Abstract

Adolescence is a period of storm and stress since adolescents experience many challenges both from themselves (biopsychosocial factors) or the environment (environmental factors). Moreover, adolescents do not have the ability to face these challenges, in which it is possible for them to end up in various health problems that are so complex as a result of the risky behavior they do (the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2018). The book entitled Rapor Kesehatanku (My Health Report) contains a variety of information related to the health and development of students. Students who need further information are expected to discuss with parents, teachers or health workers from the Community Health Center (the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2017). An initial survey at Bangkalan Health Office showed that Rapor Kesehatanku program for adolescents had not been running optimally due to many obstacles in the field, such as the lack of report books and the empowerment of adolescent counselors that had not been established. The method used in this community service was retraining adolescent counselors in providing health information to their peers through adolescent health report book. Each student was expected to have a health report book and be able to know their growth and development on an ongoing basis. Retraining was conducted online, considering the fact that it was still the Covid-19 pandemic, involving 31 students and 9 teachers (classroom teachers, counseling teachers and school health service/UKS teachers). All participants had previously received the module to read before the online meeting. The results of the first evaluation found that there were still students who were not able to fill in health and family health history and fill in the Body Mass Index (BMI) chart on the KMS in health report book. However, in the second evaluation, students were already able to fill in the health and family health history and fill out the BMI chart on the KMS in the health report book.In addition, retraining activities for UKS manager and instructor in implementing health literacy movement using Rapor Kesehatanku book were conducted via virtual meetings. The monitoring and implementation went well. Adolescents at SMPN 1 Socah should frequently read the health information module given and apply it in their daily life. After the Covid-19 pandemic is over and the teaching and learning process returns to normal, UKS teachers and classroom teachers should optimize Rapor Kesehatanku book in carrying out UKS activities, and coordinate with UKS officers at the Community Health Center.

Abstract

One of the nutritional problems that often occurs in pregnant women is anemia. The inability of pregnant women to prevent anemia needs to be predicted based on various factors using the Health Belief Model theory. The research aims to analyze the mother's ability to prevent pregnancy anemia using the theoretical approach of the Health Belief Model. The quantitative research method, with a cross-sectional approach, was carried out at the Arosbaya Bangkalan Community Health Center from May to August 2023. The sampling technique was determined using simple random sampling with a sample size of 101 respondents. Data analysis used the Chi-Square Test. Statistical test results perceived susceptibility (ρ=0.000), perceived severity (ρ=0.007), perceived benefits (ρ=0.000), perceived barrier (ρ=1.000) and self-efficacy (ρ=0.028). The research conclusion is that perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefits, and self-efficacy influence the ability of pregnant women to prevent anemia. In contrast, perceived barriers do not affect the ability of pregnant women to prevent anemia.

Abstract

Adolescence is a phase marked by curiosity and attraction to the opposite sex, which may influence their sexual behavior. According to BKKBN data from 2023, 60% of adolescents aged 16–17 years and 20% aged 14–15 years have engaged in sexual intercourse. A preliminary study at SMAN 1 Blega revealed that among 15 dating students, 4 reported kissing and petting. This study aimed to analyze the influence of parenting patterns, social media, and peer relationships on adolescent sexual behavior at SMAN 1 Blega. Using an analytical cross-sectional approach, the study surveyed 121 out of 158 grade 11 students through simple random sampling. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics, Spearman rank, and logistic regression. The findings indicated significant partial influences of authoritarian parenting (p=0.027; R²=0.208), non-risky social media access (p=0.002; R²=0.292), and peer influence (p=0.011; R²=0.256) on adolescent sexual behavior. Recommendations include replicating planned Generation (GenRe) and counseling teachers are advised to activate the Reproductive Health Information and Counseling Centers (PIK-R)programs tailored for adolescents and strengthening parental communication and supervision to mitigate risky sexual behaviors.
