptive. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study show that: 1. The principal's strategy in improving teacher discipline at SD Negeri 1 Biromaru is carried out through several steps, including: a) Motivation, namely the principal routinely provides motivation through morning apples and teachers' four, emphasizing responsibility, example, and professionalism, so that teachers are encouraged to discipline voluntarily and are more ready to teach. b) the creation and determination of rules, namely the application of clear and consistent rules related to attendance hours, teaching hours, administration, and work ethics, which help foster discipline and order. supervision, carried out directly through classroom supervision and not directly through daily photo attendance, and equipped with weekly reflection, so that teachers are encouraged to improve the quality of work.d) giving warnings or punishments, namely through performance appraisals (SKP) and the example of the principal, such as arriving early and starting lessons on time, which encourages teachers to imitate discipline without direct reprimands. With these strategies, teacher discipline at SD Negeri 1 Biromaru can be realized in a sustainable manner. 2. Supporting and inhibiting factors in improving teacher discipline: a. support: including good cooperation between school residents, support from students' parents, and the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure.b. Obstacles: Obstacles include teachers who are not consistent in discipline, limitations in certain facilities, and differences in students' backgrounds.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of administrative staff in improving the effectiveness of academic administrative services at MI Al-Ikhlas Tombiano and to analyze the effectiveness of the academic administrative services provided. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study indicate that administrative staff play an important role in supporting the implementation of academic administration in schools. Their roles include serving as school administrators, records and document managers, information service providers, supporters of academic activities, assistants in school management, and communication liaisons between the school and the community. The academic administrative services provided include student data management, document filing, grade processing, attendance management, and correspondence services. The effectiveness of academic administrative services at MI Al-Ikhlas Tombiano was categorized as fairly effective, as demonstrated by the ability of administrative staff to provide services accurately, promptly, and appropriately in accordance with the needs of teachers and students as well as established procedures. This study concludes that administrative staff make a significant contribution to improving the effectiveness of academic administrative services through accuracy, discipline, and responsibility in carrying out administrative duties. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for schools in improving the quality of academic administrative services to support educational activities effectively and efficiently

Abstract

This study examines the managerial competence of the principal in improvingemployee performance at MAN Donggala, Donggala Regency. The research wasmotivated by the strategic role of school principals in managing educationalresources effectively to enhance the performance of teachers and educational staff.The objective of this study was to analyze the principal’s managerial competenceand its implementation in improving employee performance. This researchemployed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collectedthrough observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal,teachers, educational staff, and students as informants. Data analysis wasconducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, whiledata validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findingsindicate that the principal’s managerial competence at MAN Donggala has beenimplemented effectively through school planning, organization management,supervision, employee development, and the creation of a disciplined workenvironment. The principal improved employee performance by providing guidance,motivation, coaching, and continuous evaluation. Furthermore, the principalfostered responsibility, cooperation, and discipline among employees, enablingtasks to be carried out effectively and efficiently. The study concludes that strongmanagerial competence contributes significantly to improving employeeperformance and supports the achievement of educational goals and school qualityenhancement.
