Abstract

Pelaku home industry cenderung kurang update dalam mempromosikan hasil kerajinannya, sehingga dalam hal pemasaran hanya diseputaran lingkungannya saja. Jika dioptimalkan teknik pemasaran hasil produk kerajinan ini mampu meningkatkan omset penjualan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi keluarga ibu-ibu pelaku home industry. Terlebih lagi di masa pandemi covid 19 yang mewajibkan masyarakat untuk membatasi aktivitas diluar rumah. Dengan kebijakan pembatasan aktivitas masyarakat membuat para pelaku home industry semakin terpuruk dalam hal pemasaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode pengenalan media sosial yang mencakup beragam media sosial yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam mempromosikan hasil produk kerajinan home industry kepada ibu-ibu pelaku home industry, kemudian melakukan pelatihan langsung guna menunjang kemampuan mengoperasikan media sosial. Kegiatan ini berdampak positif bagi para pelaku home industry di Kelurahan Bailang, Kota Manado, karena selama ini mereka hanya mempromosikan hasil produknya melalui mulut ke mulut atau hanya lewat toko kelontong yang dibuat sekedarnya. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan pada penggunaan media sosial dan peningkatan keterampilan serta menambah wawasan dalam rangka meningkatkan penjualan dan tentunya meningkatkan pendapatan bagi pelaku home industry.

Abstract

Silat merupakan bela diri yang telah ada sejak dulu di Nusantara. Saat ini silat telah menjadi satu ciri dari identitas budaya kita. Yaitu sebuah identitas kebudayaan yang terkait dengan seni beladiri. Kegiatan silat tidak hanya dimaknai sekedar kegiatan olah raga seperti pada umumnya namun kegiatan bersilat juga merupakan bagian dari sebuah proses belajar tentang nilai-nilai sosial yang ada. Tujuan kegiatan ini diharapkan pemahaman para siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Modayag Boltim tentang nilai-nilai sosial yang terkandung dalam kegiatan pencak silat mengalami penguatan. Dari pengamatan yang dilakukan menunjukan bahwa pada umumnya peserta telah menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai sosial pada dirinya masing-masing. Para siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Modayag yang mengikuti peltihan dasar pencak silat telah menerapkan nilai-nilai sosial meliputi disiplin dan taat dalam mengikuti pelatihan yang dilakasanakan, terutama pada ketepatan waktu dalam mengikuti kegiatan dan aturan atau intruksi instruktur selama keagiatan pelatihan. Selain itu para siswa juga menunjukkan sikap perilaku kerja sama antara para peserta selama pelaksaan pelatihan.

Abstract

This paper aims to understand the practice of using leisure time in the Jalan Roda (Jarod) area of the city of Manado. This research is focused on coffee shops located in the culinary area of jalan roda in the city of Manado. The determination of this area by considering several aspects, namely the representation of coffee shops located in the city centers and the jalan roda area (Jarod) is a gathering point for all people in the city of Manado. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive analysis aimed at describing in depth the phenomenon of the existence of a culinary jalan roda in the city of Manado as a means or space for leisure expression for the people of Manado. Based on this research, jalan roda area (Jarod) the Manado City is a place where people can relax. This area is a gathering point for people from various backgrounds, ranging from students, brokers, artists, cultural figures, journalists, business people, and even public officials. Different from the concept of coffee, or modern coffee shops in general. Coffee shops in jalan roda (Jarod) is somewhat simpler. Far from modern impression. If in general the concept of modern coffee or coffee maker puts forward an attractive and instagramable interior design for the visitors. Jalan roda region (Jarod) actually retains it’s classic style. The table model is made lengthwise so that everyone who visits can sit at the table with other people who have not been known before.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has reduced field activity, especially for students who will research their final task. This article aims to explain (1) the direction of research topics selected and conducted by students and (2) learning media plans implemented during covid-19. We have spread the questionnaire online to several colleges so that 146 respondents are acquired. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive statistics as well as qualitative analysis to look at concepts or variables as well as reference sources used by students in determining the topic of research. The results showed that the research topics chosen by students did not all lead to the development of ICT-based learning media during the Covid-19 period. This is seen from 61.64% choosing qualitative variable studies to facilitate the process of retrieving data through the spread of online polls. From this result, it is also seen that the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic on the determination of student research topics is only 17.12%.

Abstract

This research aims to develop sociology teaching materials in Senior High Schools about the basic competence of recognising and identifying the realities of individuals, groups, and social relations in society. This research was conducted in Minahasa Regency using a development (RD) method, namely developing a Sociology textbook Class X Semester 1 based on Minahasa local wisdom Maleo-leosan. Data were collected with a qualitative approach by conducting in-depth and structured interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results are the Minahasa community's local values in the form of local Maleo-leosan ideas. This can be elaborated in several sub-materials of sociology in Class X Semester 1, especially on the essential competencies of recognising and identifying the reality of individuals, groups, and social relations in society. Finally, of course, by developing to become a reference that teachers in schools can use as a reference book.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide an overview of the local problems of coastal life that tend to spread into global problems that are also faced by coastal women throughout Indonesia and even the world. The research approach used is qualitative research. Qualitative research is a type of research that is understood as research that utilizes descriptive data. data, namely in the form of data in the form of sentences both verbal and non-verbal. The subjects in this study were women from Hyatt beach, Sanur-Bali. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. The results of this study indicate that the economic life of Hyatt beach coastal women, Sanur-Bali is identical to the life of being a fisherman. Socio-cultural life of coastal women is seen in PKK activities, Mejejaitan together, and others. Domestic life of coastal women can be seen in cooking activities carried out when the husband has returned from fishing. Social problems experienced by coastal women of Hyatt beach, Sanu-Bali can be seen in various forms of discrimination that hit women.

Abstract

This study discusses the form of political participation of women in Tomohon City. The presence of women in the Indonesian political stage is an important discourse on the progress of democracy in Indonesia.  However, there are still many obstacles among women to appear in political contestation, especially in political contestation. This research shows that the trend of political participation among women in Tomohon City continues to increase. This can be seen from the presence of female mayoral candidates who ran in the contestation of the 2019 Tomohon City Elections, namely Jilly Gabriel Eman paired with Virgie Baker. In the executive area, there are at least 40% of women who position as members of the Tomohon City Parliament. Meanwhile, in the aspect of election organizers, there are women representatives in the KPU and BAWASLU of Tomohon City. This condition does not necessarily mean that the involvement of women in the world of politics goes smoothly, but there are still obstacles that must be faced by women in participating in the world of politics in Tomohon City This research also aims to always revive gender discussions in social life. Gender mainstreaming is one of the agendas that must continue to be implemented in various sectors and lines of social life, especially in the academic environment.

Abstract

Beauty is a fundamental aspect of women's existence. They have aspirations to fulfill society's beauty norms. This research seeks to examine the complexity of the idea of beauty among Palopo City and emphasize its impact on women's consumer behavior. Data was collected using qualitative methodology by conducting in-depth interviews and observations of women from various age groups in Palopo City. Research findings show that women in the city of Palopo conceptualize beauty as a combination of physical aspects that can be measured and non-physical aspects, such as self-confidence and self-perception. Beauty is partly formed by advertisements in the mass media, which align with the goals of capital owners in the beauty business, giving rise to the concept of the beauty myth. Apart from that, this concept is also formed by self-objectification that arises from the social environment. The use of cosmetics has become a basic need for women and increases self-confidence. However, this consumptive behavior also has a negative impact, encouraging a wasteful lifestyle and forming a false consciousness because someone feels valued in society only when they have made an effort to look beautiful.   Keywords: Women, Beauty, Consumerism, Palopo City AbstrakKecantikan merupakan aspek mendasar dari eksistensi perempuan. Mereka memiliki cita-cita untuk memenuhi norma kecantikan dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengkaji kompleksitas gagasan kecantikan di kalangan warga Kota Palopo dan menekankan dampaknya terhadap perilaku konsumtif perempuan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodologi kualitatif, yaitu dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam dan observasi terhadap perempuan dari berbagai kelompok umur di Kota Palopo. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan di kota Palopo mengonseptualisasikan kecantikan sebagai perpaduan pada aspek fisik yang dapat diukur dan aspek nonfisik, seperti kepercayaan diri dan persepsi diri. Konsep kecantikan sebagian dibentuk oleh iklan-iklan di media massa yang sejalan dengan tujuan pemilik modal dalam bisnis kecantikan sehingga memunculkan konsep mitos kecantikan. Selain itu, konsep ini juga dibentuk oleh objektifikasi diri yang muncul dari lingkungan sosialnya. Penggunaan kosmetik telah menjadi kebutuhan mendasar bagi perempuan, dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri. Namun demikian, perilaku konsumtif ini juga menimbulkan dampak buruk, mendorong gaya hidup boros dan membentuk suatu kesadaran palsu bagi mereka karena seseorang merasa dihargai dalam suatu masyarakat hanya ketika mereka telah berupaya untuk tampil cantik Kata Kunci: Perempuan, Kecantikan, Konsumerisme, Kota Palopo

Abstract

Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengkaji tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengerahi remaja bertindak kriminal dan bagaimana bentuk penanganannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif, subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 5 orang yang berasal dari LPKA Tomohon yang merupakan anak yang telah terlibat tindak criminal dan sedang menjalani proses pembinaan. Penentuan subjek menggunak snowball sampling, pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi remaja melakukan tindak criminal yaitu life stile (mabuk-mabukan), broken home, self control rendah, dan pengetahuan seks rendah. Bentuk penanganan yang dilakukan menggunakan dua jenis yaitu penangan penal dan non penal. Implikasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perlu dilakukan langkah pencengahan dan pengentasan dari keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat

Abstract

This study aims to identify the local wisdom of the Minahasa community. Local wisdom is an important part and has been rooted in society. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods by observation and in-depth interviews. The results of the study show that there is local wisdom of the Minahasa community of Maesa-esa'an, Mangenang-puddle, Masawang-sawangan, Matombo- Kuncian, Malinga-lingaan, Mapalus, and Maleo-leosa. This local wisdom still exists in the Minahasa community. However, only parents understand, so efforts are needed to maintain this local wisdom
