Abstract

Curriculum 2013 requires science learning in junior high school is implemented in an integrated with the integration in learning. The facts found in integrated IPA learning schools and the integration of literacy in learning are not in accordance with the demands and student learning outcomes are still in the low category. One solution to this problem is the use of integrated IPA teaching the wave theme in a digital literacy-filled life. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the application of integrated IPA Instruction materials wave theme in the life of digital literacy filled with the results of students learning class VIII SMPN 8 Padang.The type of research used is quasi experiment with nonquivalent control group research design with postes only. The study population is all students of class VIII SMPN 8 Padang. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling and random cluster sampling. The sample in this research is keslas VIII B as experimental class and class VIII H as control class. Instrument for knowledge aspect in the form of written test sheet, attitude aspect in the form of observation sheet, and skill aspect in the form of performance appraisal sheet. Research data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, two comparison test average.Based on the results of data analysis can be expressed research results that the use of teaching materials IPA integrated wave theme in the life of literacy digital era gives a meaningful effect on student learning outcomes that include aspects of knowledge, skills aspects and attitude aspects at the level of 95% confidence. From the results of the research data it can be concluded that the teaching materials of IPA integrated wave themes in the life of iterated digital era in an effective scientific approach for use in integrated science learning.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to investigate the effect of worksheet based-problem solving on students' critical thinking skills in rotational dynamics and elasticity . The research design used is posttest-only. The study involved two sample classes: the experiment class and the control class. Data collection techniques in the form of written tests with a model of description questions. The assessment is based on indicators of critical thinking skills that can be observed The results of the study show by applying the same learning model that is the problem-solving learning model, it can be said that both sample classes occurred an increase in the value of critical thinking skills. However, the critical thinking skills of each indicator are higher indicators of analysis, evaluation, and inference in the experiment class compared to the control class, and the average increase in students' grades is seen from final exam scores and the final test scores of the study in the experiment class are higher than the control class. This means that worksheet based-problem solving is instrumental in improving students' critical thinking skills in rotational dynamics and elasticity materials in Grade XI of High School in Kerinci.

Abstract

The study of nanocomposites have been done much by researchers. Nanocomposites is a mixture of nanoparticle powder consisting of two materials called matrix and filler. The filler used in this study is CoFe2O4 and the matrix is PVDF. This study advantageous for investigating the micro structure of CoFe2O4/PVDF nanocomposite layer. The micro structure to be is the size of crystals, the micro strains, the size of grains and the thickness of nanocomposite layers. It is a research experiment that uses variations in composition 10 ml : 10 ml, 10 ml : 20 ml, 10 ml : 30 ml. The characterization tools used were X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). XRD is used to get the corner of two theta and a half peak width (FWHM) from a layer of nanocomposite. SEM characterization gets to morphology of the surface and the thickness of nanocomposite layers. The thickness of a nanocomposite layer obtained is that 25.11 m, 29.81 m, and 35.51 m. Based of research already done, the more thickness of a nanocomposite layers the size of crystals and micro strains has also increased.

Abstract

Biodiesel is a type of fuel alternative diesel derived from biological materials that are processed vegetable oil transesterification using methanol and catalyst NaOH. One of the vegetable oil is used cooking oil. Used cooking oil is one of the raw materials that have a high chance for the manufacture of biodiesel because it still contains triglycerides in addition to free fatty acids. Biodiesel is made by giving some physical treatment, such as temperature and duration of settling time. To investigate the influence of temperature processes  and duration settling time conducted this research with a variety of 40°C, 50°C, 60°C, 70°C,  and 80°C and duration settling time , for 48 hours, 96 hours, 144 hours, 192 hours and 240 hours as independent variables, Controlled variable is the time stirring for 5 minutes, stirring speed of 1050 rpm, the catalyst base (NaOH), a methoxide liquid is 20%. Dependent Variable is biodiesel quality which covers  viscosity, density, yield, and Flash Point. It was found if the temperature is greater, the viscosity and density decreases. While the highest yield is 76% produced by variations in temperature of 50°C, the average Flash point >110°C, the results of biodiesel according to the SNI Standards. For a settling time variety is not a significant influence in the making of biodiesel with the average for all variations in viscosity between 5.7-5.8 CSt, density of about 861 kg/m3, flash point >110°C and  average yield is 75.8%

Abstract

Currently theeprogressoof material nanocomposite can be applied for some of electronic device, bio medic, and electronic engineering. This is because nanocomposite has multifunction of magnetic properties. Most of device use nanoparticles was made from ferrite material, such as MnFe2O4 with high electrical performance, high magnetic permeability. And as matrix used PANi with good thermal stability and high conductivity. With this advantages, synthesis both material can be applied for electronic device like magnetic sensor. Synthesis MnFe2O4/PANi nanocomposite material with 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70% composition variation of MnFe2O4 with Sol-Gel method has been success. MnFe2O4/PANi nanocomposite was prepared by make of Fe2O3 precursor, make MnFe2O4 and PANi solution with sol-gel method, make MnFe2O4/PANi nanocomposite with spin coating, heating, and sintering the nanocomposite. This nanocomposite characterized with XRD, FTIR, and VSM. Magnetic properties nanocomposite were measured withaa Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). Result of VSM shows value of coercivity (Hc), remanence magnetization (Mr) and saturation magnetization (Ms). Highest value offcoercivity shows in 60% composition variation with score 389,99Oe, from the value of coercivity, we can classified this nanocomposite as a hard magnet. And for the value of saturation magnetization is 1,07 memu and remanence magnetization is 0,35 memu. The applied field of nanocomposite shows in loop hysteresis with range -10000≤ H ≤10000, it show the ferromagnetic behavior. Ferromagnetic is one of material properties which needed for magnetic sensor. So can be concluded that MnFe2O4/PANi nanocomposite can be applied for magnetic sensor.

Abstract

Cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) is a hard magnetic material known for its high coercivity and moderate magnetization, these properties together with great physical and chemical stability, making cobalt ferrite suitable for magnetic sensor applications, magnetic recorders and magnetic sensor building materials. In the field of material, one of the materials that is widely developed today is composite material. CoFe2O4 / PANi nanocomposite was successfully synthesized using the sol-gel method and the growth of CoFe2O4 / PANi nanocomposite layer using spin coating was characterized using X-ray Diffraction to see the size of the Crystal, FTIR test saw the functional group, SEM test to see film thickness. Magnetic properties were analyzed, hysteresis curve obtained remanent magnetization, saturation magnetization and coercivity field. In the experiment there were 5 variations of composition by using CoFe2O4 concentrations in PANi, namely 20%, 30%, 35%, $ 0%, 50%. Based on XRD data, the crystal size of each concentration is 50.7 nm, 20.3 nm, 33.7 nm, 201.4 nm, 194.4 nm. SEM test is 16.4 nm, 50.8 nm, 128.2 nm, 36.8 nm. VSM test obtained hysteresis curve from the curve then obtained saturation magnetization is 12.10, 6.69, 10.77, 5.78, 3.56 (memu), remanent magnetization is 2.39, 1.54, 2.08, 1.91, 1.22 (memu), the coercivity field is 253.31, 353.80, 312.29, 377.76 (Oe).

Abstract

This number applications of microwaves are numerous so that it produces microwaves that emit. If it is not in control, there will be interference with electromagnetic signals. This also causes disruption of the working system of the Neighborhood. CoFe2O4/PVDF nanocomposite synthesized by the sol-gel method for microwave preparation was completed. Making materials to absorb microwaves uses five variations of sintering temperature, namely 250℃, 280℃, 350℃, 400℃, and 450℃. The sintering process is carried out using a furnace. The presence of a single phase on CoFe2O4/PVDF nanocomposite was characterized using X-Ray Difraction (XRD), to see the functional groups using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), and to help wave use carried out using Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). This study discusses the sintering of microwave absorbers.The characterization results using VNA get a maximum Reflection Loss value of -29,7051 dB at a temperature of 400℃, frequency of 11.76 GHz, with absoption coefficient 96%. Different sintering temperatures produce a large amount of different absorptions. Nanocomposite which has a large value of reflection loss does not necessarily have a large answering tape width. The quality of materials that are good for microwave absorbers must also consider the value of the width of the capture band.The best absorption occurs at a temperature of 450 ℃ because have a maximum  reflection loss value -21.116 dB, frequency of 6.00 GHz, absorption band widht  0.54 GHz, and absoption coefficient 91%.

Abstract

Snail paddy shells (Pila ampullacea) located in sub-discricts Simpang Alahan Mati Pasaman contain lots of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) that is widely utilized in the industry. On the research of test data was obtained in the form of deposits of calcium levels XRF shell snail paddy is 93,438%. Based on test data XRD is obtained that information due to the temperature of the calcination transformation phase aragonite to calcite phase. The rising temperature of calcination causes a change of the structure of CaCO3 from Hexagonal structure to Ortorhombik structure. The rising temperature of calcination, grain size CaCO3 anyone rise to a certain temperature and then decline, as the grain size increases from aragonite before dikalsinasi 83,872 nm became 106,302 nm dikalsinasi on temperature after 380 ̊C. While the phase of calcite have grain size on temperature 380 ̊C, 410 ̊C, 440 ̊C, 470 ̊C and 500 ̊C each 118,983 nm, 139,882 nm, 137,067 nm, 140,047 nm, and 63,533 nm

Abstract

Nanocomposite ofCoFe2O4-polyaniline (CoFe2O4/PANi) with various variationsCoFe2O4 and PANi 20%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 50% which was synthesized by sol-gel method. Samples are characterized by X-ray difractionandLCR meterwith  CoFe2O4compositions 20%,30%,35%,40% and 50%. Nanocomposites of CoFe2O4/PANi in prepares using sol-gel method wih precursors Fe(NO3)3.9H2O and Co(NO3)2.6H2O with PANi.The Samples the gel shaped thin layer of nanocomposite is characterized usingX –Ray Difraction and LCR meter. The XRD characterization results obtained the crystal size values on the composition variations is 44,86 nm, 39,86 nm, 41,47 nm, 59,65 nm, 57,42 nm  and LCR meter characterization have value is  12,2x10-9 F, 11,2x10-9 F, 10,8x10-9 F, 9,6x10-9 F, 7,3x10-9 F. Variations in composition of nanocomposite CoFe2O4/PANi affect the value of crystal size and electrical properties of nanocomposites CoFe2O4/PANican be applied to  supercapasitor.

Abstract

Concrete conductive using graphite powder as a conductive material has not been optimized in their use of construction materials. Therefore, be used graphite powder as an ingredient added in the sand for the manufacture of concrete that is conductive. So with the addition of graphite powder in the sand is expected to produce electrical conductivity in the concrete. This is caused by the addition of carbon (C) contained in graphite powder is able to conduct electricity through the cement paste and aggregate, thus increasing the electrical conductivity of concrete. Has been testing an electric conductivity in volume of concrete K-350 with the addition of graphite powder variation of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% using the test method Four-Point Probe. Results of testing the value of the electrical conductivity in the volume of concrete for each successive age the age of 7 days is 0.0229 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0286 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0306 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0358 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0374 (Ω.m)-1. At the age of 14 days in a row is 0.0132 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0177 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0207 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0250 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0291 (Ω.m)-1. At the age of 21 days in a row is 0.0099 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0135 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0155 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0164 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0204 (Ω.m)-1. At the age of 28 days in a row is 0.0074 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0101 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0111 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0121 (Ω.m)-1, 0.0152 (Ω.m)-1. From this study it can be concluded that the addition of graphite powder variations can increase the value of the electrical conductivity in the volume of concrete K-350, but declined against the concrete.
