Abstract

Tomohon City in North Sulawesi province is one area famous for having a high tolerance among religious people. Multi-religions inhabit Tomohon City; blending several religions makes Tomohon City have its pattern in building a discourse of religious tolerance. In addition, the interaction between religious people in the city of Tomohon is harmonious. This study explains the interaction between visitors, mainly traders and traders in the Pasar Beriman of Tomohon City. Pasar Beriman, famous as the Pasar extreme, is a social arena that shows the social relations between its visitors and depicts a portrait of religious ties between Muslim and non-muslim communities. This research uses the qualitative descriptive method of collecting data through observation, documentation, and interviews directly with market visitors in Tomohon City. This study's results show that visitors' interaction patterns are integrated and associative. It is illustrated by the interactions that are established. So far, there has never been any conflict or disintegration of traders or market visitors. It is in the form of a positive thing to develop an attitude of tolerance for religious people in the city ofTomohon.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide an overview of the local problems of coastal life that tend to spread into global problems that are also faced by coastal women throughout Indonesia and even the world. The research approach used is qualitative research. Qualitative research is a type of research that is understood as research that utilizes descriptive data. data, namely in the form of data in the form of sentences both verbal and non-verbal. The subjects in this study were women from Hyatt beach, Sanur-Bali. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. The results of this study indicate that the economic life of Hyatt beach coastal women, Sanur-Bali is identical to the life of being a fisherman. Socio-cultural life of coastal women is seen in PKK activities, Mejejaitan together, and others. Domestic life of coastal women can be seen in cooking activities carried out when the husband has returned from fishing. Social problems experienced by coastal women of Hyatt beach, Sanu-Bali can be seen in various forms of discrimination that hit women.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan  aplikasi Quizizz sebagai alat pemberian kuis dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Manado. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode True Experimental. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah dengan tes, wawancara, observasi dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penyebaran angket penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa: 1. Motivasi belajar mahasiswa secara daring/online sebelum menggunakan Aplikasi Quizziz dalam kategori rendah. 2. Motivasi belajar mahasiswa secara daring/online sesudah digunakan aplikasi Quizziz tergolong dalam kategori sangat baik. 3.Penggunaan aplikasi Quizziz memiliki peran yang positif dan signifikan dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS Universitas Negeri Manado berdasarkan analisis data dengan menggunakan uji korelasi dan uji gain ternormalisasi hasil koefisien korelasi yaitu 56,25% dan sisanya sebesar 44,75% dipengaruhi oleh variable lain.

Abstract

People's lives have changed in large cities due to the growth of coffee shops. Coffee consumption behavior has become a trend in contemporary society. This research aims to analyze the dynamics of space production in coffee shops in Jalan Roda Culinary Tourism Area (Jarod), Manado City, Indonesia. Researchers used a qualitative approach to describe the social reality in the Jalan Roda culinary tourism area of Manado City. In depth we interviewed visitors, shop owners, and related parties in the Jalan Roda culinary tourism area of Manado City. Observations were made to obtain a clearer picture of the situation and social practices in the Jalan Roda culinary tourism area of Manado City. This research shows that coffee shops are not only a static space but also a social stage that plays an important role in the social dynamics of contemporary society. Coffee consumption activities are not only limited to coffee drinks but also involve various social practices that contribute to the production of social space in certain areas. Coffee shops are a symbol of public space that can be accessed by all levels of society and a place for social and cultural interactions that are part of city life. This research contributes to developing the discourse of social space production and shows how social practices can shape and produce space in society.

Abstract

Beauty is a fundamental aspect of women's existence. They have aspirations to fulfill society's beauty norms. This research seeks to examine the complexity of the idea of beauty among Palopo City and emphasize its impact on women's consumer behavior. Data was collected using qualitative methodology by conducting in-depth interviews and observations of women from various age groups in Palopo City. Research findings show that women in the city of Palopo conceptualize beauty as a combination of physical aspects that can be measured and non-physical aspects, such as self-confidence and self-perception. Beauty is partly formed by advertisements in the mass media, which align with the goals of capital owners in the beauty business, giving rise to the concept of the beauty myth. Apart from that, this concept is also formed by self-objectification that arises from the social environment. The use of cosmetics has become a basic need for women and increases self-confidence. However, this consumptive behavior also has a negative impact, encouraging a wasteful lifestyle and forming a false consciousness because someone feels valued in society only when they have made an effort to look beautiful.   Keywords: Women, Beauty, Consumerism, Palopo City AbstrakKecantikan merupakan aspek mendasar dari eksistensi perempuan. Mereka memiliki cita-cita untuk memenuhi norma kecantikan dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengkaji kompleksitas gagasan kecantikan di kalangan warga Kota Palopo dan menekankan dampaknya terhadap perilaku konsumtif perempuan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodologi kualitatif, yaitu dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam dan observasi terhadap perempuan dari berbagai kelompok umur di Kota Palopo. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan di kota Palopo mengonseptualisasikan kecantikan sebagai perpaduan pada aspek fisik yang dapat diukur dan aspek nonfisik, seperti kepercayaan diri dan persepsi diri. Konsep kecantikan sebagian dibentuk oleh iklan-iklan di media massa yang sejalan dengan tujuan pemilik modal dalam bisnis kecantikan sehingga memunculkan konsep mitos kecantikan. Selain itu, konsep ini juga dibentuk oleh objektifikasi diri yang muncul dari lingkungan sosialnya. Penggunaan kosmetik telah menjadi kebutuhan mendasar bagi perempuan, dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri. Namun demikian, perilaku konsumtif ini juga menimbulkan dampak buruk, mendorong gaya hidup boros dan membentuk suatu kesadaran palsu bagi mereka karena seseorang merasa dihargai dalam suatu masyarakat hanya ketika mereka telah berupaya untuk tampil cantik Kata Kunci: Perempuan, Kecantikan, Konsumerisme, Kota Palopo

Abstract

This research explores the concept of bureaucratic neutrality and its significant role in maintaining electoral integrity, particularly in Indonesia. Political dynasties, with their monopolization of political power, present a major challenge to the democratic process, as they limit electoral fairness and hinder the transparency of election outcomes. The study aims to analyze the relationship between bureaucratic neutrality and democratic processes, emphasizing the need for impartiality in electoral administration. The research methodology includes a systematic literature review, focusing on key studies that examine the impact of political interference and partisanship on electoral processes. The findings suggest that the erosion of bureaucratic neutrality due to political pressures and patronage networks compromises the legitimacy of elections, leading to voter disillusionment and reduced participation. Furthermore, the study reveals that maintaining neutrality is crucial for fostering public trust and ensuring that elections reflect the true will of the people. Implications of the research emphasize the need for stronger institutional frameworks, legal reforms, and independent oversight bodies to protect the neutrality of electoral bureaucrats. The study highlights the importance of transparency, decentralization, and political diversity in creating a fair and competitive electoral system, which is essential for the consolidation of democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Background. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly transformed twenty-first-century education, evolving from a supplementary tool into a central component of data-driven pedagogical ecosystems. Previous bibliometric studies have focused mainly on thematic trends or specific contexts, with limited integration of publication dynamics, collaboration networks, citation structures, and thematic evolution within a single framework. Existing studies also often cover publications only up to 2023 or 2024, leaving recent generative AI developments underexplored. Purpose. This study provides a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of AI research in education indexed in Scopus from 2008 to 2026, examining publication trends, collaborative networks, citation impact, and thematic evolution, with particular focus on the generative AI era. Method. A total of 1,094 journal articles were analyzed using Biblioshiny (Bibliometrix-R). Performance analysis and science mapping techniques assessed annual growth, scholarly impact, international collaboration, thematic evolution, and keyword network structures. Results. Findings reveal a 23.55% annual growth rate, with sharp acceleration after 2017 and peak productivity in 2025, averaging 35.28 citations per document and a 27.97% international co-authorship rate dominated by China and the United States. Thematic evolution shows a shift from conceptual discussions toward adaptive learning, machine learning, learning analytics, classroom implementation, and AI-based assessment. Conclusion. AI in education has evolved into a globally interconnected pedagogical paradigm, offering insights for future policy and responsible AI integration.
