Abstract

Abstract Low understanding of the students in learning physics suspected because physics learning patterns have not been able to optimize students' critical thinking skills. As known, the critical thinking is the key to academic success of a student. Currently, lack of critical thinking skills of students as one of the clear indicators of low quality of education. If this is allowed, then the physics learning outcomes in the future will be very apprehensive. Therefore, efforts should be made to improve critical thinking skills using interactive multimedia teaching materials based on discovery learning aided games. The development of teaching materials are using ADDIE Model. The first step of this model is analysis, i.e. preliminary study of physics learning how to condition that has lasted until today. Based on the analysis of the field findings, will be designed Interactive Multimedia Instructional Materials, and then will be the development of Instructional Materials. In this paper, we will present the results of the initial needs analysis to develop the interactive multimedia teaching materials based on discovery learning aids game for physics learning in the future. Abstract

DC high voltage amplifier is one of the important components to support of PVDF thin films polling equipment. Hardware polling is a very important tool in the characterization of PVDF thin films to increase piezoelectric properties. The existence of the problem will be difficult to obtain a high voltage DC sources of lead in the market encouraged us to design and create high-voltage DC source. In research that has been done I've been able to design and create high-voltage amplifier 30 KV DC as a producer of high electric field. To validate the performance of this high voltage DC amplifier has created further testing and measuring the output voltage. Testing is performed to determine the precision, accuracy and stability of the output voltage of the amplifier for more than 60 minutes. From the test results and output measurements performed show that the relative error of 4.5%. Tool output stability is good enough for a span of 30 minutes. This indicates that the design and manufacture of high DC voltage gain have been successful.   Keywords: DC Amplifier, Electric field, High voltage, Polling, PVDF Film

Abstract

This paper reports the results of a study relating to the synthesis of a novel ternary CoFe2O4/CuO/CoFe2O4 thin film as a giant magnetoresistance (GMR) sensor. The CoFe2O4/CuO/CoFe2O4 thin film was prepared onto silicon substrate via DC magnetron sputtering with the targets facing each other. X-ray diffraction was used to determine the structure of the thin film and a 4-point method was used to measure the MR ratio. The GMR ratio is highly dependent on the ferrimagnetic (CoFe2O4) and nonmagnetic (CuO) layer thickness. The maximum GMR ratio at room temperature obtained in the CoFe2O4/CuO/CoFe2O4 thin film was 70% when the CoFe2O4 and the CuO layer had a thickness of 62.5 nm and 14.4 nm respectively.

Abstract

Understanding the concepts and attitudes of students is one of the essential things in learning. Based on previous researchers’ research, many students have low conceptual understanding or high misconceptions. In addition, students' attitudes towards learning physics are also considered less good. This study aims to determine: 1) students' conceptual understanding of the parabolic motion material, 2) students' attitudes towards learning physics, and 3) the relationship between conceptual understanding and student attitudes towards learning physics. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The sample consisted of 81 students from 3 high schools in Kota Pariaman, representing low, mediu, and high-level schools. The research instrument was in the form of a four-tier multiple-choice concept test about parabolic motion and a questionnaire about students' attitudes towards learning physics. The data analysis technique used is a combination of answers for the concept test and Likert Scale scoring to analyze the questionnaire. The relationship between conceptuaal understanding and attitude was analyzed using Pearson's product-moment correlation. The results showed that students experienced more misconceptions with a fairly high percentage (42,6-72,3). The results of the student attitude questionnaire showed that the indicators of student social implications had the highest percentage (72.3-77.4), and pleasure in learning physics had the lowest percentage (64.8-66.1). The relationship of understanding of concept with te attitude of the student using product moment correlation with a 5% significance three level for high school category show a moderate show a medium correlation and weak correlation with a positive relation of meaning that if the student’s attitude rose then the understanding of the concept of student will also rise or increase as well as otherwise. For students' attitudes, who found that the students' social implication indicators had a higher percentage and the pleasure in learning physics had a lower percentage. Regarding the relationship between attitudes and understanding of students' concepts, there is a moderate correlation, which means that students' attitudes also influenced students' understanding

Abstract

21st century skills are needed that emphasize the ability of everyone to be able to think critically in connecting science with the real world, mastering information technology, being able to work together and communicate. So that everyone should have the ability to use media and information technology to be able to answer the demands of the 21st century. In responding to the demands of the 21st century, the government has designed efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia by developing the 2013 revised 2017 curriculum. The development of the 2017 revised 2017 curriculum contains important points, including: 1) the strengthening of character education. 2) 4C skills consisting of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. 3) Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). 4) Literacy. But I focus more on 4C skills. In the reality found in the field is that the teacher has not applied the problem solving learning model in classroom learning activities, the learning activities are still dominated by the lecture method. According to the teacher, many students still depend on the teacher. This can be seen in solving problems in the form of questions in the book. Not only that, the reality on the ground shows that teachers never make non-experiment worksheets. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of problem solving based LKS based on 4C skills in particle dynamics material and Newton's law of gravity class X SMA / MA. The type of research used is development research using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The validation assessment was carried out by 3 physicists by giving a questionnaire instrumentation containing six assessment components, namely the appropriateness of the contents of supporting material, problem solving models, 4C skills, linguistic feasibility, appropriateness of presentation, and the appropriateness of students' worksheets. As for data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques namely the validity test analysis. Based on the results of this study, the validation of student worksheets based on problem solving with 4C skills in particle dynamics material and Newton's law of gravity are 83.6% with a very valid category.
