Abstract

Research has been carried out on the analysis of the optical properties of Fe3O4/PANi nanocomposites synthesized by the sol-gel method using spin coating. The purpose of this study was to determine the crystal structure, crystal size, surface morphology, and optical properties of the Fe3O4/PANi nanocomposite thin films. One of the applications of optical properties is that it can be used as a semiconductor. In this study, the primary material used was iron sand obtained from Oyster Beach, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra. Iron sand contains a magnetite (Fe3O4) phase, which has the highest magnetic properties, and the polymer used is a type of polyaniline polymer (PANi) which has good chemical stability. Fe3O4 acts as a filler, while PANi acts as a matrix. In this study, five variations of the composition of Fe3O4 in PANi were used, namely 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70%. For the method used, namely the sol-gel method and sample testing using XRD, SEM, and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer characterization tools. The results of the XRD characterization showed that each addition of PANi into Fe3O4 did not affect the resulting crystal structure and had a crystal size below 100 nm. SEM testing revealed the presence of agglomeration and particle size at variations of 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70% were 27 µm, 53 µm, 61 µm, 84 µm, and 46 µm respectively. And the results of the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer test obtained energy gap values for variations in the composition of Fe3O4 in PANi, namely 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70%, respectively, namely 2.51 eV, 2.39 eV, 2.18 eV, 2.35 eV, and 2.30 eV. Based on the research results, it can be proven that the Fe3O4/PANi nanocomposite thin layer is a semiconductor material because it is in the range of 0-3 eV.

Abstract

The development of science and technology that is developing very quickly is challenge for the world of education to prepare students who are able to compete in the current era of revolution. This research aims to produce product in the form of a class XI high school physics e-jobsheet integrated with a STEM approach to improve the skills of 21st century students. The type of research used R&D research with the development model used in this study The development model used is the ADDIE development model. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and questionnaire methods. Based on the data that has been analyzed, three conclusions can be drawn. First, at the analysis stage, four analysts were carried out, the results of the analysis of graduate competency standards analysis of learning activities, analysis of participant characteristics, and analysis of 21st century skills. Second, the validation result is 0.76 with valid category. Third, the results of practicality by educators are 81 with very practical category, for the results of practicality by education participants are 83.53 with categories Very practical. The results of the study concluded that the integrated physics e-jobsheet STEM approach is valid and practical for use in learning

Abstract

Cow dung waste in Pauh sub-district is widely available. Only partly used as a traditional fertilizer. In fact, the utilization of cow dung is one of the alternative sources of renewable energy. Although biogas technology is not something new in Indonesia, the obstacles faced by farmers are their lack of knowledge about processing cow dung into biogas and making of biogas reactors. Community service has been undertaken to provide knowledge through guidance and counseling methods to farmers about biogas, biogas reactor manufacturing and technology, and the advantages of biogas reactors, both in terms of economic and environmental values. Stages of the implementation of the activities; 1). Provide guidance and counseling to farmers about biogas and how to manufacture biogas reactor, 2). Provide guidance and counseling about the safety of biogas reactors, 3). Conduct periodic monitoring of farmer groups that are partners to the continuity and continuity of activities. The result of the activity is the availability of biogas reactor in farmer group in Pauh sub-district. The fermentation process to produce biogas in the reactor is approximately 3 weeks. Biogas reactors are built easy to make and cheap.
