Abstract

Danau Ranau tergolong danau besar sehingga dapat dikatakan memiliki potensi yang besar untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai penyedia air minum, perikanan, irigasi, transportasi dan rekreasi. Sv sebagai bagian dari karakteristik hidroakustik, merupakan parameter acuan dalam mengkaji atau mengkuantifikasi sumberdaya ikan pelagis (densitas, dan sebarannya). Penelitian bertujuan mengkuantifikasi hasil dari penggunaan metode akustik yang diterapkan di Danau Ranau. Data kuantitatif yang diperoleh diharapkan menjadi dasar analisis selanjutnya dalam hal pengelolaan sumberdaya perikanan di Danau Ranau, Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Danau Ranau yang meliputi wilayah OKU Selatan dan Lampung Barat, pada Bulan November 2012 dan Februari 2013. Penelitian menggunakan perangkat akustik split beam echosounder Simrad EY60 frekuensi 120 kHz. Data hasil tangkapan yang didaratkan di Pangkalan Pendaratan ikan di wilayah OKU Selatan yang didominasi oleh ikan pelagis digunakan untuk memverifikasi data akustik. Sebaran ikan berdasarkan nilai volume backscattering strength (Sv) menunjukan penyebaran yang tidak merata. secara spasial, kelompok ikan menyebar di sisi litoral danau, hampir tidak ditemukan di sisi barat laut. Kelompok ukuran kecil ditemukan di barat daya dan selatan danau, sementara kelompok ukuran besar terkonsentrasi di tenggara dan timur. Sebaran secara vertical menunjukan bahwa ukuran dari semua kelompok target (kecil hingga besar) ditemukan di kedalaman 0-75 m, sementara di kedalaman 75-125 m ditemukan ukuran yang relative lebih besar. Suhu dan DO menunjukan bahwa terjadi stratifikasi minor di perairan ini. Koefisien korelasi menunjukan keeratan hubungan antara Sv dengan suhu (0.94), namun tidak demikian dengan Sv dan DO (0.56)

Abstract

Study on bioacoustic learns about sound production, dispersion through elastic media, and reception in animals, including humans, intensity of sound amplitude, sound fluctuation, and sound patterns of fish. Bioacoustic is a multidiscipline science that combine biology and acoustic science that usually refer to sound production research, sound dispersion through the elastic medium, and sound reception in animal including guppy fish (Poecilia reticulata). In this research, salt level about 2 g/mol was added in the water/medium until the salinity was 30 ppm. The result indicated that the sound intensity of guppy fish on days 3 and 7 after the addition of salt reaches the highest value of -44 dB with interval time of 40-50 seconds. This research showed that guppy fish can survive in salinity 30 ppm with sound intensity -48 dB and the frequency of flapping fins or guppy fish stridulatory was 0-19.60 kHz.

Abstract

Sistem multibeam echosounder tidak hanya memperoleh presisi tinggi dalam pengolahan data batimetri saja, tetapi juga mendapatkan resolusi tinggi dalam data backscatter strenght (BS) dasar perairan. Sejumlah penelitian telah menerapkan metode akustik untuk mengklasifikasikan tipe sedimen dasar perairan dengan menggunakan data backscatter, dan hasil klasifikasi yang diperoleh lebih baik daripada sampling sedimen secara tradisional. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengintegrasikan hasil data multibeam echosounder dalam penentuan batimetri dan pengklasifikasian tipe sedimen dasar perairan.Penelitian menggunakan data survei batimetri multibeam echosounder Kongsbergs EM 2040C di Sungai Kapuas Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat. Penentuan batimetri menggunakan metode Combined Uncertainty and Bathymetry Estimator (CUBE), sedangkan klasifikasi tipe sedimen menggunakan metode Angular Response (ARA) dan Sediment Analysis (SAT) yang semuanya tertanam dalam software Caris Hips and Ships versi 9.0. Hasil klasifikasi tipe sedimen secara unsupervised terdapat empat tipe sedimen. Nilai intensitas tipe sedimen kerikil (gravel) berkisar antara -16 dB hingga -13 dB, pasir (sand) berkisar antara -22 dB hingga -17 dB, lumpur (silt) antara -26 dB hingga -23 dB dan lempung (clay) berkisar antara -34 dB hingga -29 dB.

Abstract

Acclimatization is physiological adaptation way or a way from a species to adjust itself with new environment. The purpose of this research is to observe the process of salt level acclimatization in Guppy fish (Poecilia reticulate). Salt level about 2 g/mol was added in the water or environment until the salinity is 30 ‰. Guppy fish males have a body size 5 cm, colour schemes the body and fins are very bright and has a very economical price so as to attract the attention of Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis).That process was done by adding 720 g of salt level each day during 14 days. In the first day, 65 Guppy fishes with average of weight is 1,1 gram and total length is 2,5 cm was added in the water. During 8 days (salinity 18 ‰), Guppy fish can adjust itself with the environmental, however after 8 days mortality rate of the fish is 0,02% - 0,05%. Until the end of the research, the mortality rate is 0,13% (9 fishes). Fish test results conducted in the waters of Pramuka Island, thousand islands, showed fish can swim well and always be in the surface waters without sight change very significant.

Abstract

Sea Anemone is a close relative of corals. It is one of the marine life that is favored by lovers of sea-water ornamental Aquarium. Its body form resembling sponges with a beautiful color on her body. This sea anemone is a software belongs to the animals of animal invertebrates (spineless animals back). However, in the cultivation of fish, Clown fish which is much used living coral. The use of excess numbers of Anemone coral reef ecosystems in a dwindling and threatened to extinction. The results of this research show that the vitality of the living surroundings Amphiprion oscellaris aquariums made by an ideal aquatic environment conditions is not affected by symbiosis with Heteractis magnefica. Amphiprion oscellaris fish maintenance doesn't need sea anemone to survive, so the use of sea anemone can be minimised and replacing with artificial Anemone akuaskap as a decoration.

Abstract

The bottom on benthic substrate type of waters affect the distribution of demersal fish species. Type of the substrate in waters Pangkajene South Sulawesi dominated by muddy sand. The highest distribution of demersal fish was found in the depth of 10.45 m until 15.25 m with substrate muddy sand, demersal fish was the family of kakap or jenaha (Lutjanidae). Fish demersal in waters Pangkajene more influenced by the depth of waters than type of the substrate on the waters.

Abstract

Fisheries acoustics has two main division namely active and passive acoustics. Various acoustic studies with active methods have been conducted to assess the relationship between acoustics with fish density, but combination both mactive and passive methods has never been done to the same fish aggregation. Combining these two methods is expected to deliver an information related to fish density and its trend with both active and passive methods. This study was conducted on tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in controlled condition of 50, 100, and 150 fish individuals with total length range of 10-13 cm. Active and passive acoustic data acquisition carried out for 15 minutes on floating net cage of 2 m × 2 m × 1.8 m in dimension using CruzPro PcFF-80 echosounder 200 kHz (active acoustics) and Dolphin EAR 100 hydrophones (passive acoustics). Active acoustic data is processed using Matlab R2013b to generate value of scattering volume (SV), while passive acoustic data is processed using Wavelab program to obtain the intensity of fish sound in frequency domain, then both are correlated to fish density. The results of SV measurements in fish amounted to 50, 100 and 150 individuals respectively were -45.898 dB, -45,887 dB and -45,888 dB, with the coefficient of determination (R2) reached 0.6583. There is an average decrease in SV in fish totaling 150 individuals suspected to occur due to shadowing effects, also due to small fish used. The highest and lowest intensity of fish sound of 50 fishes in frequency range 0-22 kHz were -28.306 dB and -64.582 dB, 100 fishes were -26.0793 dB and -64.5296 dB, 150 fishes were -28.5246 dB and -64.5679 dB.

Abstract

Ikan gabus (Channa striata) merupakan ikan karnivora yang banyak ditangkap karena rasa dagingnya yang gurih. Keberadaan ikan gabus di Indonesia menyebar dengan sangat luas, namun ancaman terhadap anakan gabus secara terus menerus dapat berakhir dengan kepunahan. Hal ini menjadi penting untuk menganalisis hubungan antara Target Strength (TS) dengan panjang total anakan ikan Gabus (Channa striata), dengan menggunakan instrumen echosounder SIMRAD EK15 untuk manajemen sumber daya, serta mengevaluasi kesehatan populasi ikan gabus. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan 15 ekor ikan gabus dengan rentang panjang badan ikan 10-15 cm, memiliki rentang nilai TS rata-rata -46,80 dB sampai -45,01 dB. Hubungan antara panjang total ikan gabus dan nilai target strength mempunyai hubungan yang kuat dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,8531 dan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,7279, dengan persamaan TS= 64,439ln(L) -215,66.
