Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengetahui kemampuan para siswa Sekolah Dasar penutur bahasa Banyumas dalam menggunakan bahasa Banyumas sehari-hari dan mengetahui jenis kosakata bahasa Banyumas apa saja yang telah hilang atau yang tidak dimengerti oleh para siswa Sekolah Dasar penutur bahasa Banyumas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang dilaksanakan melalui survey dengan cara memberikan kuesioner kepada para responden. Data yang diperoleh merupakan terjemahan kata bahasa Indonesia ke dalam bahasa Jawa Banyumas yang diberikan kepada responden. Selain itu, Peneliti menggunakan teknik instrospeksi yang digunakan untuk mendukung pemerolehan data primer Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian  ini adalah bahwa kemampuan para sisw SD penutur bahasa Banyumas dalam menggunakan bahasa Banyumas sehari hari adalah baik. Pengaruh hilangnya kosa kata diantaranya disebabkan oleh faktor lingkungan, teknologi, dan frekuensi penggunaan bahasa. Peneliti juga menyarankan agar penggunaan bahasa Banyumas demi pelestariannya harus ditingkatkan serta dimasukkannya bahasa Banyumas ke dalam kurikulum.  Kata Kunci: Kehilangan bahasa, kosakata, Banyumas

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran bahasa Inggris khususnya ketrampilan berbicara (speaking) berdasarkan lingkungan kepariwisataan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri untuk mendukung tuntutan kurikuler yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013 dan dunia kerja sebagai tujuan sekolah kejuruan. Penelitian pengembangan pendidikan atau educational research and development (Borg and Gall, 1983) pada tahun kedua program hibah bersaing ini melibatkan guru-guru bahasa Inggris di tiga sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) di Purwokerto untuk mengetahui pendapatnya tentang pentingnya modul pembelajaran speaking yang sesuai dengan lingkungan atau bidang kejuruan siswa; dan mencobakan penggunaan materi speaking di SMK Negri 3 Purwokerto pada siswa kelas X program studi Kepariwisataan dalam sebuah learning action berupa lesson Study. Pengembangan modul pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang difokuskan pada ketrampilan berbicara ini ditujukan untuk melengkapi buku paket dari Kemendiknas agar pemerolehan ketrampilan berbicara (speaking) bahasa Inggris yang sesuai dengan bidang kepariwisataan dapat memenuhi kompetensi life skill siswa di dunia kerja. Tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan wawancara. Pelaksanaan penggunaan Bahan ajar speaking melalui Lesson Study yang berkolaborasi dengan guru-guru bahasa Inggris di SMKN 3 Purwokerto dan diterapkankan di kelas X Kepariwisataan. Semua data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa para guru bahasa Inggris di sekolah menengah kejuruan masih memerlukan modul suplemen yang sesuai dengan bidang studi siswa sebagai pelengkap materi yang ada pada buku paket kurikulum 2013 yang dianjurkan oleh kemendiknas. Hasil penggunaan materi speaking kepada siswa kelas X Kepariwisataan di SMKN 3 Purwokerto melalui LS menunjukkan bahwa siswa aktif dan responsive mengikuti pelajaran dengan mempelajari kosakata yang berkaitan dengan bidang perhotelan dan pariwisata serta mempraktekkan ketrampian berbicara (speaking) dalam berbagai situasi. Dari hasil wawancara dengan siswa, mereka merasa antusias dan termotivasi untuk mempelajari bahasa Inggris yang berkaitan dengan jurusannya dan senang mempraktekkan berbicara dengan teman di kelas. Kata Kunci : Materi ajar berbicara (speaking); Kepariwisatan; Penerapan Lesson Study.

Abstract

Tolerance in religion practices among different groups or differen religious communities is always important in plural societies like Indonesia. However, the fact shows that many intolarance cases still occur in the country. This study is an endevour to explore the tolerance teaching brought  by Gus Baha in his traditional islamic lectures. In addition, the reaction of the public to the teaching was also examined. It adopted a digital ethnography approach employing virtual data as the main sources, including YouTube Video, and the comments of netizen following them. The ideas of tolerance were analyzed thematically, and the comments were classified, following the Appraisal theory (Martin & Rose, 2005). Based on the analysis, it reveals that Gus Baha makes use of old stories involving prophets, the Prophet and his companion as they implemented tolerant practices of daily business and religious matters. The stories there proved upscaled tolerance exemplified by the best models for Moslem communities. The public (netizen) have shown positive responses toward the ideas, as it is proved from their positive emotion (80%), and judgment (74%), meaning they like the idea and agree that they are right. In turn, it is expected that they would practice the models of tolerance in their own daily lives.

Abstract

The training activity on the application of flipped learning for English teachers of Muhammadiyah Junior High School and MTs in Banyumas aims to improve their teaching skills, especially in learning recon texts. The stages of the activity include preparation, implementation, and evaluation. In the implementation stage, the resource person explained the basic theory of flipped learning in language learning, provided examples of material about recon texts, and guided teachers to prepare materials, including vocabulary, generic structures, simple past tenses, and text examples. Participants showed a positive response to the practice of flipped learning through collaborative and independent writing activities based on picture series. Some supporting factors include the active involvement of participants and relevant materials, while challenges include time constraints and variations in teachers' abilities. The follow-up plan includes advanced training, module development, and strengthening teachers' collaborative strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal Gus Baha’s (hereafter referred to as GB) moderation thoughts in presenting discourse on bank interest. The data sources used are the videos of GB’s Islamic lectures broadcasted by several YouTube channels. The oral text data is sorted, based on relevant theme. The data were then studied, based on Fairclough’s (1,2) discourse analysis framework, focusing on textual analysis, and its interpretation. This study applied a lexicographer tool, Ant.Cont. 3.5.9, to map the lexical choices in the speeches. Based on the analysis, the construction of the discourse is marked by the use of certain words like wong (people) for making many story telling to build a logics, the dominance of declarative structure to convey his views and reasons, the humor register to create a friendly atmosphere, and intertextuality of issue history and opinions of some big NU clerics to support his arguments. The main objective of developing a moderate and balanced discourse of bank interest is to build social control as an effort to create a conducive religious and social climate, by providing comprehensive views/arguments to accommodate the variety of opinions that arise. The function of GB’s discourse is to steer a middle way for the disputes in Muslim society

Abstract

This training was designed for public and private elementary school teachers in East Purwokerto who are members of the "SIPAT JUTAS" study group. The objectives were as follows: understanding the syntax of differentiated learning approaches, learning from a range of case studies in lower and upper grades, and being able to apply differentiated learning in a number of disciplines. The program began with a review of previously covered material, followed by brainstorming to introduce new topics. Participants were organized into groups and directed by speakers through case studies. A representative from each group presented the results of their discussions. The presenters then guided them through the case studies. The workshop closed with guided and group conversations about how to implement varied learning in a range of lower and upper-grade school contexts. At the end of session, participants appear to have acquired the approaches for implementing differentiated in their classrooms.

Abstract

Kecerdasan emosional merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan anak, terutama pada tahap awal pendidikan dasar. Namun, observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas 1 di SDN 1 Lancar masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengenali, mengekspresikan, dan mengelola emosi, serta menunjukkan interaksi sosial yang terbatas di lingkungan sekolah. Permasalahan ini menjadi perhatian penting mengingat kecerdasan emosional yang rendah dapat berdampak pada motivasi belajar dan hubungan sosial anak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional anak melalui penerapan alat permainan edukatif (APE) Feel-O-Spin. Kegiatan melibatkan 29 peserta didik kelas 1 dan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan: sosialisasi siswa dan kepada guru, pendampingan bermain menggunakan media edukatif Feel-O-Spin, serta evaluasi melalui observasi perubahan perilaku dan keterbukaan emosional siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan jumlah anak yang mampu mengenali dan menyampaikan perasaan secara verbal, menunjukkan empati, dan berinteraksi sosial dengan lebih baik. Anak-anak juga tampak lebih antusias dan termotivasi mengikuti pembelajaran. Pengalaman lapangan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan berbasis permainan edukatif dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam mendukung penguatan kecerdasan emosional pada peserta didik awal jenjang sekolah dasar.
